跟住晚飯不如試吓附近在外面看起來佷貴又'o握'鬼佬的ovologue。餐廳格調真係夠有oriental家俬舖feel,古董和新潮中式藝術混在一起,燈光暗暗的, 真的有點像去了喜歡亞洲文化的外國人家那樣。但這應該是約會的好地點,靜及不是佷多人 [但係我同居企人去....哭]。

叫了2頭盤,4個主菜 (ahiyaaa... 全部都係啡色汁)。

頭盤:
話梅白玉果 (話梅味太甜,冇苦瓜應有的甘味。)
明蝦煎較子(賣相好,味道都好。較子皮包著一隻原鮮蝦。)

主菜:
豆豉酥魚 (豆豉係主角,魚係ke le fe。有D鹹,但送飯都ok。啡色汁)
薄荷牛柳粒 (牙膏味,牛柳乾'曬',太鹹,吃完可能血壓高又腎衰竭。超深啡色汁)

Overall, ok啦。約會都唔來了,鹹死人地沒命陪。If some day i suddenly miss american-chinese soy sauce food then maybe i'll come back again.

週五和同事到灣仔祇月用膳。其實每次經過餐廳門口,都被那份懷舊氣息吸引,今次終有機會入內窺看品茗。店內環境確是很好很舒適,裝潢以一眾中式擺設作主軸,但又同時富有強烈的顏色對比,感覺stylish。先來點茶,一壺雨前龍井,茶味清香,所用茶葉質素不俗。食品點了午市套餐,$138+10%一位,包含三款點心、一款小菜、一款飯麵及一客甜品。首先來的是各式點心,賣相確是精緻小巧。碧綠蟹子餃賣相綠油油的,餡料新鮮,蝦肉蟹子皆爽口彈牙,只是略嫌餃子皮製作厚了一點,影響了整體口感。帶子燒賣用料和碧綠蟹子餃差不多,同樣質素上佳,因少了「餃子皮」的影響,味道更佳。再來一客煎炸美點芋茸香酥盒,煎得香而不膩,好食喎!接着是小菜時間,酸梅雞球醬汁酸酸的,醒胃美味。干扁四季豆,味道辣辣地,質素符合預期。飯麵任揀其一。只試了香葱撈麵,簡單以香葱蝦米作餸料,伴上口感不俗的麵條,評分OK。最後是甜品時間,一客甜品拼盤有三款甜點,老實說,賣相味道都是很一般。之前的菜式都吸人不錯的印象,無理由最尾的甜品質素如此一般。

已經是第二次去食lunch。book了枱不用等候就入來,其實我想如果大家臨時要在灣仔找一個不錯的地方吃飯,可以往這裡來。環境100分,有很多藝術擺設。荼有多種選擇,又再一次選了人參烏龍,如果荼的人參味強一點會更完美。叫了多款點心,全部味道都不錯,除了那特長spring roll的味道賣相完全不合格外,其實都可一試。見很多人都選了甜點set,$38一個人有3種點心。我們試了豆沙餅,失望,太油膩。第一次試了牛河,第二次試了旦白炒飯,都不錯,特別加一點附上的豆瓣(雖然同事說太咸),味道更佳。一間服務和環境都不錯的餐廳,難得食物也不錯。是一間可以推界的餐廳。

The service staff were friendly, attentive and very accomodating. They even allowed us to choose a quieter table so we had more privacy from the other diners. Andy, the waiter who served us was wonderful (altho his photography skills could be improved! haha). We requested for less spice in some of our dishes and for the soup to be piping hot, and both requests were met with a smile.

The food was delicious. We loved the spicy beef and egg yolk shrimps. The wide selection from the menu made it hard to decide on what to order.

We loved the modern Chinese setting decor which fuels the initial impression that it's a place catered to expatriates or tourists, But scratch a little deeper below the surface and you'll discover that Ovologue retains an authentic charm.

