A great item has been added to Starbucks. Pudding cups. Just like Japan and Korea before, Hong Kong now has pudding cups for sale. Price? $26 each. They come in two flavors: caramel vanilla and chocolate.I bought both of them home with me to try.The first one I tried was the caramel vanilla. It was packaged in a white plastic container.The inside was a creamy yellow color with specks of vanilla seen throughout.On the bottom was a layer of caramel coffee type sauce. This was really good. Creamy and smooth. A strong vanilla taste with the fantastic sauce on the bottom.The other one is chocolate. This was packaged in a black plastic container.Inside was just chocolate pudding. It had a strong chocolate taste but oddly had a spongy texture. I expected it to be more smooth but it was not. It oddly tasted like the chocolate pudding cups from Maxim's.I'd definitely get this again but just choose the vanilla version. The chocolate, though tasted pretty good, wasn't smooth at all so not worth a repeat purchase. But vanilla is a definite repeat buy.

I've been trying to stay away from Starbucks since I'm always tempted to get the sweet calorie-laden drinks! However, with their newest summer release and the free upgrade offer, I couldn't resist trying the Acai Mixed Berry Yogurt Frappuccino! Acai and yogurt is healthy, right? *wink wink*The Acai Mixed Berry Yogurt Frappuccino was better than I expected! There were these pearl beads that exploded with fruity juices in my mouth, which was kind of fun! And, you could definitely taste the yogurt element of the drink! The drink is a little heavy with the creamy yogurt, but I can see myself having this refreshing drink as a substitute for dessert this summer!I was a little skeptical of this frappuccino because I love the pink drink from Starbucks in the US, but now, I can definitely see this frappuccino becoming the Asian version of the purple drink!

Tried the new food item:Frankfurter sausage, egg, apricot jam cheese croissant sandwich; and new drinks: Tea matcha espresso fusionthe croissant sandwich was filling with egg and sausage; cheese and egg was always good match. After reheat, favor not lost, good quality for fast food. I also ask for less sugar. Then the tea and matcha could be matched. Yet the drinks in Starbucks is overprice to me.

這天恰巧來到附近,路過這裡,看到一張宣傳牌子,把我吸引著,不由自主地走入店裡來到收銀機前,用上10秒的時間, 掃瞄了放在收銀機旁的小小廣告牌上列明黑色和白色的材料分別,再用上1秒的時間,決定要白色的那份……Vanila●Affogato ……多謝48個大洋。看著店員逐個程序把它製作出來,先把雲呢拿味的冰淇淋放在玻璃杯內,接著加入杏仁薄片及焦糖脆脆,淋上工整有序的焦糖醬,再放在一個精緻的小木盆子上,再拿來一小杯香濃的Expresso,一份Vanila●Affagato正式出品 我把熱呼呼的Expresso倒入雲呢拿冰淇淋上,冰和火交融後,幼滑的冰淇淋外暖內凍,有著香草清甜香味,口感特別,混和脆香杏仁片及香甜煙靱的焦糖脆片一併吃,舌頭感受到既軟滑又有嚼口的豐富感覺,實在難以形容。只是在經歷過冰火交融的過程後,必須趕快把溶化中的冰淇淋吃掉,剩下的便是混進了冰淇淋的Expresso咖啡Affogato其實是意大利語「淹沒」的意思,當地人創造出來時就把它當成為一份甜點,就是簡單的把意大利濃縮咖啡(Expresso)覆蓋在冰淇淋上,為了增加甜味和促進口感。近年來則變成為很多咖啡店的甜品呢就連這裡原以只提供咖啡為主的熱門咖啡店,亦順應著潮流作出新嘗試。
