Nice Ambiance plays a vital role in a good diner
. The service is quite good that the waiters are willing to tell you more about their signature cusine-- barbecued meat and Peking Duck. You should order these two signature dishes when you reserve the table ! ( We failed to order the Peking duck even we reserved a week before
)

However,the unique light decoration is not very attractive for us, being too dark. Sometimes,we can't capture photos of our authentic Chinese cuisine without lighting candles

The barbecued meat (Cha Siu)($360) : 4.5/5. The sweet sauce is perfect ,with a noticeable salty smoked flavor. Meat is very tender and mouth-watering , quite different compared to "Char siu " in Cha Chaan Teng (ofc, as well as the price

One of the best dishes here will be "Smoked Black Cod". The skin is crispy ,with its tempting sweet-and-sour sauce. It's pretty declious and the food presentation is very captivating ( You can record a video of fish with its smoke !)

Egg White is Silky ,but a bit tasteless . Definitely, we should eat the egg white with salty caviar, what's a fascinating and mouth-watering combination. The lobster is chewy and fresh. Not bad at all

Wagyu Beef Ribs($620) :5/5

The characteristics of a good quality Beer Ribs can lead to nothing quite like a nice bit of juicy, tender meat once cooked to perfection. And the steak here is almost perfect
. The succulence of the flesh, coupled with the way it can fall apart and get good uses of marinades, spices, and herbs make meat so incredibly versatile and brilliant to cook with.

Dessert:
Sesame tart ($180@4) is okay. It tastes like a mixture of sorbet and ice cream. The Lime inside enhances its flavour, making the tart not too sugary.
The walnut topping is very crispy. Actually,the contrast in texture does enhance the overall flavour of this dessert.


Xiao Long Bao ($195@4) is stunning, just like an art . The traditional appearance and concepts of Chinese Xiao Long Bao is very eye-catchy ,combined with modern twist of creamy chocolate. This innovative combination is very memorable and special.

灌湯餃入面有少量瑤柱,一粒帶子,一舊仔冬菇,冬瓜蓉。湯頭係清但真係無咩味

今日屋企人生日,家姐就揀咗呢一間喺渣打銀行中環嘅mott32, 呢一間餐廳非常出名之前已經見過有好多唔同人介紹,我都同屋企人非常期待,我哋首先預訂咗叉燒,當日去到嘅時候,確認咗定位之後就好快入到去!餐廳嘅座位非常闊落,而且入邊係坐得幾舒服,非常適合家人聚會,而且唔會太嘈,我同屋企人都對安排非常滿意!其中佢哋最欣賞嘅就係佢嘅西班牙黑毛豬,呢一個叉燒既肉質好鬆軟,餐廳喺烹調嘅過程做得好好,成個黑毛豬叉燒肉汁好豐富,烤製叉燒時候嘅醬料亦都好香,咬落去嘅時候亦都好有口感,厚切,好perfect!另外嗰個蟹子炒飯都好好,好乾身,屋企人好鍾意食,而且口感好多元化,成個炒飯非常高級!

The cold jellyfish appetizer from the course was very tasty. The soup, made with pureed green beans, was rich and flavorful. However, the main dish, which was fried shrimp, felt a bit heavy, especially after having eaten the Peking duck. The fried rice made with the leftover Peking duck was also good. The dessert at the end was like an ice cheesecake coated in sesame, and it was refreshing. While I probably wouldn’t visit again on my own, it’s a great restaurant to entertain friends from out of town.

第一次黎試,片皮鴨要預約,果然好好食,啲皮入口即溶,好正。之後,叫咗避風塘銀鱈魚、蟹肉粉絲煲、燒賣同埋小籠包。避風塘銀鱈魚超好食,魚外脆內嫩,又唔容易散,好正。小籠包抵食,好多湯汁,好正。但係蟹肉粉絲煲同埋燒賣就比較一般,可以不叫。整體好食,但價格偏貴。

We had an absolutely delightful Monday lunch at Mott 32! As one of the most renowned Chinese restaurant brands in the world, Mott 32 is consistently recognized for its exceptional interior design, signature cocktails, and cuisine. It's a true gem in the culinary scene.

