Hi, I have to express my dissatisfaction over the inability to use my Octopus card when I had sufficient funds inside to pay. The restaurant could only accept Octopus /Alipay /Cash. I understand bringing in cash is important to visit a not so established restaurant in HK but tbh not even a credit /debit card machine ? My bill was $16x. I have not installed Alipay and the only alternative is PayMe. The restaurant did not accept this either. The entire experience left me absolutely no choice but to visit the nearby MTR station so I could take cash from an ATM 😅😅
There was also a time when I ordered food from this restaurant via Food Panda. A lot of people knew how easy it is to misclick and order an extra set because of the ‘+’ button. I contacted Food Panda and their CS requested me to contact the restaurant. Therefore I called 台灣郎 but the staff who picked up the phone call told them they did not know how to operate at all. I told them no that was Food Panda’s instruction. Could you not simply reject the order so I could make a new one ? I felt extremely shocked because there was no way for me to remedy this problem even I contacted both sides. Tbh they should brush up on their IT skills especially when food delivery service is prevalent, especially under the pandemic. The experience this time was I had to pay for an extra order. Devastating.
