斑蘭味好少,可能係榴槤味實在太強,被佢遮晒啦.而口感呢,有啲實,或者因為雪o左一晚而影響吧.

之後到椰蓉糍,男友話內裡係爆汁o既,所以我o地唔可以咬開一半o黎睇,我都食先.係,係爆汁,不過其實唔多,但唔知係咩o野味.

糯米加央,一邊綠色一邊米色,綠色o個邊係加央糕,米色o個邊係糯米,糯米煙韌味道亦好濃,而加央o個邊係冇糯米o既,而且口感唔同,加央味o岩o岩好.

到粉紅色o既龜粿綠豆沙,

糕點口感一樣有啲實,綠豆沙乾o左啲,好似遜色啲.

之後係提子椰汁加央,男友又食先,佢一咬落去就大叫juicy,點解juicy呢?原來係面有上有啲黃色o既汁,口感鬆啲,而味道,好似食唔到椰汁味.

而斑蘭芝麻糕我o地都冇食到,就咁成件畀爸爸食.

最後係粘米九層糕,呢個好濃椰香,都食到啲米味o既.

不常吃印尼菜,不過每次去印尼餐館,除了點巴東牛肉和黃薑飯外,也會揀一些特色印尼小食。其實印尼的小食大多以椰汁為主,如早前於加連威老道「印尼餐廳」買來吃過的紫心蕃薯糕、斑蘭拉椰糕、椰汁黑糯米糕,都是用椰奶或椰漿來處理過,吃起來椰味十足。早前和食友  SSG 一起到銅鑼灣吃私房菜,甜姐兒就為我們每人送上一件斑蘭黑糯米蛋糕。斑蘭蛋糕、椰汁黑糯米糕、兩樣都試過,但把兩者互相配合,筆者還是首次品嚐。講真,其實件蛋糕的斑蘭味一點也不算濃,反而黑糯米部份,做得非常唔錯,入口既有蛋糕的柔軟質感,但又帶黑糯米的香甜軟糯;吃一口黑糯米再配一口斑蘭,以煙韌  crossover 清香,味道出奇地夾,果真討人喜愛,以後口痕時又多一款滋味小吃可以考慮了。在此要謝謝食友的一番美意。

I thought the bun would be filled inside but it was solid and it comes with a tub of coconut sauce.
I tried it without the sauce and you can taste the pandan but the bun is not sweet.

It was slightly savoury but after you dip it in the coconut sauce it tastes nicer and the more sauce you dip, the sweeter it is.

首次品嚐印尼咖啡,本來想要凍的,但侍應姐姐說熱的更好飲更地道,在她誠意推介下於是一試熱的印尼咖啡!一端來,見它是一杯黑黑的咖啡,像齋啡!放了兩包糖,攪拌一下,時侍應姐姐卻叫住我,說不要即刻飲,要讓它沉澱一會;因為她沒有一併給我端來淡奶,當我狐疑著究竟印尼咖啡是否不用加奶時,下意識地呷了一口,味道果然特別,而且有很多的沉澱;雖然沒加奶,但咖啡味仍然細滑而不澀口,挺有趣!

去了銅鑼灣看《桃姐》開場前搵嘢食,戲院後面的這家印尼餐廳有好多小食賣啊。 Kuer JongKong 是斑蘭芝麻糕 ($6.5),綠色的斑蘭和黑色的芝麻糕層層相隔,但味道其實跟一般椰汁斑蘭糕沒有分別。Otak-Otak 燒魚蛋 ($7.4) 用蕉葉包著,本應有辣醬伴吃的,但怕吃到一手都是就沒有要了。魚蛋是硬硬的,質感比較粗糙,味精不少。其實我最想吃的,是充滿青少年時代回憶的印尼糯米雞,但怕看戲後沒胃口吃飯就只好忍痛放棄了。

Great Indonesian food. Mainly from Sumatera...I have been looking for authentic and enjoyable Indonesian for awhile, and was so pleasantly surprised by Padang. I lived in Java for 12 months and this was restaurant served a mixture of 'warung' and resto food. I very much enjoyed the ikan bakar and the tofu dishes. Highly reccomended.

Thankfully there was no need to travel to Indonesia to try Apokat milkshake, a beverage made of Avocado, some are made with syrup and some are made with chocolate sauce.The Apokat milkshake here was nice and creamy, there was no avocado taste, but after swallowing the full impact of avocado arrives.The drink itself was smooth and thick, and there was chocolate syrup decorated on the side of the cup.As well as the drink, I tried the Pandan Katam Hitam, it is a two coloured cake made from glutinou

Mangkok Pandan tape ketam was slightly dense, but the texture was like a cake. The top was covered with pandan paste and had a piece of young coconut in the middle.
The taste was similar to Pandan Katam Hitam, but slightly stronger and sweeter.

The menu was extensive; we perused it for a good 5 mins and couldn’t decide what we wanted until we saw the set lunch! A bit of everything, like nasi campur, plus soup and dessert!They also had different types of drinks, ranging from es cendol, es campur, es koproy to juice apokat (avocado) and many more. The menu was extensive; we perused it for a good 5 mins and couldn’t decide what we wanted until we saw the set lunch! A bit of everything, like nasi campur, plus soup and dessert!

