We tried this restaurant by chance since we parked @ Elements. I recalled I went to the pub style restaurant last time and wanna tried something different, we walked around the area and my Italian gene just brought me to Joia. The good thing dining @ the rooftop is that you got to enjoy the al fresco dining without worrying too much about the car passing by or the dust from the street. We don't really have any expectation on Joia, I just felt very comfy at the moment I was seated as Joia offers

We don't really have any expectation on Joia, I just felt very comfy at the moment I was seated as Joia offers fine dining without the ornate decoration.

 The bread basket was nice as a starter and we could enjoy the wine right away, cheers!

  Beef Tenderloin Tartare with Artichokes, Green Apple, Soya & Ginger Sabayon served with a Shooter of Arugula and Lemon - love the combination & seasoning and it's just simple & refreshing to the palate.

 It's my decision to order the pizza and I do think it's kinda a ritual to have my red to go with a Parma ham pizza.  The thin crust pizza here is amazingly good, it's thin but not dry and yet very crispy!!!  I have to give this pizza a 5-thumb up, you definitely have to give it a try (if they can keep the standard 
) if you happen to come to Joia.

 Home made Prawn-Filled pasta with Boston Lobster, Black Truffles and Asparagus - this was impressive, I am not a big fan of riviolli but then the smell & taste of this dish was indeed very nice.  It's not a big portion but good enough to share between the 2.  The lobster is handled carefully that it's not over-cooked.  If you like pasta and something with a stronger taste, this will be a dish to tryout.
 Hmm, I don't remember since when I am so much indulged in Tiramisu, a cheese cake I used to hate in the past.  Since then, I will order Tiramisu at every single Italian Restaurant I frequent.  The one @ Joia is a bit different from the traditional style but I will say the presentation won the applause from me.  Taste-wise, it's not bad as it's creamy (but not overly creamy) and I really like taste of the marsala wine though personally I prefer a stronger accent of espresso with wine.
