I was craving for Shari Shari again! So, after dinner I decided to go to have my favourite shaved ice in Hong Kong. I like the variety of the flavours they offered, tonight I chose the chestnut and the hojicha with warabimochi. Believe it or not, I had my first chestnut in HK and I fell for it deeply! The chestnut flavour was intense, the purée covering over the ice wasn’t too sweet. It matched with the smooth shaved ice so well! Hojicha had a roasted aroma and some people might dislike it as it

I was craving for Shari Shari again! So, after dinner I decided to go to have my favourite shaved ice in Hong Kong. I like the variety of the flavours they offered, tonight I chose the chestnut and the hojicha with warabimochi. Believe it or not, I had my first chestnut in HK and I fell for it deeply! The chestnut flavour was intense, the purée covering over the ice wasn’t too sweet. It matched with the smooth shaved ice so well! Hojicha had a roasted aroma and some people might dislike it as it’s pretty strong, but when you had it with the shaved ice, it became milder yet still keeping the roasted aroma! And the warabimochi on top was so chewy and I love the kinako aka the roasted soy flour that coated the warabimochi. It made the mochi even more appealing!
