As the Korean BBQ place was pretty bad, we decided not to order dessert there even though they had shaved ice on the menu. My brother and I decided to buy dessert to take home instead. We were looking around on Lockhart Road, and I said I wanted to try the cheese tart from Hanjuku Kobo. The shop was brightly-lit and had a clean cut decor. The items were showcased in glass display cases where you can just point and order. I inquired about the price of the cheese tart, and it was $22 each ($2 m
The shop was brightly-lit and had a clean cut decor. The items were showcased in glass display cases where you can just point and order. I inquired about the price of the cheese tart, and it was $22 each ($2 more than the original creator a block away in the basement of a department store). I decided to order 2 cheese tarts, 1 for me and 1 for my mom. My brother ordered a couple puddings. We paid via octopus, which was pretty convenient. The two cheese tarts were packaged in a sturdy paper box. There's no minimum of 6 tarts in order to have a box like the other cheese tart shop. We got home pretty quickly that night, and the tarts were still warm when I took them out of the box. I put my tart on a plate and cut it in half. The inside didn't flow out like lava, which I thought it would.

The cheese tart from Hanjuku Kobo tasted better than the one I bought from the other cheese tart shop, but my evaluation maybe a little off as I didn't have the other tart right away the last time. Either way, both tarts were very delicious and the difference between the two competitors is minimal!
