晚上跟朋友晚餐於銅鑼灣晚飯後想繼續暢談,於是友人介紹了位於銅鑼灣世貿中心旁邊Tower 535 的26樓的海鮮房。由於時間已經差不多十一時,所以沒有booking 仍可以坐到戶外的觀景位置。點了捷克產的Draft Beer,好易入口,味道帶甜,配無敵維港景色,一流。

Sunday semi buffet brunch: (1) buffet with oysters, sashimi, ham, salads, etc - everything was okay but pretty low quality stuff I think; (2) fritto misto (assorted fried seafood) - this was decently fried and flavoured; (3) shrimp burger - absolutely disgusting...shrimp was wayyy too salty and the bun was cold...only good thing was the coleslaw with yuzu in the dressing. I have been to seafood room several times after dinner for drinks. I love the cocktails here. But it's actually my first time having food here. It's a Saturday lunch with two friends and we are all tartare and seafood lovers. We have ordered three different kinds of tartare including the most popular one Langoustine tartare. I personally am a super fun of tartare and avocado. So the langoustine tartare is just super good for me. All three tartare dishes are very tasty. The only problem I found out was that they used same source for all three dishes and they all used avocado as base, which means these three dishes tasted almost the same.

This salmon tatami looks so good and I assume it has a very complex flavor. But at the end it tastes good but not as complex or as tasty as I though. But still a good dish.

Forget the name of this dish. it's a whole Seabass cooked inside sea salt. This tastes soooo good, and I highly recommend this dish. It's very tender and juicy, and I didn't even use the source. I just ate it with fresh lemon juice

The overall dining experience here is very good. There was not too many people for Saturday lunch, which makes the environment very nice and quiet. Perfect place to have a long lunch and talk to friends. Will come back for sure.

Heard Los of buzz about this restaurant since it's opening. Finally made a reservation to try it out. Nicely decorated restaurant with a great city and harbor view. Friendly staff and comfortable service! Food is awesome from appetizer to dessert. Coffee is also nicely brewed! Lunch menu is a steal! Will have to come back to try them for dinner.

第1次來這裡食飯泊車很不方便,最近一系泊街(會抄牌的),一系泊去世貿,比較貴及沒有免費泊車而餐廳的裝潢不錯的唷樓底高高,我的友人們,就是到處在影相,而食物上碟賣相亦不差先看看生蠔,有頗多的選擇如不吃生蠔的朋友,亦可以選擇焗蠔,但友人就覺得焗蠔有點腥而前菜方面,還有水牛沙律,水牛芝士大大件,味道得好,下面配有新鮮的粒粒蕃茄,青瓜,脆片,味道新鮮 值得堆介然後當然有很多海鮮啦,蟹、蜆、魚,是很新鮮的,在這環境下吃,叫人很享受。然而大廚的烹調始乎偏向濃味所以有少少遮蓋了海鮮的鮮味如果喜歡海鮮味的朋友,可以提提大廚,不要下太多鹽因為海鮮本身夠靚,不用加太多調味,都一樣會好好味嘛也需要吃一點菜,這個算是炒雜菜半生熟的牛扒grill得唔錯,外脆內軟,肉味濃郁,入面又夠嫩份量是幾多的唷,要多點人起share還有Pasta, 白菌意粉,喜歡煮的時間啱啱好,意粉仍然有咬口給大家看看食物的拼圖食物賣相是不是很美呢?

People who rated this place 5 stars are either totally related to the place or they simply have not eaten well before. The view is great, I give you that. But the rest of the eating experience is just beyond bad.The Food: The seafood platter should be the focus of a place named "SEAFOOD ROOM", but after eating that, our conclusion can be sum up in 2 word - "MIDGET SEAFOOD". The Food: The seafood platter should be the focus of a place named "SEAFOOD ROOM", but after eating that, our conclusion can be sum up in 2 word - "MIDGET SEAFOOD". The oysters are paper thin, seems like they are undergrowth and was made to work out before they are served. The sea urchin was served with quail eggs, but the egg is actually bigger than the urchin... There is a generous serving of supermarket farm-grade Tuna and Salmon sashimi, (just why? Its a $2400 platter and you put waste some space putting simpleton food there which I can buy at super market for around $100). On to the main entree, the mussels are again midget size and how to do make the soup base bitter? The squid-ink pasta and the lobster burger are average, but the price tag is not. Then there is the Lobster/sea urchin fried rice; I will say this, it was the best dish in there, a little overkill with the truffle (not biggie there), but the price tag is a whopping $800, so buyers beware. The seafood soup was served lukewarm.... which we send it back in for re-heat. 