One aspect that sets Mott 32 apart is their dedication to sustainability. We were pleased to learn that they are one of the pioneers in offering plant-based alternatives in Chinese fine dining. It's refreshing to see a restaurant that not only excels in taste but also places importance on ethical dining choices.

Now, let's get to the highlight of our experience—the food! We indulged in a variety of delectable dishes, including the daily double boiled soup, which was a comforting and flavorsome start to our meal. The deep-fried black cod with golden garlic and chili (避風塘銀雪魚) was a true standout, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a delightful balance of garlic and chili flavors.

The crispy free-range chicken laced with Maotai (香脆茅台雞) was a culinary masterpiece. The chicken had a satisfying crunch, and the infusion of Maotai added a unique and aromatic touch. It was a dish that delighted our taste buds in every bite.

We also savored the wok-fried kale with dried shrimp, minced pork, and belacam sauce (馬拉盞蝦乾黑豚肉碎芥蘭煲). The combination of flavors and textures was superb, with the dried shrimp and minced pork complementing the freshness of the kale. It was a perfect balance of savory and umami.

Throughout our meal, the servers demonstrated attentiveness and a strong work ethic. Donna, in particular, stood out with her exceptional service. She went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. It's heartening to see a young server like Donna who possesses such professionalism and dedication. She truly changed our perception of the younger generation of servers and exemplified the importance of proper training.

Having Donna attend to our table was an absolute pleasure. We left Mott 32 feeling not only satisfied with the incredible food but also impressed by the overall experience. Thank you to the entire team at Mott 32 for creating a dining experience that exceeded our expectations. We look forward to returning soon!

題外話/補充資料: Noisy basement place involving a down escalator and 6-7 more flights of steps to the restaurant. The music drowns so everyone shouts. Service is appalling. A dish was ordered and never appeared, when we chased up they apologised that they forgot to tell us they ran out. One has to chase up at least twice for items asked like wet towels or toothpicks or extra bowls. They delivered a wrong dish not ordered, then of course we had to wait for the one that we ordered but they omitted to put to the kitchen. For the prices that they are charging, the service should be seamless instead of forgetful and sloppy staff. The food was great and faultless when the correct dishes arrived. For the infirm there is no lift, we were with healthy fit elderlys. After dinner the only lift up is the delivery lift at the back of the exit towards the toilets. They merely pointed up the lift. On exit we were somewhere with no signs on how to reach the street! We were at the back of the building left to our own, no sign whatsoever. Luckily there was a young man who said we could try to enter another restaurant from the back and exit that way using their front door. So we found ourselves going through the toilet exits, the restaurant and bar of ODDS to get to the street. One simply could not point to some service lift at the back, knowing full well there is no signage and there are elderly customers who just paid an extortionate amount for dinner. Where’s the respect? Customer services? Took your money so you can p-off on your own. Seriously?!? Go to the 4Seasons, quieter, just as perfect the food, but you are treated with respect and decency. Class act vs Callousness.

环境暗黑,自动扶梯下到底层,还要从布满铁枝和铁链条的窄楼梯,旋转下去,一下可能有6米之高,如下地牢。服务员态度虽好,但都穿黑衣黑裤,大柱上的字画,好像狱中涂鸦。叉烧不错,菜和炒饭也不错,小笼包皮薄,但内馅味道一般。总之是价钱贵,份量少。以后大概不会再来这个地方。

客語的土豬肉燉湯(¥19),都比這碗高級,
人家完全把肉汁燉出精粹來,
嚐到那用時間燉熬出來的味道,
土豬肉燉湯即使$1000一盅,我也願意品嚐,而非這碗只有貴價而不實的湯!!

整晚原本對菜式的評價還好,
黑毛豬叉燒真的會想encore,
直到這碗燉湯,
真的「驚」艷了我,整個感覺瞬間變低級🥲
