一行6人生日午餐在側魚鯒的Grappa's ; 原本一心想食忌廉蝦墨汁闊麵,但發覺燒lamb ribs也一流,又成為我在grappa's必食之選。題外話, 是日可能人流少, 侍應們也特別細心, 由於同行有6歲及2歲幼童,一入座時隨即換上膠餐具, 亦會細心介紹食品, 會提醒我們那些食品有酒精, 小朋友可能不適而進食, 我覺得服務比金鐘的Grappa's 還要貼心.

Table booked a few days in advance and was called that morning to re-confirm.Table for 8. Staff immediately friendly and helpful as numbers were probably going to fluctuate on the original booking.Drinks were fast.House bread was delicious - tasted really fresh and was really nice and light - really good. House bread was delicious - tasted really fresh and was really nice and light - really good. We had several.

Pizza came to feed Junior - and it was cooked really well. Romangola (sp?) and the base was nice and thin and crispy. All good. Devoured very quickly.

Pastas came - one vongole and one tomato sauce of a type. All cooked well and all very flavoursome. Pasta was cooked slightly al dente and not overdone like so many other places selling pasta.

Mussels? Fantastic. Really nice cream sauce and all cooked to perfection. No complaints there at all - probably the first ones like that we have come across in HK and will certainly be going back just for them. Highly recommended by my wife.

Carry in birthday cake was cut up by the staff which was a nice touch.

All in all - a great dining experience, good venue, good staff and good food. A good place for a birthday dinner especially for a group.

Will be going again, sooner rather than later.

先來談談店家跟來的酒,店家只容許我們點最便宜三十二元一杯那些酒,就連我說願意補差價也不成,幸而當中也有六七款選擇,最後我們選了白的就是意大利Caldora的Trebbiano D'Abruzzo DOC,店員一早說了是會比較Dry,也不要緊,因為知道青口個汁用忌廉,這個酒先不要說其味,店家送上時,真的是頗為冰涼,看來此店對於酒這一科也真的頗為認真,說回杯酒好了,嗅起來有種如木塞的味道,喝入口有很清新的酸味,也有幽幽的葡萄香,加上一陣礦物味,乾身但也很順喉。

紅酒又是選了跟白酒同一區的出品,是意大利Caldora的Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC,用上了Montepulciano,嗅起來有種近乎火水的煙燻味,似乎酒精濃度頗高,搖多一會又有種近乎Caramel and Honey的Smell,喝入口就反之有幾濃厚的果香,甜度同時又很高,令人有錯覺以爲在喝Sherry,不過此酒的弊端是很易散,真的不能留在空氣太久,越喝就是越酸。

之後就是談食物了,店家知道我們是分吃的,所以替我們先上Mussel Pot,待我們吃畢Mussels,才奉上另一個主食牛仔肉,服務方面值得一讚。

在談那個Mussel Pot之前,店家為我們奉上一客麵包,長方形的板狀的麵包,由一部如夾餅機的東西烘熱,烘得外層非常之香脆,吃入口就更是不得了,包身是何其的鬆軟,也有充份的麥香,無論是塗Cream Cheese吃,或是蘸點黑醋橄欖油吃,也是非常美味,所以我們最後要Encore多一客。

如上所述,先來的是Marinière Mussel Pot,店員用上毛巾包着一個Pot,放下之下揭開蓋,並告誡我們千萬不要碰到那個煲,因為真的是很熱云云,用上匙羹舀了點Mussel及湯汁出來一起吃,白色的湯汁,多得如個湯,而Mussel也是多得足足有廿至三十隻,想不到團購也有如此份量,真是教人高興。
用上蒜、忌廉、洋蔥粒及白酒煮成的湯汁,真好喝!