The service: the waiters are nice people, but that they are working with a poor management made their job unbelievably hard. We ordered a beer at the roof top bar and waited 20 mins. When we reflect the "midgetness" of the oyster to the waiter, he went back to the management and somehow, they "comp" us another platter of the same paper thin oysters.... Good judge Manager!! You see, when there is a complain about oyster, the solution is not more oyster!! IF YOU EVER try to compensate, give them other dishes to try or make some items on the bill free!!! The manager here just caused the waiter to have no tips here. We feel very bad too, but we can't reward such a poor system with any tips.

The decoration: that is the highlight of this place, I give you that they have spend like 20Mil on the decor, and I can't value the art pieces, they seems nice. but our tables are uneven, and we have 4 of them joined together. Strange why expensive furniture don't function together... And we were assigned to sit in a area where some of us have to crawl (yes, we did literally crawled like a baby) on the u-shape sofa to get to our seat. If you have so much space, why you made us sit like that, lucky, my wife and other girls didn't wear skirt and high heels.

The cake: They don't sell cakes here, and we are celebrating birthday, so we have to bring our own cake. Then we were told cake cutting fee is $50 per PERSON? I have never hear this kind of charge is based on per person. SO ultimately, the cutting fee would be more expensive than our cake.... So, we decided that we just store the cake there and would cut the cake later in another party. No biggie, right? Oh well, it turns out, they swap our cake when we leave... so when we take out the cake in the other place, it was a left-over half eaten cake that belongs to another customer......... The seems to be the funniest thing ever, IF IT WERE A PRANK!!!! 

So, overall, the place is overpriced, the service is at best non-offensive, and the experience will piss off most food loving people.... Good Luck going there if you really have to try.

<叫野食>

餐牌上有好多海鮮簡, 有刺身 (刺身再細分Sashimi, Tartare, Carpaccio), 有湯, 有沙律, 同埋大概十幾款既熟食, 而另外右上角有一欄係中式海鮮, 好似話係餐廳特登請左個中廚黎主理, 有豉椒炒蜆, 蒜蓉粉絲蒸帶子, 炒蟹之類等等等...

同友人J. Lee向著同一方向, 絕對唔叫港式海鮮, 一來佢喺網上openrice劣評如潮, 二來我地一致認為如果要食中式海鮮可以喺大排檔食, 而且一定好味過呢度.

<叫野飲>

食海鮮當然配白酒, 本身已經有心水 (因為喺未黎之前已經腥左個酒牌俾友人A. Chow – 在下既御用酒師~, 叫佢幫下眼簡定幾枝), 諗住叫野食時一次過叫埋, 點知侍者 (望落著西裝, 似係首領級) 幫我地take 完food order之後就好似好唔耐煩話轉頭先過黎take wine order… 點之呢個 “轉過頭” 一轉就轉左10分鍾…

需知道對於餐廳黎講, 酒錢係最好膁, 利潤最高, 叫枝$900既酒差唔多賺你一半, 難道而家嫌錢腥? 就這樣, 在下就拎住本wine list 好迷惘咁等左10分鍾~ 雖然佢最後佢都好nice咁介紹番唔同酒俾我地, 不過有時有啲野就好似一張摺皺左既紙, 你點熨都熨唔平…

頭盤之二, 亦係呢度最最最出名既菜式, 喺openrice個個都猛讚. 上網睇相以為佢個portion會好細, 仲躊躇緊三個人會唔會好難分, 但上到枱又ok喎, 每人都分到一大羹!