臨時要和同事到灣仔辦點公事,自然不會錯過在這邊吃飯的機會,總好過返到荔枝角無啖好食。是日心情煩躁,很想吃好一點,嚐試無訂位咁走上去Amuse Bouche碰碰運氣。奈何是日的運氣不是太好,小小店子已經爆場,唯有另覓地點開餐,輾轉下來到「當鋪」開飯。環境氣氛好是無容置疑的了!店內的大鳥籠、中式屏風以及傳統中國化的裝修,「鬼佬」一定喜歡。這裡令我想起另一個岩「鬼佬」的地方,就是胡同。當然,胡同的景觀又會比這裡好。坐低先點茶,對方選了四季清香,個名幾好聽,其實是台灣的白茶,我未喝過,也樂意嚐試。用精美的茶壺奉上清香的白茶,再配合這怡人的環境,煩惱頓時煙消雲散。午市二人套餐,可選三款點心、一款餸菜、麵 /飯,還有甜品。不想太多,就這個套餐吧!打頭炮的點心是碧綠蟹子餃,賣相是很別緻的。坦白說,餡料的蝦肉是相當豐富的,而且又爽口鮮甜,面對的蟹子亦能增加層次感,但致命傷是外皮做得太糟糕,勁黏牙的,完全破壞了整個餃的質素。另一款點心為陳皮牛肉餅,其實即是牛肉球,放了不少芫茜,同時陳皮亦很香,比起一般酒樓吃到的牛肉球更有特色、更為矜貴。還有芋茸香酥盒,這個外表沒什麼特別,不過外層煎得香口,裡頭加了紫菜和

打頭炮的點心是碧綠蟹子餃,賣相是很別緻的。坦白說,餡料的蝦肉是相當豐富的,而且又爽口鮮甜,面對的蟹子亦能增加層次感,但致命傷是外皮做得太糟糕,勁黏牙的,完全破壞了整個餃的質素。

另一款點心為陳皮牛肉餅,其實即是牛肉球,放了不少芫茜,同時陳皮亦很香,比起一般酒樓吃到的牛肉球更有特色、更為矜貴。

還有芋茸香酥盒,這個外表沒什麼特別,不過外層煎得香口,裡頭加了紫菜和馬蹄粒,整體口感又是煙煙韌韌的,幾得意,也是三款點心之中我最欣賞的。

輪到京蔥爆羊肉,味道是稍稍淡了一點,但肉質軟滑,又帶些肥,沒有半點羊羶味,夾著香口的京蔥吃是很不錯的。不過個人認為,份量太大了,如果可以減少份量,再加多一個餸,會更適合。

四川擔擔麵絕對不是正宗,我本身是不抗拒新派的做法,只要好吃便可。然而,這個出品,只有很多的麻醬,沒有絲毫辣味,麵條亦不彈牙,說不上出色。如要比較,我會喜歡傳統的擔擔麵多些。

甜品環節,係一個甜品盤品,以一隻長碟盛著三款甜點,但賣相卻比預期遜色,尤其是中間的白兔仔糯米滋,怎麼看都不像樣。說回味道,那個蔘蜜糕味道太薄弱,感覺也不清新,很一般;白兔仔糯米滋,口感煙韌,可是餡料的蛋黃不香;楊枝甘露布甸又是味淡,芒果肉不清甜,沒柚子的清新,三款都不太好。

服務是較好的一環,年青的服務生個個禮貌周周,招呼也算到位,大致滿意的。但論午市價位,確是不太划算。

great place to take western visitors for a "pretty" chinese meal. came here last year, i think a few months after it first opened. haven't been back since so that says a lot.they do have some innovative dishes, well presented and tasted OK (some dishes were quite spicy so not suitable for all). but again nothing blow ur hair back. didn't help that the service wasn't polished either and to top it off, it was a bit over priced. would be worthed if it's around $300pp. it would also help if th

it would also help if the service was more attentive and friendly, make u feel at home and special, then customers would come back again and again. this is the problem with a lot of these modern chinese restaurants in the city. yes they got better decor, seem cleaner and maybe got more innovative dishes, but the staff/atmosphere tends to be as minimal as the decor and lacks that je ne sais quoi that keeps customers coming back week after week.

go for an elegant dinner of something chinese but different. go there to impress a date. go there for a change. but that's about it.