不過真的是吃了入口就更高興,用上蒜、忌廉、洋蔥粒及白酒煮成的湯汁,與Mussel來個同撈同煲,Mussel的鮮味進入了在湯之中,湯的忌廉汁掛上了Mussel肉,兩者相輔相成,前者入口香甜幼滑,有點酒香而酒味不重,另更有陣海鮮的海水香,味道相當不錯又不會太膩,伴點甘筍絲、西芹絲及洋蔥絲同喝,真的有如在喝湯。

而後者主角的青口肉質非常幼嫩,入口真的是一點渣也沒有,吃起來更散出分鹹鮮味,再喝一口白酒,那些礦物味近乎是爆出來,令人大呼過癮。

另一個主菜牛仔肉都有兩大片,不過每片都是切得非常之薄,可能真的是太薄的關係,肉真的是一煎就熟透了吧,稍嫌肉質入口略嚡,不過也許又是因為它太薄的關係,肉質的纖維都被切斷了,所以吃起來不會太韌,加上牛仔肉都有不錯的肉香,加上濃郁的蘑菇汁,吃起來也甚是滋味。

配菜也是做得絕不馬虎,尤其是那烘薯,薯皮外層乾身微脆,裡面的薯肉熟得變成如一堆薯蓉,非常幼滑而具薯仔香,另外的燒雅枝竹、青瓜、紅椒及茄士也是既軟腍又具備其原有的味道,雅枝竹酸酸的而青瓜及紅椒都有點菜青的味道,其實真的叫人意外。

補回加一的價錢只不過是二百一十八元,還要送買一送一的周末Brunch優惠劵,真的叫人快慰,而荷包又叫爽的一餐晚飯。

可能太嫰滑, 某啲位好難切, 把刀成日撞到隻碟搞到發出好大聲, 真失禮...

伴碟有舊不知名的東東, 問侍應, 原來係由corn 整出來的, 食落非常冇乜特別, 冇乜味, 質感似蕃薯蓉溝飯的混合體

另外, 我地叫左個炸魷魚圈, 呢個係全餐最好味的. 魷魚新鮮, 炸粉不厚, 熱辣辣上碟, 唧少少lemon juice, 加埋 tar tar 醬 (?), 真係味蕾一大享受~~

整體來講, 環境係好, 開揚, 食物擺位靚. 不過lunch set 價錢太貴, 我唔會再來lunch , 一定有alternatives 可揀. 反而晚餐會願意試下, 睇下面食評, 晚餐好似都唔算太貴喎, 唔知係咪呢.

Steamed Mussels: this was served with a warm Ciabatta bread. Was quite a big pot, 1/2 kilo. the sauce was creamy white and very creamy. Comapred to Frites and belgo's, this sauce was much richer and creamier. the Ciabatta was toasted so the outside was crispy but the inside was so soft and warm. I loved eating it on its own with teh butter and olive oil. But using it to dip into the white wine sauce was so good, soaking up all the taste of the mussels. But because the sauce is so creamy, the bread soaking up the sauce made teh bread very creamy. The bread was definately not enough.

the mussels was big and fresh. Only one or two of them was not fresh. but overall they absorbed the sauce and was delicious. i finished 1/2kg by myself with the bread. although the portion of the bread was small but because the bread wasn't dense, it was soft and tender, it did not fill you

The sauce was so delicious that i actually drank it like a soup, but after a while you realize it is quite salty. so DO NOT try to drink it all.. although you might want to, such a dumb thing to do, but when a dish is good, you would want to finish every single bit to it. There was a lot of vegetables on the bottom of the mussels. Like carrots, onions and celery. there were so mucha nd was quite enjoyable to eat some vegetables when eating so much mussels. there were so much i could not finish all the vegetables underneath. Althought they were too soft after being in the sauce for so long,, but i loved it as it soaked up all the sauce.

Veal Scallopini Marsala- This was veal cooked in the marsala wine sauce. the sauce was thick and dark. so thick after it was cooled down, it was like a gel. But it was rather salty especially the veal was not a thick slice but a thin slice. Just slightly thinner than a piece of gammon ham. the texture of the veal was not too nice as it was too thin. if it was a bit thick the texture would be bit better and the sauce would not be too salty. The wild mushrooms was within the sauce and tasted real good, nicely seasoned but again it was bit salty because of the sauce.