小龍蝦既鮮味比較淡身單薄, 但亦正正係佢吸引人既地方, 似有還無, 欲擒先縱, 欲拒還迎~ oops… sorry, high大左~ 哈哈~ 加埋魚子醬既咸鮮, 成道菜就鮮上加鮮. 底下既牛油果係一塊出色既綠葉, 喺味道同質地上都襯晒樓上既小龍蝦. 而汁醬都值得一提, 應該係經過悉心調製, 味道複雜, 甜咸參半, 帶少少中式感覺 (feel到有啲啲豉油同麻油), 畢少少淋落去隻小龍蝦度食, 成件事昇華晒!

雖然道菜係冷盤, 俾人好refreshing, 但小龍蝦同牛油果又會 “張” 住個口, 所以清爽得黎幾creamy, umum, 應該冇衝突吧咁講…

早幾日喺Plat du Jour @ Pacific Place 食左餐滿意青口, 果度以量取勝 (當然質素都相當唔錯, 只係佢個量實在太驚人).

相比Plat du Jour, Seafood Room 果兜算正常fine dine份量… 者係portion好細, 望落似得8-9隻, 心諗又被人呃… 點之唔知係唔係錯覺問題, “巧晨此啊~” 兜野食極都食都唔完, 夾完一隻又一隻, 在下起碼都食左7-8隻 (….唔排除在下因為覺得好好食而狂食, 食埋友人果份). 所以喺量呢方面, 佢就拎滿分 (最後好似都有成around18-20隻), 咁質呢? 堅冇得輸! 新鮮呢啲係基本, 最最最緊要係每隻都好肥美, 加埋煮既時間剛剛好, 每一隻都漲卜卜, 就咁食都好好味, 點埋底下既白酒忌簾汁就添加多一層滋味.

一直覺得整魚都係中菜既天下, 點整最好食, 唔駛問啊貴, 梗係清蒸啦, 不過難得黎到Seafood Room, 都要試下既~ 除左三文魚, 仲有三款簡: 海鱸 (Sea Bass), 倉魚 (Promote Devil), 鯛魚 (Sea Bream), 煎倉魚呢, 母親大人平時喺屋企都會整, 鯛魚成$650蚊一細條, 似乎唔太划算, 所以唯有簡海鱸.

老實講, 鱸魚在下一向都麻麻, 一來嫌佢唔夠滑, 二來唔夠香 (因為本身呢種魚肥油唔多), 不過, 叫得Seafood Room, 在下期望呢度會俾到驚喜, 所以決定放手一搏~ 可惜… 最後既冇驚又冇喜… 同平時食開既海鱸係一鬼樣… Sigh, 咁又白白浪費左$380. (well, to be honest, 佢呢條魚算係比其他餐廳既滑啲同香啲, 不過呢一 “啲” 唔多夠囉~)

反而配菜唔錯, 係在下最鍾意食既蕃茄粒同橄欖, yoho~ 在下一掃而光, 妹仔大過主人婆~

友人想試下八爪魚, 所以叫上一客. 好味既八爪魚唔多, 一來本身冇咩非中菜餐廳會供應, 二來多數衰韌, 食過暫時覺得好味既只有日本高級壽司店同尖沙咀Al Molo既Pan Seared Octopus (不過而家好似已經被人喺menu上剔走了, such a pity~)

講番呢度既八爪魚, 上枱時的確有點淆, 咁既樣既??? 薯蓉望落還可以, 條八爪魚鬚好似唔多係路喎 (佢俾一pat蕃茄蓉覆蓋住)… 但擺到上黎都要食架啦, 諗住切開幾份, 每人試少少先, 一落刀就發現有surprise, 咦?! 咁易切既~ 放落口就即刻安心晒, 縱使佢好粗 (大約係恒香蛋卷既兩倍), 依然咬落彈牙, 彈牙係好正常, 最怕咬唔爛, 咦?! 又幾易咬得開喎, 仲好juicy添, 個芯帶好少好少既海水咸味, 簡單啲黎講, 好食! 淨係texture呢一part已經夠俾佢滿分! 估計餐廳喺後期都落左唔少功夫去處理呢道食材, 難道佢幫條爪做左個幾粒鍾既full body massage?

