LHC Coffee is a new coffee shop in the Wanchai area. As it was new, I decided to give it a try because I'm always looking for pretty good independent coffee shops. It's a small take away shop with very minimal seating.Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge. Along with coffee, they also serve fancy sandwiches along with tea.I decided to get a flat white ($35). Unlike many of the other places, they didn't have any form of latte art. Which is fine by me as long as the coffee is go

I decided to get a flat white ($35). Unlike many of the other places, they didn't have any form of latte art. Which is fine by me as long as the coffee is good as I found some places that do a masterful latte art but the coffee is just plain bad. Size was a bit smaller than some places but it was acceptable for me. I hate a bit cup of coffee anyways. It smelled nice but the taste was a bit average. There was a bit too much milk but yet it still didn't cover the taste of the beans which was a bit fruitier than I would have liked. I know a lot of people like their coffee fruity but I don't. I guess it's personal preference.
The coffee was ok. It wasn't exceptional. Price was not overly expensive like some are charging now a days. I must admit, they have stiff competition in this area with some pretty excellent coffee shops that surround it (and one of them is a particular favorite of mine). Would I be back? It's new so I'd give it another try before truly deciding. But in the meantime ... its a nice option when you don't have the patience to wait for your coffee in the more popular ones in the surrounding area.
