Great deco, nice lunch and good service

New year celebration continued with lunch at Lai Heen. The traditional Chinese deco is just right - not too extravagant but comfortable and elegant. It was not a thick menu but with enough choices. Waiters are helpful and know the menu/dishes well. We had roasted goose (not a big fan of bbq pork which is supposed to be best), veggies, pumpkin soup with crab meat, shrimp dumplings, and scallop steamed vermicelli roll. Waiters are helpful and know the menu/dishes well. We had roasted goose (not a big fan of bbq pork which is supposed to be best), veggies, pumpkin soup with crab meat, shrimp dumplings, and scallop steamed vermicelli roll. In general, high quality ingredients and you know the chef wants to do everything right and is trying to innovate and cook with his heart. Got to say the taste was not spectacular or outstanding; probably just ok. But still, a nice place for high quality food and service.