They also had different types of drinks, ranging from es cendol, es campur, es koproy to juice apokat (avocado) and many more. I couldn’t go pass the es cendol with durian! It had me at ‘durian’. The drink came, and although it looked more like a chocolate sundae with durian, it was absolutely delicious. The cream on top was a bit weird, so that had to be removed. However, it consisted of cendol, red bean, jack fruit, and lots and lots of durian! I was definitely in durian heaven…. It was a little sweet but absolutely delicious!

We were both given a tray of food – at first I thought we were to share it, but no… two trays of delicious goodness arrived. My eyes lit up, chicken satay, gado-gado, and sop (vegetables soup with chicken). The chicken satay was good, the chicken was tender and the peanut sauce authentic. The gado-gado, albeit small serving, was satisfying! The sop was ok, I still prefer mum’s authentic sop but it was still not bad.

Then came another tray of food… Oh my god… beef rendang, chicken kurry, perkedel (Indonesian croquette), telor belado (Balinese egg) and mix of peanuts and dried fish. The beef rendang was delicious, beef tender and succulent, and the sauce, although a little oily was full of flavour. The chicken curry was also tasty. The perkedel I thought was a little weird, but nothing beats Mum’s perdekel though, still the best I have eaten. The Balinese egg was fantastic, it’s a simple dish but it’s all about the chili – it was spicy and flavousome.

I was deliciously stuffed! Then came…. Desserts… wow! We didn’t even eat the dessert, we both took one home. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to eat this, as Hubby ate it that night. His comments ‘good, coconut like, not sweet enough’. He finished it before I even said ‘can I try some?’ *sigh*

是晚是家裡印傭last day, 要同佢farewell啦~佢竟然選擇巴東?! 都ok, 因為我們一次都沒有嘗過, 因為都不是嗜辣一族. 無問題! 即管試試吧~ (所以吃之前, 忘記上OR check下有咩好食!)最後, 點了:1) 巴東牛肉: 原來巴東是這樣製的, 牛肉很腍, 亦很入味,辣度ok (我不吃辣的!)2) 小食拼盤: 有4~5款小食, 有炸魚餅, 栗米餅, 荷葉包雞和春卷. 只吃了炸魚餅, 栗米餅..., 栗米餅很不錯, 可惜油份多了少少.. 英中不中呢, 炸魚餅只屬「行貨」, 沒有驚喜.3) 巴東燒雞: 又是巴東系列的菜式, 只是換了口感, 分別不大!4) 印尼炒飯: 挺濕身的炒飯之作, 屬ok水準. 如不是店長殷勤推介, 還是算了吧...5) satay串燒: 本身都是串燒迷, 在這裡, 可以感受到自己真的置身於東南亞的國家! My search for authentic Indonesian handmade noodles is over. I have found it.Padang restaurant serves the best Indonesian handmade noodles for their mie ayam and mie goreng Jakarta. Wonderfully chewy and springy, not the usual limp and soggy instant fare. I ordered mie goreng Jakarta (Jakarta fried noodles) during my last visit, and it never fails to satisfy me and my Indonesian friends. It may look humble, but it is absolutely flavorful. My search for authentic Indonesian handmade noodles is over. I have found it.

Padang restaurant serves the best Indonesian handmade noodles for their mie ayam and mie goreng Jakarta. Wonderfully chewy and springy, not the usual limp and soggy instant fare.

I ordered mie goreng Jakarta (Jakarta fried noodles) during my last visit, and it never fails to satisfy me and my Indonesian friends. It may look humble, but it is absolutely flavorful. Delicious!

The ayam panggang kecap (grilled chicken with sweet soy sauce) was delicious too. Tender juicy chicken with tasty sauce.

Unfortunately, the corn fritters (perkedel jagung) were disappointing. Limp and greasy, they looked as if they had been refried many many times and left cold before serving. We weren't impressed.

The soto babat (beef tripe soup) lacked of flavors. Had it been served with some condiments (chilli, kecap manis and a squeeze of lime/lemon), it would have been so much better.

The es teler (young coconut, jackfruit, & avocado with shaved ice and coconut milk) is a tamed version of the Indonesian one. Not as sweet, which is great for Hong Kong.

I will always go back for their handmade noodles.

同老公到翡翠明珠廣場覓食,好多間食肆都拍烏蠅,依間最多人,心諗唔會差得去邊...一坐底就有碟酸瓜同魚仔花生,係咪都收左你$10(埋單先知)...叫左4樣野:小食拼盤(春卷,蝦餅,粟米餅,香葉包雞各兩件)$108 -春卷不是現炸的,蝦餅OK,粟米餅是厚粉漿,雞非常大件印尼特色炒飯 $82-蝦片林了兼有油益味,沙爹OK,炒飯偏甜但算乾身涼粉冰 $28-只是糖水+涼粉+大舊碎冰芒果布甸 $24-非常甜其他:冷氣很弱,招呼OK,略嫌HARD SELL,不斷叫你加野埋單$277,老實講,幾貴,不過因為小食拼盤同炒飯件頭大,又肥膩,幾多味精(偏甜),三個人食都應該ok,我地好辛苦先食得晒,返到屋企都各踩左半個鐘頭單車消脂...都幾多客,係咪呢D先至係正宗印尼野,只係我地食唔慣?