條鬚估計都有成25-30cm, 每人分到2大碌, 配埋隔離既薯蓉, 食到呢度都幾飽, super大滿足!

呢道菜喺網上又係每個人都推介, 咁在下當然唔會執輸. 一上枱相機先食, 影果時已經聞到面豉香味, 搞到原本飽左七成既我地又開胃番. 先講條魚本身, 雖然熟透但冇過熟, it is cooked, but not overcooked, 你明既~

冇過熟令到魚油足以保留, 故夠香夠滑夠juicy (juicy係因為好多汁, 啲汁咪即係啲油囉, 勁多omega 3… 同埋勁多calories…shit!), 尤其魚既中間部分, 果種滑溜拍得上鱈魚!

重點係面豉醬汁, 原來三文魚同面豉係咁好朋友, 在下都係第一次食, 咸咸甜甜, 堅香口惹味! 臨食前再“芝”少少青檸汁上去, 為兩樣重口味既食材做一個refreshing agent~ 在下強烈推介呢道菜~

成個menu既熱食得2樣唔係海鮮, 一個係春雞, 一個係肉眼扒. 友人J. Lee鍾意鋸扒, 加上成餐飯如果冇一啲好實在既野落肚, 感覺係爭少少.

關於澳洲和牛, 其實在下之前喺Beefbar既Review入面講過 (Beefbar 既Dining Review ), 澳洲和牛係界乎日本和牛同美國牛中間, 佢比起日本和牛更有肉味, 比美國牛肥, 可以話佢取兩家之長, 亦可以話佢兩頭唔到岸, 呢個係半杯水既命題, 在下樂觀, 所以仲有半杯水~

友人R. Ho怕食生野, 怕血淋淋, 所以在下落單時特登request左medium (其實在下一開始係要求最好味既Medium Rare Medium…者係四成熟, 不過侍者擺出一個 “諗” 樣, 唔太明白在下講咩, 所以在下放棄, medium就好了), 無心插柳柳成蔭, 佢唔覺意就烤出左最難做到既Medium Rare Medium (頂! 咪即係一開始要求果個囉~), 唔太生得黎冇過熟, 保持肉嫰而冇血淋淋, 讚! 本身塊牛油脂充沛, 所以係好嫰, 唯欠一點肉味, 呢個就係澳洲和牛既弱點, 不過一早預左~

唯一不足之處係調味仲爭少少, 故同侍者拎左樽鹽, 自己加少少落去, 掂晒~

勁粗既薯條…. 都唔知仲應唔應該叫佢做 “條”, 薯磚似乎適合啲. 收得你成舊水, 佢都唔好意思俾M記質素啲薯條呱~ 果然, 冇偷工減料俾空心磚, 每一舊都好實心, 剛剛炸起所以皮脆內熱, 點埋茄汁或者青口汁超好味!

柚子撻喺openrice又係超多人推介, 在下當然又不甘後人, 人試我試, 即刻叫番個. 黎到個賣相幾靚, 估唔到個portion都好大, 估計直徑都有成10cm, 絕對唔係一人份量 (其實分三份在下都覺得ok). 撻皮夠脆, 柚子味好香, 亮點係唔太甜, 好味! 在下一向唔係焗蛋白既粉絲, 食之前在下就一野撥開左, 無法置評~

侍者Jerome 解釋番因為個柚子撻徧少少酸, 所以夾番個甜甜地既綠茶雪糕就會balance 番~ 不過在下覺得兩者似乎無咩關連.

