Sure, the tables are close together. Sometimes it's hard to hold a private conversation. But this is Hong Kong! Quarters are bound to be close. Upper and lower bunks if you want to put it that way! And hey, at least the place is clean, and the people there are friendly!
You can expect excellent service from the restaurant. They are very knowledgeable of what each dish is like, as well as make intelligent suggestions to enhance your dining experience.
My wife and I come here often, and this is what we like:
Soup: Differs from day to day, but we enjoy it most of the time.
Parma ham salad: One of our must orders!
Grain-fed beef steak with duck's liver: Rare. The portion is small, but when the meat melts and blankets the taste buds with flavor, I get soft and overlook it.
1855 steak: Medium well done. My wife's regular choice. I do have to finish half of hers because she never could finish a serving. I do feel that the steak could fare better if it were cooked rare, or medium rare.
Hot ground coffee: Summer or winter, I never order hot drinks. Until now.
Value versus quality, I say you'd get the upper hand. Also, they don't charge you the 10 if you pay in cash! Probably a good idea to leave some green on the table before leaving. ;)
Occasionally, they even have lobsters on the menu. Haven't tried those yet, but pretty soon, I'll have to treat my taste buds to another feast. Maybe I'll order lobsters...