今日中午老細請食晏,平時經過的一直都好想入去試下,但自己又唔會貿貿然入去,今次咁好機會當然要一試啦!....好開心吖!...去到一間咁有特色的餐廳食飯,環境真係好古老不過好特別好幽靜....雖然點心款式不多但款款都好特別!...我哋總共叫咗四款點心,兩碟小菜和一碟炒飯....我本人就喜愛芝麻蝦多士,真係好正!....又脆又熱,但唯一最唔好的就係d菜和碟炒飯都好細碟....埋單時仲有八折....(優惠期截止今個月尾)

醉雞 - 起曬骨﹐岩晒我依D懶人﹐啖啖肉﹐正﹗好有酒﹐但係我對酒有敏感﹐唔敢食太多。
湯﹕
鵝肝雲吞雞湯(2份) - 個雞湯底好好味﹐仲有好多雲吞同雞。。。我太肚餓﹐狼吞虎燕﹐食唔到鵝肝。不過同事就食到話覺得好得意。
主菜﹕
麻婆豆腐 - 夠晒辣﹐送飯最好。可惜我唔太食得辣呢﹗
黑椒蓮藕 - 蓮藕好爽﹐叫時唔知道有雀巢﹐我鍾意食炸野﹐所以岩晒我。
燒汁排骨(唔知係唔係真係咁叫) - 係火焰架﹗又係有酒既﹐我食佐幾舊就唔敢食喇﹗
薑汁炒芥蘭 - 好味﹐唔洗多講﹐因為我最愛食芥蘭。
黑松露油燒雜菌(終於知道叫咩喇﹗) - 依然好好食﹐我俾10份﹐滿分。
祗月炒飯 - 係海鮮炒飯﹐有一粒粒既蟹子﹐食落覺得好得意。
甜品
杏仁豆腐花 - 我唔識杏仁﹐俾唔到評語﹐不過同事話幾好味。
豆沙餅 - 係炸架又﹐仲要係我叫既﹐我當然覺得好好食啦﹗
金箔紅豆糕 - 上邊有層jelly﹐下邊就係椰汁紅豆糕。。。我唔識椰汁﹐所以淨係食層金箔jelly﹐哈哈﹗(其實我真係好多野都唔食既~)
拔絲蘋果 - OK啦﹗如果真係晌我地面前整會仲好呢﹗我之前去過一間上海餐館係晌我地面前整架﹗

上星期拉好奈無見既表姑食晚飯,佢幾年無返香港,一心諗住同佢食餐特別少少既聽人介紹灣仔有間幾特別既古蹟變左做餐廳, 原先卜左一間叫the pawn既西餐食dinner啦,開初以為祇月就係the pawn,一入去,先知原來兩間係唔同野.個笑容甜美既經理姐姐問我地試唔試吓,仲話有八折優惠,好似好吸引,把持唔住轉場食中餐環境係幾好,靜靜地,有feel,我表姑一坐低已經好鐘意,chinese得黎好有西方情調,其他地方好少見兩個人order左6,7樣野,其實好多樣都同出面川菜大同小異,主力sell樣,味道無大問題,不過唔會話特別好食有趣少少既特色咕嚕肉好好味,同平時出面街食既唔一樣,但甜左少少, 試係因為waiter好熱情咁話這個係招牌菜,記得有少少野係唔同出面,佢講得太快,都忘記左內容但overall係唔錯,最得係碟菜個樣花型玫瑰糕清清地,食完成餐食呢個就剛剛好,唔會太full個shape好靚,花型入面隱約見到d玫瑰花瓣,真係唔捨得食ok! not bad不過如果係自己同普通朋友,未必捨得比咁貴始終菜式都唔係太特別,係環境呀,碟菜個樣呀,補返數表姑非常like,我可能係香港周度食左咁多年野,就覺

