Well, rite after the funeral, my mom and I was starving and we decided to take a short walk to Taikoo Place for dinner. Thai Orchids is everywhere but my mom never tried that before, so we gave it a shot. The appetizer is a disappointment, as everything was too greasy and the pork was basically tasteless. The spring rolls were not freshly deep fried as they ain't crispy at all. The veggie pot was just too dry, and it tasted more like a Guangdong dish rather than a Thai dish. The best dish of what we ordered was the fried rice, though the eggplant in it ruined it. The green curry tasted alrite and the prawns were fresh.
When we asked for the tab, we specifically asked about whether any credit cards had discount and they only said Hang Seng Bank Credit Card could use its Cash Dollar at there, with no mention whatsoever on other cards, such as DBS Platinum. I can't believe they would use such a trick!!!