There were fair amount of mushrooms all in the sauce. There were Grilled vegetables on teh side and I was really surprised on the amount of vegetables they gave you. there were a piece of zucchini, pepper, Onion, cherry tomato and they all came in a big piece. How generous.
There were finger licking potatoes whichw asnt too tasty as it could be. But sides do not need to be more delicious than the main. The potatoes were not seasoned well, and wasnt baked till crispy which was sucha a waste.
Although i did say the sauce was bit salty, it was enjoyable as it is different from the normal gravy sauce they give you. the sauce was made with marsala wine which tasted bit like oyster sauce but sweeter.

Service: The service was splendid. when we first walked in the restaurant, we were greeted and took to our table. there were only two of us, even though the restaurant was not full, the lady gave us the table for four. Sow e sat comfortably and spaciously. Other restaurants would have gave us a seat for 2 people, even though there are loadsa of bigger tables. i love how considerate they are.
as we were having the coupon, there were only 4 main course we could choose. the lady kindly told us which ones they werea nd also told us which wines was free too. They filled our blue glass withw ater and then the bread with butter and olive oil. I thought this was the welcome complimentary bread, so we started eating it. after my mussels came without bread, we asked, and realized the bread that came ALOT earlier was the bread with the mussels. Why would you serve the bread like 5 mins earlier before the mussels? surely would make people think that is the complimentary bread. Anyway, the lady kindly asked if we would liek mroe bread. We nodded. Then another waiter asked us if we wanted more bread, we said yes please, and he was so kind and said,w e can order more bread ANYTIME nad how many times we want. They were so kind.

Conclusion: i love this place. it was better than I have intended it to be for definatately.

As I was using coupon, I expected the portion to be smaller and the food to be worst. But instead I actually think they gave the same quality of teh food. The Veal had lots of sides, so much sides it actually fills you up. The mussels was teh best i have had before. it was creamy and rich, with big fresh mussels.

i liked the atmosphere, had a couples tables but wasnt too crowdy. the restaurant was big, with more seatings on the other side. So spacious, it doesnt intrude your privacy and the waitress is not always standing beside yous taring at you. People who dined there were all work people from nearby etc.

Although we used coupons, the service was great, could have been better with more smiles, but they were good enough. at a place like this and great food, they did not give attitude but tried to fulfil our requestment. normally they would think we are only using coupons, and will slack on teh service. but they did not at all. evenw hen we asked for the bill, he kindly said we only need to pay the 20 hkd for teh service charged. excellent. this is what superb service should be, there were flaws, but with great food and great atmosphere, it is worth it. Even without coupon teh dishes are affordable, from 100 hkd to 200hks for a main course. I think this place desrves more positive review and more hits to let people know what they are missing out.

We even got 2 breakfast vouchers for next time- buy 1 get 1 free!!!!! Andw hat was so funny is, i looked at teh expire date. It was 6th of June, which was YESTERDAY!!!! It was quite funny, but they fixed the error and apologized

I heard their pasta and pizza are GREAT, I will come back next time for such a great meal.

個白汁keep到belgos o既水準..好香garlic同white wine味..飲落好creamy同好滑
個汁濃郁到好似湯甘..連埋肥大o既mussel..
真係好鮮好甜!!不過白汁o既配料比起belgos少左..上菜時個pot得好少onion同shallot..另外跟mussel上o既chips都好好食~!岩岩炸起..好脆好香..又唔係好油~!!

Wanna to have linguine, wanna to go to Admiralty Grappa's, suddenly think I haven't been to grappas in Quarry Bay, so i want to give it a try. The bread is good but only have 2 choices, rosemary bread and french toast, Rosemary bread is my favorite. But it they also serve cheese stick, then should be even better. Talking about food, as usual, I ordered seafood linguine and Pizza Salsiccia. The tomato sauce was not strong in tomato taste, and quite salty, the texture of linguine is ok. The seafood look nice but they actually not fresh. Shrimp is frozen shrimp with strong frozen taste. This may probably occurred from inadequate defrost time. In additional, they shrimp are too crispy that they apparently put too much vinegar to marinate that. Fish are not fresh with strong fishy smell. The dish is not quality in my perspective.

For the pizza, it is normal taste, a bit salty as usual.

