Within a span of half year, Hong Kong became engulfed in bubble tea shops. They were everywhere! And all focusing on brown sugar boba milk tea. The very popular ones were mostly located in Causeway Bay, with expansions to the rest of Hong Kong such as Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui. With every new shop that opened, I wanted to try them all. 下站帖 (English name: Next Battle) is a small take away bubble tea shop. A Hong Kong based bubble tea shop, they use their tea from a place in Taiwan called Tea-Work. And with that, they want to provide the best tea imaginable to the public.
Menu is in English and Chinese. They offer all sorts of teas but they had a list of their most popular. You can adjust the ice and sugar content as well.
I decided to get the (on the right) brown sugar milk with pearl ($30) and boyfriend ordered (on the left) the honeyed black tea with salted cheese milk foam ($36).
The brown sugar milk tea boba had a lot of sugar coated on the sides. The boba was soft and sweet. Compared to Tiger Sugar, I thought it wasn't as sweet as them nor as creamy. This place was a bit more lighter. The honeyed black tea with salted cheese milk foam had a strong tea base. It was fragrant. Combined with the very creamy and slightly salty cheese foam, it was a good combination.
Fairly good drinks with a good tea base. Not as sweet as other places which is a good thing.