開初以為祇月就係the pawn,一入去,先知原來兩間係唔同野.
個笑容甜美既經理姐姐問我地試唔試吓,仲話有八折優惠,好似好吸引,把持唔住轉場食中餐
環境係幾好,靜靜地,有feel,我表姑一坐低已經好鐘意,chinese得黎好有西方情調,其他地方好少見
兩個人order左6,7樣野,其實好多樣都同出面川菜大同小異,主力sell樣,味道無大問題,不過唔會話特別好食

清清地,食完成餐食呢個就剛剛好,唔會太full
個shape好靚,花型入面隱約見到d玫瑰花瓣,真係唔捨得食

不過如果係自己同普通朋友,未必捨得比咁貴
始終菜式都唔係太特別,係環境呀,碟菜個樣呀,補返數
表姑非常like,我可能係香港周度食左咁多年野,就覺得一般般咁
係見有八折,個心都開心少少,無咁肉痛

辦完貨後別過食友們,雖然是勞動節後的周末天,但似乎仍有一些累人的公務要找個地方處理,來到這裡吃兩件點心,上網交兩分稿責。年前來過,轉眼又已一年,生意依舊是麻麻,似乎要靠母公司OvO作補貼。環境依舊是Chinese tone,配套稍作轉變,但都是自家製的碗碟,是賣點來的。鹹點要了原隻鮑魚燒賣,甜點要了荷花酥。鮑魚燒賣以小寶盒盛著,賣相佳,罐頭鮑魚以偏甜的蠔油汁處理,是很正路做法,奈何功力問題,鮑魚吃起來很韌,墊底的燒賣,稱得上珍寶級,有蝦粒、豬肉粒,吃起來「索索」有聲,味道及口感方面卻是各自各精彩,很神奇,好吃嗎不是,但又非至於不好吃。甜品是荷花酥,酥皮做成花瓣狀,以手功黏合成紅、綠趣緻的荷花中間夾有蓮蓉,花瓣不算香酥,勝在賣相佳,蓮蓉不夠甜香,吃完印象亦不深,若非即吃即寫這篇食評的話,事後也難說出是日的味道。茶資每位十五元,質素不差,只嫌水不夠滾,招呼不錯,希望在食物味道上花點心機,步出門口,唔知會否再有「下次」?

鹹點要了原隻鮑魚燒賣,甜點要了荷花酥。鮑魚燒賣以小寶盒盛著,賣相佳,罐頭鮑魚以偏甜的蠔油汁處理,是很正路做法,奈何功力問題,鮑魚吃起來很韌,墊底的燒賣,稱得上珍寶級,有蝦粒、豬肉粒,吃起來「索索」有聲,味道及口感方面卻是各自各精彩,很神奇,好吃嗎不是,但又非至於不好吃。

甜品荷花酥,酥皮做成花瓣狀,以手功黏合成紅、綠趣緻的荷花中間夾有蓮蓉,花瓣不算香酥,勝在賣相佳,蓮蓉不夠甜香,吃完印象亦不深,若非即吃即寫這篇食評的話,事後也難說出是日的味道。

茶資每位十五元,質素不差,只嫌水不夠滾,招呼不錯,希望在食物味道上花點心機,步出門口,唔知會否再有「下次」?

-上枱時熱辣辣
-個汁比較甜,而且亦無嘜黑松露味
-不過d菇都好肥美

6) 玫瑰參蜜凍糕
-的骰嘅3小件
-每件底都有1小片玫瑰花瓣
-玫瑰味只喺食到花瓣時先最感覺到,人參味就唔多覺

- 唔可以唔講裝潢,食具同細節都明顯好下過心機,好雅緻..........帶老外嚟就最啱

- 味道當然合格,但同個環境比就差好1段喇~~~

The decor of the restaurant was nice - but obviously catered towards attracting foreigners. The food was all right - but nothing to die for.The main problem was the service. We were served by three people, one of whom appeared to be the floor manager. Service was slow, one guy was almost throwing the cutlery on our table. The decor of the restaurant was nice - but obviously catered towards attracting foreigners. The food was all right - but nothing to die for.