I ordered my favorite beer that night, Chimay Blue, they only offer 750ml one. I have taken it. Very nice! A taste with a bit blueberry flavor..i love it!

4月17日(星期六)晚,女友學完琴後就和我一起趕來餐廳,到達時比約好了的時間早了十多分鐘,於是我們就先行入內坐下,亦好讓我做些心理準備。豈料到了約定的時間還未見女友的家人來,我的心情便開始緊張起來,再過了接近二十分鐘仍未見到她們,女友就致電給她們。原來世伯和伯母以為餐廳在太古地鐵站附近便去了該區,而女友的大姐姐雖然知道餐廳在鰂魚涌但記錯了餐廳的位置。都是怪我自己不好,做事未夠細心,沒有肯定世伯、伯母和大姐姐識路來餐廳或約好帶她們來,令我內疚不已。及後女友不斷用電話聯絡家人,雖然女經理見到焦急萬分的我多番到餐廳門口守候她們,知道她很想幫忙,可惜面對如此情況,我也不知如何是好。心急如焚地盼望了約十分鐘,終於見到世伯、伯母和大姐姐慢慢地行過來,我連忙走出餐廳迎接她們,一邊賠個不是,一邊引領她們到餐廳內坐下。慶幸世伯和伯母沒有面露不悅,心情還算不錯,為免講多錯多,還是將話題轉到點菜上。我們坐下不久,waitress已送上餐前麵包,不熱,幸好內裡還算軟熟。之後,我、女友和大姐姐三人負責在選擇頗多卻祇得意大利文和英文的餐牌上篩選出數款想吃的食物,然後由世伯和伯母作最終決定,點了以下幾款食物:

SALMONE SCOZZESE AFFUMICATO:原來 是三文魚沙律,煙三文魚很鮮味,不太鹹,肉質還很軟滑,沙律亦很新鮮爽脆,油醋汁酸中帶些微甜味,很醒胃;

PIZZA alla ROMAGNOLA: 這個Pizza是大姐姐見到是見到有「★」就提議點的,果然沒介紹錯!整個Pizza很足料,鋪滿新鮮蕃茄片、洋蔥、蘑菇、乾oregano香草和水牛芝士(mozzarella cheese),味道清新,而且焗得恰到好處,餅底邊位夠香脆而中心部分很軟熟,就算後來Pizza涼了也蠻好吃,不過waitress卻沒有給予我們餐具去把Pizza分開,要扣些微服務分;

ARROSTO di AGNELLO al ROSMARINO: 即是烤羊架,外表焗得有點乾,但內裡剛好是我們要求的medium well,肉質還算嫩滑,亦有淡淡的羊肉味,可惜還是那一句,仍是欠缺些羶味;其實我吃羊架有一個小習慣,就是喜歡把羊架的肉吃得七七八八之後,用手拿起骨來“損”,原來伯母也喜歡這樣吃;


LINGUINE TUTTO MARE: 沒想過我們差不多把食物差不多吃完,這個PASTA才上檯,差點以為漏單;這個PASTA應該是蕃茄海鮮意粉,海鮮以大蝦為主角配以帶子和魷魚粒等,份量不少且應該不是雪藏貨;蕃茄汁清甜味濃,應該是用新鮮蕃茄煮成的;意粉入口還算軟硬適中,不過還未稱得上Al Dente;

吃完主食,終於來到這個重要時刻。對於女友來說,是甜魔時間,但對於我來說,是和女友商量好向世伯和伯母提親的時刻,但見世伯、伯母和大姐姐正在談得高興,不敢貿然打擾,惟有再找尋適當時候。其實甜品早已想好點TIRAMISU,另外再加一客SEMIFREDDO al CIOCCOLATO e NOCCIOLE。

SEMIFREDDO al CIOCCOLATO e NOCCIOLE: Semifreddo是意大利新興甜點,以Gelato為基調再加忌廉拌勻而成,這個朱古力榛子質感近似奶昔以及慕絲,味道不太濃,口感較Gelato軟滑厚實,有點像吃剛從雪櫃拿出來的雪糕;

TIRAMISU: 外表不太突出,入口卻非常香綿幼滑,味道上很平衡,咖啡和芝士的味道很平均,還帶有淡淡的酒味,而且沒有苦味,整個TIRAMISU餅身亦不會太濕,雖然沒有我最喜愛的脆餅底,但仍是一個有水準的TIRAMISU!

