My friend told me we were going to have italian at K-11. Then, he brought me to this small yet neat restaurant, which I initially thought it was the changing room of a concept store. Appetizer: Beef carpaccio; parma ham with melon; and onion soup
Main: roast chicken and pan-seared salmon pumpkin risotto
Dessert: Madagascar Coco cake and Napoleon
Nothing really special about the beef carpaccio and parma ham. The onion soup was alright; the soup base was rich, but not too strong. The amount of cheese was not quite enough compared to the traditional onion soup, but ok not to make us too full for other food.
The roast chicken was tasty, but the portion was a bit small. I guess the pan-seared salmon pumpkin risotto became the best dish of the night. The salmon was seared just right, not over-cooked. The skin was crisp and the meat remained juicy. The pumpkin risotto was quite special; the starchy texture with a touch of sweetness did go pretty well with risotto.
The Napoleon with creamy vanilla taste custard and the rich chocolate Coco cakes were delicious. And then we found out Kitchen M is of the same group as the Oven House. No wonder the desserts are pretty good.
