I've seen this place opened for awhile and was looking forward to try it.Today me and my coworker had the opportunity to drop by at lunch to test this place out. Today me and my coworker had the opportunity to drop by at lunch to test this place out. We were taken upstairs to the outdoor dining area, which was quite nice provided it had the outdoor heat lamps for the chilly afternoon.
I was feeling for something light so I opted for the $58 caesar salad set (with a drink) and my co worker opted for a $68 curry chicken rice.
When my caesar salad arrived, i literally thought it was an appetizer. Not only was the portion ridiculously small, but the quality was SUPERBLY disappointing. What i got was a bunch of lettuce, mixed with around two cherry tomatoes sliced into quarters, and what looked like store bought/packaged dry cold bacon bits and croutons (crumbs) sprinkled with powder parmesan cheese. I couldn't believe that i was charged for what i got! It was poorly executed and was not filling at all.
when i spoke to the waiter to give him some feedback, all he kept repeating was "o so you wish for a larger portion?" Yes, a larger portion that actually FILLED a person up would be nice...HOWEVER, my point was that it was not balanced for the money i am paying for what was presented. Either you create a small salad with higher quality ingredients, or just a larger salad period. i understand that this place is not a salad bar. But if you are going to put a salad option on the menu AND charge people a whooping $58 (+$30 if i wanted smoked salmon), it better at least come close to being worth it. I've never felt so "robbed" from dining at a restaurant. in the end i was not offered a discount or the meal being opted. Not sincere at all in my opinion.
Will I go back? Maybe...but definitely not any time soon. I'll be sure to share my experience, and avoid ordering anything but seafood.
