This izakaya is at the basement of Landmark Alexandra in Central, on the passage connecting to the MTR station, where the space used to be a wine shop I frequently visit. The place offers casual Japanese cuisine, and on this Friday evening, it is packed with customers, many of whom I believe are people working nearby enjoying the happy hour.The place has a bar counter plus the usual dining tables, with simplistic yet hip and vibrant décor. The burgundy red tiled walls, wooden furniture, create a welcoming and relaxing vibe. Having made a reservation in advance, we are seated at a table at the back, and quickly order the buy one get one beer and ginger ale to quench the thirst from the hot summer days.Ordering the first round of skewers, we have picked mostly from the list of happy hour special offer. Okra ($22 each) is nicely seasoned and not dried from grilling.Wagyu Sukiyaki Roll ($41 each) has enoki mushroom and vegetable wrapped inside the wagyu, together with a section of negi in between, paired with raw egg yolk.Shiitake Mushroom ($22 each) has a beautiful cut on the surface to resemble the maple leaf. Again nicely seasoned and still moist after the grill.The bone has been removed from Salted Chicken Wing ($25 each) to make it easier for customers to enjoy, with the meat tender and appropriately seasoned with salt, grilled to a golden colour with the skin crispy. One of my favourite pieces.The Homemade Tsukune ($42 each) is the only one not on the happy hour menu. The minced chicken meatball has a nice sweet and savoury glazing, with some soft bones inside adding a bit of crunchy bites. Another of my favourites.Finishing the first round, we order the next and almost order all the varieties available on the happy hour menu. The staff warned us that the Jumbo Green Pepper ($22 each) can be a bit spicy, but it turns out to be so spicy that we could not finish it. Only for those who can really take up strong spicy food.We also have Mario Truffle Edamame ($38). The bean pods are nicely cooked, infusing the beans with rich flavours but not excessively salty. The garlic and truffle further adds to the taste.Zucchini ($22 each) has a nice roast on the surface, cooked well and still retain a crunchy texture. Beautifully seasoned as well.Salted Pork Belly ($28 each) has the right amount of fat and lean portion of meat, very nicely