朱古力蛋糕配左個花生醬脆脆喺底, 係幾惹味, 香蕉不嬲同花生醬係朋友, 所以夾埋唔錯. 在下個人黎講幾鍾意呢個甜品, 因為在下好鍾意食花生醬, 成日幻想有一日可以拎住隻羹直接畢花生醬黎食~ 呵呵~

Jerome 話佢最鍾意食呢個甜品, 雖然在下覺得cheesecake冇咩特別, 不過實在已經簡無可簡 (因為更加唔想食panna cotta 同芭菲), 所以叫一客. Cheesecake 味道不錯, 好香雲尼拿味, texture值得一讚, 硬身有substance得黎唔會好似Starbucks 藍苺芝士蛋糕咁死實, 裏面充斥大量空氣, 雖然聽落有啲矛盾, 但的確係 heavy 得黎幾light~

士多啤梨唔錯, 食落唔太酸, 應該唔係用cheap 野.

枝酒唔錯 (不過在下其實唔係好識欣賞白酒, 總之唔係難飲…), 不過九舊水似乎唔係太抵… 好大原因係在下唔太鍾意白酒, 而9百蚊其實已經可以買到枝好靚既紅酒.

食完成餐飯之後, Jerome 好好人咁同我地講, 唔夠喉既話可以上去rooftop 佢地既酒吧飲杯野或者食水煙, 如果係去既佢會留定張靚啲既枱俾我地. 難得佢咁好人, 而且時間倘早 (食完餐飯都只係9點半…), 所以就上去坐陣~

上面其實就係棟大廈既天枱, 不過改裝左做酒吧, area好大, 而且個景好靚, 可以望晒成個維港, 嗱… 呢啲先叫海景… 個場唔算多人, 而且算坐得舒服.. 不過人大了, 佢啲梳化對在下黎講實在太淋了, 好彩佢仲有啲硬櫈~

野食COMMENT

雖然成餐飯都係主要圍繞海鮮, 但都有好多唔同種類, 又有唔同煮法, 所以一啲都唔悶. 味道賣相屬高水平, 大部份都值得細心回味 (有幾道菜仲好驚喜添~). 最後份量比想像中大, 值得一讚!

服務COMMENT

除左一開始果位黑面首領, 其他侍者都好健談同好好笑容, 值得一提係其中一位server – Jerome, 去到餐飯中段佢突然出現左, 專業得黎肯花時間同客人傾計, 講解菜式時有耐心, 又有無限笑容, 為呢餐飯添色不少. 少少失分位係臨走時冇人講88, 縱使佢地有人幫我地禁電梯落番地下, 服務切忌好頭爛尾, 任你起跳幾高, 高空轉左幾多個圈, 臨尾唔記得壓水花就spoil左成件事了.

不過樓上酒吧啲服務就真係爭少少啦, 個個都好似黑面神… (或者會唔會因為係個環境太暗, 在下眼花呢?)

環境COMMENT

餐廳剛開業四個月, 裝修靚同新淨係預料中事, 餐廳好人安排個轉角海景位俾我地, 在此致謝~ 不過…”Window Seat” 對香港人已經開始免疫, 香港既 “夜景” “海景”對於在下餐飯並唔會特別加分 (除非你係Petrus既落地大玻璃咁既view…否則, “window seat” 只係a seat next to a window, that’s all) 與其俾呢張轉角枱在下, 倒不如安排一張靜啲既枱, 在下會更開心.

餐廳好大, 上網話有八千幾呎, 但似乎餐廳有意將3-4人枱都安排喺同一個area, 雖然係禮拜四, 但似乎呢間野人氣高企, 我地成個area都full house, 所以幾嘈下… 不過我地幾個大男友, 傾計飲酒, 所以今餐對寧靜並無太大要求.

洗手間細, 裝修靚, 算普通乾淨, 不過第一次去廁所時, 清潔姐姐口快心直話唔好用盡個尿兜住, 因為地下有wee wee, umum, 有時又唔駛咁坦白既…

抵唔抵食?

一般啦… 每人千五蚊, 都食到幾飽, 又有酒飲, 有啲菜式仲俾到驚喜, 最緊要坐得舒服, 仲有得俾你直落上埋去佢個rooftop 酒吧再傾下*, ok既.

