I love laksa and I always love to try out new locations. This time, I visited Uncle Ching with high hope but it was quite disappointed. Their 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗸 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮 was so bland that I needed to use my imagination to relate this bowl of noodle with laksa. Not sure was that the flavour as it should be😵💫But I added like three big spoons of sambal and some fermented chillis to the bowl then I finally tasted something but sadly not a laksa flavour. Even though I love to support new restaurants, I really did
Having said that, the 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 were nice, like Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken. It would be great to have it as bar snack. And the 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶 𝗦𝗼𝗱𝗮 was perfect for summer too. Hope they can consider this as a constructive comment and perhaps fine tune to suit the palate of HK people.