吃完甜品,心情更感到異常緊張,因為晚飯時間就快完結了,再不說更待何時。惟有硬著頭皮,檯底下和女友十指緊扣,再鼓起莫大勇氣,然後問世伯、伯母:「我們想結婚,請問世伯、伯母贊成我們的婚事嗎?」。

結果是……世伯沒有反對,伯母亦點頭說贊成,終於令我可以鬆一口氣了!之後我們笑說往後的事,直到餐廳打烊,然後慢慢散步回家。

\\Honestly, for the price of HKD160 or up.. without dessert (need an extra HKD20)..really doesn't worth it.. Since there is not many choices for upright food in Taiko... Grappa's has its business... especially so-called 'Business lunch".. THe bread was served cold... food delievery is extremely slow.... food quality --- quite poor .. it is not value for money at all..Set lunch : approximately choice of five... no steak at all.. only salad , fish, pasta.... something that doesn't value for $$...

Set lunch : approximately choice of five... no steak at all.. only salad , fish, pasta.... something that doesn't value for $$... no choice but to choose one..
first come either smaller portion salad (no surprised) or soup (so dliuted)... then very very slower it comes the main course (fish fillet).. oh god !! it comes with the "chinese carrot" ... with a very messy mashed potatoes (not creamy & tasteful at all) ...
pay an extra $20 for a very tiny piece of Tiramisu.. (was presented in a very messy way, looks like a collapsed pisa tower)...

btw.. services was not good neither... especially the female staff .. (black mouth black face)

anyway.. no next time ^^ for this price.. with this quality--- I don't recommend this place..

上星期到金鐘的Grappa's吃不到Panna Cotta,非常失望,是次經過太古坊,立即拉友人來碰碰運氣!Ceasar Salad with Grilled Chicken - D雞麻麻哋,有點嚡,乾,及淡。羅馬生菜則很新鮮,醬汁也很對口味。Spaghetti Carbonara - 好味,不過還是金鐘GRAPPA'S的較好。Panna Cotta - 不錯,不過實在太漏啦~Tiramisu - my all time favourite 其實食物是笑臉的,服務也不錯,可惜最後發生了少少的插曲。話說上甜品的時候,一名侍應非常豫疑地放下叉子及餐匙。最後我都冇用過隻匙羹,但那名侍應竟然... 放返去個餐具盤俾第二檯用!!!

太古城嘅食肆都比我地掃得七七八八,上網搜索吓太古坊會唔會有地方可去,結果搵到原來附近都有Grappa's, PP嗰間嘅姐妹店,叫Grappa's Millennio。只係星期六夜晚七點幾,隔離左右雖然有擺枱櫈出路中,但係都係得幾枱客,呢間亦唔例外,佢地嘅落地玻璃,一望入去都係得幾枱客。如果以Grappa's嚟講,呢間嘅裝潢係最靚,入到去,即刻有位叔叔侍應嚟帶位,比咗一張四人卡位我兩,空間非常寬闊,近牆另有大量空間比你擺嘢,而且喺枱面唔係舖上一張枱布,而係喺長方型枱嘅中間 (短距離嘅中間位) 放上一塊幼身枱布,其實作用真的不大,只係裝飾而已。入正題,飲品方面,某啲酒類,好似紅、白酒喺八點前係有happy hours,一杯白酒正價要$50, 八點前只需$26,幾抵飲。1. 入正題,飲品方面,某啲酒類,好似紅、白酒喺八點前係有happy hours,一杯白酒正價要$50, 八點前只需$26,幾抵飲。

1. Chardonnay, Terre di Chieti I.G.T. Caldora - 例牌非常fruity。

2. Cappuccino - 我只係叫個Regular$32,如果加多$6仲有Large Size,再叫埋嘢食嘅話, 呢杯咖啡仲可以免費添飲 ; 不過話說回來,抵又點,食物最緊要係咩,咪係質素,佢嘅cream打得唔夠靚,攪幾攪就唔見哂,味道亦都唔夠濃,唔夠意大利嘅香濃feel。

