My friend recommended this place and said their KFC was really good. I was kind of skeptical. I dont know why, but I guess I thought that hey there are tons of KFC around this area what makes this special? Haha.. I was wrong, this place is good!! We did not have a booking (I forgot if they accept reservations or not) but anyway the meeting time was supposedly 7PM. We ended up waiting in line for around 30-45 minutes. You cannot see the interior of the restaurant from the outside as the walls are
You cannot see the interior of the restaurant from the outside as the walls are tinted. Once we were shown in, the place was quite.. simple? Since we were 6, we were given the side table/booth right next to the entrance/exit. I liked it because we were isolated from the others and it was like we had our own space.
We ordered 1 plate of korean fried chicken (not the one with the spring onions); a plate of sweet and sour spicy korean chicken and a plate of assorted fries. My favourite out of all was the KFC (obviously..!) It was crispy and had the right amount of spices. Chugged down with a can of Asahi beer = heaven! The sweet and sour korean chicken was OK.. I don't know, but for me they have this at Hungry korean too albeit smaller (but it is really good because the to me the sauce is just right) so I wanted to try it at HOF & SOJU.. However, the sauce was overpowering and too thick..
The assorted fries were good too and for a party of 6 people we managed to finish 99.9% of what we ordered, complete with beers and even sharing a pitcher of grape soju. If memory serves me correctly, we each paid around $130 per head which is not a bad deal. If I am craving KFC, I would definitely come back here.
题外话/补充资料:
FYI, their toilets are single occupants but complete with a sink so it's ok to get your hands dirty (which is what you should be doing anyway at a KFC specialty restaurant)