大蜆墨魚汁麵,這個由於不是墨魚汁烹調的,

所以吃後不會成嘴都係墨魚汁,

但係墨魚汁麵的味道就較淡。

大蜆新鮮鮮甜,而且每一隻都漲卜卜啖啖肉,

所以令到成個意粉的分數加數不少!

埋單HK$1,734,老實說個人覺得食物水平上不值這個價錢,

以人頭800元左右可以有很多不同的選擇,

雖說這裡是主打海鮮,但就不見得特別好出色呢,

可是,這兒的環境和服務的確一流。

一直想造訪Seafood Room,周末只有Brunch, 收費$600位, 欠了動力去用這價錢作第一次嘗試。難得有朋自遠方來, 這天特意跟他到這裡享午膳。一進場, 巳被裝潢吸引, 高高的樓底, 配以大吊燈, 加上無敵落地玻璃窗, 面向海, 有陽光直射, 居高臨下, 實在是用膳好地方。點了兩個午餐, 前菜, 主菜, 甜品跟茶/咖, 每位$280。食物的賣相是悅目的, 可惜味道實在太普通…Prawn Caesar Salad的用材不算高級, 質素是一般餐廳可找到的, 味道普通, 只是沙律醬有沙律醬味, 芝士有芝士味… 僅此而巳。Seafood Room Ceviche實乃雜錦海鮮, 海鮮尚算新鮮, 但欠了鮮味, 欠咬台感, 不彈牙。最令人失望的是Clams Black Bean Sauce, 類以中式炒蜆, 蜆是大隻的, 但味道比不上大排檔的惹味, 豆豉完全蓋過蜆該有的鮮味。Barramundi是最佳的一味, 魚煮得剛好, 不會過度使魚失鮮味, 魚肉吃下還爽口, 配上 朝鮮薊, 不俗!對海鮮大失所望之際, 幸好甜品和咖啡都有驚喜, Chocolate & Orange Tart朱古力香濃

最令人失望的是Clams Black Bean Sauce, 類以中式炒蜆, 蜆是大隻的, 但味道比不上大排檔的惹味, 豆豉完全蓋過蜆該有的鮮味。

Seafood Room has been talk of the town for a while within my group of friends. We were fascinated by the luxury and unique decoration of the restaurant; as well as delicious food. It was also interested to know that it is owned & run by a Russian Group. The only drawback is pricing was not too friendly.

As a smart purchaser, I decided to wait for special offer. Luckily, not long! Seafood Room was on the list of Restaurant Week Summer 2016. I got the chance to try a 3-course lunch menu for a price of $198 instead of $280. That was a good hundred dollar bargain!!

I picked 1st of August purposely so my birthday month would start with a deluxe lunch. I was lucky. If the booking was dinner or lunch on 2rd August, it would have been cancelled due to typhoon. On the other hand, it was even more relaxing as I was anticipating a extra day off on the next day.

Tower 535 was a new building next to World Trade Centre in Causeway Bay. From the outlook, it is simply an upper end office building. But stepping inside, the grand and big wave ceiling gave me a feeling that I was entering New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. However, the perception changed immediately once I accessed the lobby. It was quiet, cool and empty. Restaurants on lobby floor were still under renovation and there were no security guards around.

Seafood Room is located at 26th floor. That is close to root top.

I have no doubt to do the same. This typical picture taking from the dining room towards the lift lobby represents all about Seafood Room. It was like an aquarium or a gallery!

The living creative specimens in the glass containers were delicate and certainly worthwhile to take closer look. Colorful paintings on the wall talked about old China. East meets the ocean! East meets the West!

This is definitely not the only site-seeing attraction here. Pay attention to the shark at the end, reptile on the floor, huge water tanks with living lobster and shell fish and an ice tank with fresh chilled seafood.

I couldn’t help not to take pictures at the lady’s room. There was amazing view and palace style washing basins. I got to own the “image” at the least.

I arrived at noon, early enough for me to pick the best seat for two, a quiet corner with sofa seats, next to the huge ceiling to floor window. It was an absolutely open view although the sky was milky due to a typhoon no.1 being hosted.