3. Assorted Bread - 真係細得可憐,不過夠軟身,一舊white,一舊brown,橄欖油同黑醋就唔夠香。

4. BRUSCHETTA Toasted country bread with vine ripened tomatoes, garlic, basil, and olive oil - 麵包非常香脆,蕃茄多水鮮甜,加埋香草,甘香嘅橄欖油,味道就好好,但係美中不足係蕃茄切得太大粒,食起上嚟比較狼狽,如果切細粒啲應該口感會更好。

5. INSALATA di SPINACI Fresh spinach, crispy pancetta bacon, mushrooms, grated egg and pine nuts with Grappa's warm herb dressing - 餐牌中見有某些salad會有half-porton供應,雖然我地呢個冇 ; 菠菜葉新鮮軟身,同平時食開沙律爽脆嘅感覺好唔同,加埋細細香脆嘅煙肉碎,白菌,不過碎蛋就真係過碎,食完都唔覺佢存在,而且呢個所謂warm herb dressing,我就應覺唔到味道,可能係比較淡嘅關係,不過呢過沙律好處在你唔會發現有草青味,呢點值得一讚。

6. PIZZA MILLENNIO New age fusion of Pepperoni, green olives, potato slices and capers. An explosive treat - 真係有名你睇,用招牌名,menu入面仲要有粒星,果然係有返咁上下 ; 芝士味極濃,又軟又香,蕃茄醬唔太多,雖然冇咁意大利feel,但係我就比較喜歡這樣嘅調較,配料真係唔需要多,簡簡單單有Pepperoni、芝士、蕃茄醬,最特別係佢加有我平時唔食嘅橄欖,但係今次佢用嘅呢隻鹹鹹地又同其他配料幾夾,仲要Pizza好少見嘅薯仔片,有粉有軟身 ; 總括嚟講,簡單就是美。

Comments: 不過今晚食得太飽了,如果唔係,一定配埋佢地嘅signature dessert - Tiramisu,佢地仲喺個menu入面寫埋呢道甜品嘅解釋,真係幾得意架,下次有機會重遊舊地真係要試試先。

今天Happy Friday到Grappa食lunch。先來的餐包是凍的,差了一點點。餐湯是雜菜湯,用料足,味道唔錯。主菜選了安格斯肉眼扒,雖然牛扒質素味道唔錯,但因overcook關係(medium well變well done),肉質略鞋唔juicy。配菜有燒雜瓜及薯仔粒。燒雜瓜燒得太燶,而薯仔粒則mix咗牛油芝士的關係,很香很好食!

家住附近, 所以經常去食. 本人非常鐘意各款菜式 (記樣不記名系食的最高境界) 隨便點一款salad, 款款都正!! Dressing 少則無味, 多則喧賓奪主, 而它們的各款salad醬汁都落得恰到好處!Vinegar & Olive Oil的配搭也剛剛好,不酸不膩,令人胃口大開! 比起其他有名無實的餐廳算是難得! Spaghetti & Pizza亦試過很多款。三文魚鮮香而滑嫩;大蝦華麗而入味;墨魚意粉讓人百吃不膩; 就算是只落香草的最普通的意粉,都香味撲鼻,口感柔韌,cheese香而不膩!最最愛的是那裏的牛扒!!一定雙倍推薦!在第一次吃的時候竟然情不自禁讚揚那一定是我吃過的最完美的牛扒!!5成熟煎到剛好,刀切下去沒有血水,但相當滑嫩,配合少許醬汁入口,牛扒本身的肉香味發揮到淋漓盡致!! 甜品不嘗味道,先能斷定它一定是件藝術品。  服務一直以來都不錯!不知道是不是waitress看我熟口面,每次我行入間餐廳,他們對我以及家人,友人的態度都令我覺得十分親切!平日晚上餐廳不多顧客,因為位置不佔優勢吧。。。但要講品質我一定支持到底!我們聚會一定都選這裏。因為環境另我們覺得親切,自由,價
