Mr. C and I had a late breakfast, we didn't had lunch so we decided to go for an afternoon tea. But I don't really have a sweet tooth... so when it comes to a decision between sweet and savoury, I would most definitely choose this - The Big Fernand! The Big Fernand Burger meat patty was fresh and juicy, very flavorful. The cheese on it, was called "Tomme de Savoie cheese". It was so good. It was all melted nicely, covering the whole of the patty. Very rich and adds to the texture! There were also sun-dried tomatoes in it and it adds the acidity and gives it a lot of flavor, without having to add ketchup or any other extra sauce!
The Homemade french fries were good too. We chose paprika garlic instead of provence herbs for the seasoning. But I must say, probably it was late afternoon and the fries were not as big and fat and long and fresh. It was bits and pieces, small pieces actually. Oh well, it was still good.
While we were eating, I was surprised I didn't make a mess out of myself. You know how usually eating gourmet burgers, either the sauce would be dripping down or the ingredients would be falling off your face. This burger was actually very clean. I guess because there wasn't much sauce (not much sauce needed), and there wasn't lettuce nor fresh tomato or pickles, etc. So depending on if you like those in your burger.
I would definitely go back for the burger again. I like clean burgers and I love the cheese that goes with the meat patty!