While waiting for my dinning partner, I ordered warm water. I was unexpectedly served by a set of elegant teapot and cup. They were beautifully painted with interesting items; such as Hong Kong ferry, bird cage and dim sum.

Lunch menu for Restaurant Week was placed on the table. It was simple and straightforward. There were 4-5 choices for each section of appetizer, main and dessert. Did not mention but understandable; coffee and drink was complementary.

I also asked for a standard menu for reference. It is simple but sophisticated and is divided into 12 sections including: ‘Carpaccio’, ‘Tartare’, ‘Ceviche’, ‘New-style Sashimi’, Hot Dishes’, ‘Sashimi’, ‘Pasta’, ‘Chinese Dishes’ ( prepared by their in-house Chinese chef), ‘Meats’ and more.

Lunch started. We both picked the same appetizer. For the mains, I picked a fish while my dinning partner has clams.

I could not tell whether bread was homemade but they were definitely fresh. A basket with 3 kinds of bread with a variety of focaccia, French bread and crispy toast style was served warm.

What amazed me the most was the top quality Italian vinegar that came with. This vinegar tasted sweeter than those I had before. This was impressive. I should look for it and buy one.

Ceviche is a seafood dish popular in the coastal regions of Ecuador, Colombia, Chile and Perú and other parts of Latin America. I had my first bite from the trip to Peru back in 2006. I was glad to have a re-union today. When I saw “Seafood Room Ceviche” on the menu, I knew it must be good.

The presentation was certainly eye-catching. Three pieces of plantain were inserted into a bowl of Ceviche and standing still. Plantain belongs to the family of banana but less sweeten. The fried plantain looked alike with banana but they were very thin and crispy. It has only a light sweet taste but good enough to match with fresh seafood. Plantain used to be a perfect partner with Ceviche.

Prepared in a traditional way, the dish was made from fresh raw fish cured in citrus juices, such as lemon or lime, and spiced with chili peppers. Additional seasonings, chopped onions, salt, and cilantro, were also found.

Tuna, salmon and sea bass were raw fish of the day. They can be distinguished easily by the orange, pink and light color respectively. They were all chopped into small cubes and easily be eaten in one bite. This was an absolutely delightful appetizer. All salami was fresh, tender and juicy. Most amazing is the lovely sweet and sour taste from the seasoning, it indeed awaken my stomach and gave me a great first impression to today’s lunch.

According to the a-la-carte menu, market fish is charged by 100g basis. Ordering a whole fish could be luxury with un-predictable price in the evening. It might be the reasons that my friends found this place expensive.

As a fish lover, I was happy to find 3 types of fish to choose from at lunch menu. Sea Bream and Sea Bass asked for $50 top up. So, I picked Barramundi. It was also less often to be served at western restaurant. I was curious to know the quality.

A big piece of fish was served, cooked and presented in a western way. The Barramundi was fried into golden brown color. I could tell the fish skin was crispy. Vegetable; such as artichoke and cherry tomato was placed under the fish to enhance the appearance. They were seasoned by salt and pepper. Green sauce made of pesto was sprinkle on the plate, this little touch up light up the dish as a painting.

With the seasoning of olive oil, salt, pepper and pesto, the fish ended up taste deliciously. Crispy skin, soft meat, boneless, no complaint!

Clams were huge and fat. There were about 10-12 pieces in the pot. It was juicy and fully covered by black bean paste. However, the taste was mild and just right, did not overwhelm the freshness of clams. It was just mouth-watering and highly recommended.

The tart was made of 3 layers, rich chocolate at the top, orange mouse in the middle and a crispy crust at the bottom. A well balance of chocolate bitterness and sweet & sour orange favor. The tart was extremely thick and smooth. Vanilla ice cream and pistachio nuts on the side further enhance the richness of this dessert.

It was indeed a very refreshing combination. The unique sour taste of passion fruit was very obviously, at the same time, matched perfectly fine with alkaline base of Cream Brulee. It was an interesting contrast, awakened my stomach after a big meal. It also came with pistachio nut crispy biscuit.

Service at this place really needs to improve because I have heard other friends complain about the service as well.
