I have been to Ocio a few times and I have really enjoyed their tea set and the all day breakfast special. Chocolate Praline CakeI had this with a coffee as part of their tea set. Green Tea Cheesecake
My partner had this cake as part of the tea set. I thought the cheesecake element of the cake was good, it was more like a French cheesecake, so it was quite light and mousse-like. I wished the cake tasted more strongly of green tea... I felt that it was an overwhelming citrus flavour, which I didn't really expect.
All Day Breakfast
The all day breakfast they do is pretty wonderful! I think for the price you get a lot of nice food plus a beverage. I went with a German friend who was particularly impressed by the sausage that they served as it reminded her of a real German sausage.
One time I went to Ocio around lunch and decided I would order the lunch set... I would really not recommend eating the lunch set there. I found it very disappointing compared to the rest of their food.
Salmon Crepe
I like crepes, but this was mostly cheese and smoked salmon inside... The crepe was rather thick. I overall found it unenjoyable and very heavy.
Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
My partner had the spaghetti with meat sauce, we both agreed that it wasn't the restaurant's forte. We both prefer pastas that are cooked al dente, so the pasta was pretty over cooked, the sauce was "whatever". I feel I would prefer to cook pasta at home.
Overall I enjoy this restaurant and very happy that it is in the neighborhood, it's a great place to hang out and enjoy an afternoon coffee and cake!
