This was my first time to try a portuguese restaurant in Hong Kong. For me, dining at a portugese restaurant is a must-do thing every time visiting Macau. But in Hong Kong, there're just too many good restaurants around. The entrance was nicely decorated. I booked a table for lunch at 1:30pm on a weekday. The entrance was nicely decorated. I booked a table for lunch at 1:30pm on a weekday. To my surprise, the restaurant was still full when we arrived at 1:40 pm. It was a 10-minute wait before we got a table for party of 2. The restaurant used olives as starter. The lunch set was a 3-course set (soup/salad, main dish, desert).
We had
Seafood soup--smell good but weak in flavour
Octopus salad--the texture of the octopus was perfect, not too chewy, not too mushy.
Suckling pig with rice and chips--crispy skin and tender meat. Texture of the meat was so tender that I thought I was eating chicken meat. Rice served with suckling pig was strong-flavoured. Chips was crispy but a little too greasy.
Fruit salad with lemon sorbet--very refreshing especially after eating the suckling pig
Crumble apple with vanilla ice-cream--average
I think the restaurant was understaffed. Our table was not properly set. The waitperson forgot to give me 1 more set of silverware for my salad. Also, I had to wait a long time before having someone to take my orders. The staff there were nice though. Overall