grilled, and with salt it highlights the original natural flavours best.Thick Cut Bacon ($30 each) has a fragrant smoky note, with the bacon not too fatty. Paired with a bit of mustard it is delicious.Each of us finishing with nine skewers, all of them very nicely prepared and grilled, not feeling greasy at all. The service is also commendable, with the staff friendly and helpful, despite being super busy. The bill on the night is $706, very reasonable. It is a great place for skewers, and next time perhaps we should also try their ramen. 繼續閱讀

來自日本的「GOGYO五行」位於中環地鐵往歷山大厦的出口,餐廳具日式居酒屋風格,主打日本拉麵、串燒,也有很多酒類選擇。🍜濃厚雞白湯沾麵期間限定的全新菜式,以長時間熬製的雞湯為基底,湯頭濃卻不會過鹹,原來雞白湯裡巧妙地融入多款清甜素菜湯令湯底更清新,還能一次能體驗到兩種吃法。首先是沾麵,寬扁太麵條厚實沾著湯汁,口感彈牙。再來是將湯倒入石鍋飯中,飯上鋪著芝士粉,配著湯汁口感順滑芝士香氣濃郁。雞肉的份量不少,口感肉質細嫩,南瓜鬆軟十分入味。整體好有驚喜,值得一試。🍜吉列北海道十勝豬扒金黃酥炸的外皮,看上去十分邪惡。份量大,厚切的豬扒一口咬下,肉汁香甜加上鮮嫩口感,油脂適中,不沾任何醬汁也很美味。🍢蓮藕脆片將薄切的蓮藕拿去炸得金黃,口感很酥脆。🍢蘆筍豚肉串蘆筍搭配豚肉,口感外嫩內脆,豚肉油脂豐富,完全不會乾柴。總體而言,餐廳都有不錯的表現,環境舒適,地點方便,最適合放工來Relax下。 繼續閱讀

🎏樹熊好鍾意食拉麵,上次同佢去過中環《GOGYO五行》呢間高級日式拉麵店念念不忘,樹熊今日忽發奇想又想食拉麵🍜,所以再次到來試吓其他麵款!📌地理位置真係超級方便,中環地鐵站H出口一出就係歷山大廈,餐廳就係呢個出口嘅位置。📌中環依然都係走高檔暗黑路線,一排木凳吧枱位,另外,仲有好多四人座位同梳化位🛋️,枱與枱之間距離感好足,成件事坐得好舒服!📌原來《GOGYO五行》近期出咗好多新品,包括各款拉麵、佐酒小食、刺身或者串燒等等,樣樣都好似好吸引,每樣都要試一款!📌其中,「濃厚雞白湯沾麵」更是今期的主打,由10月9日起至11月下旬有售,今次熊妹可以先睹為快真係好興奮😍!📌另外,Happy Hour 時段5-7pm,各類酒精飲品同薑味汽水都係買一送一,仲有多款特選佐酒小食同串燒都係八折優惠,絕對啱晒中環附近上班族人士五點放工過嚟happy happy吓🍻!濃厚雞白湯沾麵 ,$HK$158《GOGYO五行》本身主打拉麵,今次出埋沾麵真係要試吓!沾麵用上扁太麵,麵底份量好多,然後面頭放上沾麵嘅配料,跟上一碗雞白湯同埋一碗迷你石鍋南瓜芝士飯,成份沾麵餐份量都幾多!好驚奇地扁太麵口感係好煙韌,食落口好彈牙,夾一住扁太麵放入熱騰騰的雞白湯入邊♨️,濃稠的雞白湯更放入多款清甜素菜材料,味道濃郁又出少許蔬菜嘅清新風味💫,質感杰身能夠掛滿每一條扁太麵上,完全吸盡湯底的精華!老實說,平時多數食拉麵,今次《GOGYO五行》嘅沾麵款式係令樹熊同熊妹大為驚喜!配料仲有每款兩片的低溫慢煮雞胸叉燒同雞腿肉叉燒,雞肉肉質幾嫩滑,本身慢煮已經經過調味鹹鹹地,再沾上雞白湯汁,令雞精味道更加昇華!另外,隨餐更附上意式迷你石鍋南瓜芝士飯,店員建議品嚐完沾麵後,留下少許雞白湯汁再倒入石鍋之中,變成意式燉飯,帶汁的米飯粒食落口感濕潤,面頭灑上芝士粉融入喺雞白湯之中,令到味道更為惹味濃郁,係好唔錯嘅一個fusion菜食法!味噌豚骨拉麵 ,$98食完沾麵,梗係要點一款正宗湯拉麵啦!拉麵條條粗幼相同!食落好有咬口,拉麵店做的拉麵果然係正宗啲!配料有兩大片豚肉,半顆半熟玉子🍳同一大堆蔥花粒,而一碗拉麵最緊要係個湯底!呢款味噌豚骨拉麵係經典豚骨拉麵湯底之餘再加上自家秘製辣味噌,辣味噌融入湯底入邊添多一份辣味辛香🌶️,食落又唔算好辣,夠哂惹味,專重拉麵師傅係要連湯飲埋架!真鯛魚薄切配大葉柚子酢 ,$128新品出了呢款真鯛魚刺身,一碟有六大片真鯛魚片,撈上一大堆紫蘇青醬汁,仲鋪上了一連串大大粒三文魚籽,賣相顏色好鮮豔奪目👀。紫蘇醬味道酸甜好清新,真鯛魚片食落好新鮮,無魚腥味,包埋三文魚籽食,更吊出鹹鹹的海鮮味,成個配撘做得好夾!另外,再可以淋上跟上的柚子汁又加多點酸甜柚子味,呢款刺身配醬汁确實好掂!Unica 山椒鑒炸雞翼,$18(Happy Hour 8折價)小食點左款炸雞翼,雞翼經調味後去炸,炸皮脆卜卜,收乾油份,炸粉不厚,好香口,椒鹽味重,全翼連翼尖食好滿足,仲有Happy Hour價8折,係幾抵食!Dry Ginger Ale,$38岩岩好仲有Happy Hour ,有得買一送一,真係好抵!唔想飲酒精,無酒精飲品就係有呢款薑味汽水!幾🆗喎!少少薑味又有汽水嘅甜味同氣!坊間好飲到呢款味道汽水!📌整體來說,《GOGYO五行》拉麵店不定時推出的新品係幾有驚喜,今次的「濃厚雞白湯沾麵」做法夠新穎之餘份量又夠多,係值得不定時到來探店一下! 繼續閱讀
