One of the restaurants is called Hungry Lobster. It's located on street level. Their concept is they serve everything lobster. Lobster bisque, lobster pasta, lobster rolls, lobster, lobster, lobster! Curious about their lobster rolls, I decided to give them a try. A fairly spacious restaurant, there is an open kitchen one side. Ordering is at the cashier where you pay, cash only, no 10% service charge. Menu is in English only. They have sets that include a pasta or roll with fries or soup. They also have steak for those that don't want lobster. The list of drinks is also a bit limited to pressed juices by Blessed. To me, that is a bit limiting as some people may not want a juice but perhaps a soft drink or something more regular. If they had these items, they didn't list it on the menu so this is a bit disconcerting to a customer who comes in and only sees juice and nothing else. But don't fret if you don't want juice. They do offer free water which is what I ended up with. As I was here to try their lobster roll, I came here for lunch and ordered their lobster roll and soup set for $198.
The soup was a lobster bisque. This was actually very good. There was a strong taste of seafood that was not covered up by the tomato base. It was thick and creamy. But I wasn't here for soup. I wanted lobster roll. This was served with a side of salad that was evenly tossed with a simple, light vinaigrette. I noticed they had a small container of melted butter. Though I didn't need it as I felt the roll was buttery enough, it's a pretty good option for those that can't get enough butter and can more to it.. And the roll? Though a bit smaller than Lobster Central (and clearly not as much lobster meat as they do), this was much more buttery in taste. A key to a good lobster roll is the buttery goodness. And that is what it provided. The roll was smothered in butter. There were chunks of lobster that was perfectly cooked and seasoned with an array of herbed butter. Not chewy at all (though I did get a bit of the cartilage in mine). Everything was just rolling in the golden dairy from the gods. It was so good. Very good lobster roll and I'll be back to try out the other items. Or just return for a lobster roll. Beautiful layout. Service was alright for some place that is new. I will be back.