The main problem was the service. We were served by three people, one of whom appeared to be the floor manager. Service was slow, one guy was almost throwing the cutlery on our table.

Another miraculous discovery was that NO ONE, not even the floor manager, was well acquainted with the menu. One waiter did not even know that iced tea was not on the drinks menu. My friend was somewhat disturbed by the fact that they could not simply add ice to tea.

The dim sum platter - being possibly the highlight of the appetizers part on the menu - had 5 different items: the 3 special ones being the abalone siu mai, goldfish dumplings, and dumplings wrapped with spinach skin and topped with sharks fin.

We asked the floor manager what the goldfish dumpling was... and he came back with scissors. We repeated our question (but figured the scissors would still be of use) and he told us to wait a moment. He then came back with the menu.

He opened the menu and read to us what we had already seen from the menu.
"This is the abalone siu mai..." <-- this was blatantly obvious
"This is... the goldfish dumpling" <-- this was also very obvious - fortunately the dumpling was shaped like a goldfish.
"Yes... but what is in it...? Is it like a har gau?"
"It has prawn in it."
"So it's like a har gau"
"Yes... pretty much."

Then came the dumpling wrapped with green skin.
"This..." he explained "is a skin made from spinach" <-- hence the green colour
"Topped with sharks fin" <-- again - very obvious since we have the ability to see
"So what is inside?"
"uhh... prawn."
"Ok thanks."

He then proceeded to cut everything into half with the scissors.
But out of the 6 dumplings on the top rack - he only cut 5.
And he totally ignored the spring rolls and wu gok on the bottom.

...

I could write a whole thesis on this but I will not.

Towards the end of the meal, we were quite full but noticed that one beef dish had not yet been served. We asked the waiter whether the order had been taken - and if so, whether we could still cancel it.

The waiter went away... came back and smiled... "You would like to cancel?"
"We ordered a beef dish. If it has not yet been made, then yes - please cancel it."
"I will go see... Please wait"

We waited for 5 minutes and noticed a discussion between 2 of the waiters and the floor manager.

The waiter comes back.
"Everything has been served."
"Everything? So our order for the beef was not taken down."
"Everything has been served."
"Right..."

The floor manager who came to take our order at the start even came back to say
"Everything you ordered has been served."
"So the beef order was not taken?"
"I believe not."
That meant, apart from not knowing their own menu - they were also incapable of taking customers' orders.

Unless forced... or horribly drunk... I doubt I will ever set foot in this restaurant again.

While the food is not bad when it comes to modern Chinese (eg compared to Water Margin, Yun Fu etc), the service is very poor to say the least. First of all, my boyfriend and I sat down and were asked to order like 5 times although we were still waiting for our friends. Then when my friends arrived we started chatting away as we had not seen each other for a long time, and the waiter came over and interrupted our conversation at least 4 times asking us to order. Finally, we ordered with a non-Chinese speaking waitress who I thought would be more on the ball. We ordered about 2 appetizers and 4 main courses, including tiger prawn and spicy beef etc. There were a pork and a vegetable dishes we wanted but were sold out. I completely understood as it was getting close to 10pm so we settled on other options.

Then, they came over at 1030pm and told us the kitchen is closing. We thought it was weird for a place like that to close so early, especially it was Friday while lots of guests were still drinking and chatting but then we were ok with food anyway. So it was when we were having our 3rd main course they put the toothpicks on our table, I got the feeling that they had forgotten one of our orders. I quickly asked the lady who took our order, she went to the kitchen and came back to confirm that she had forgotten. It was a fish dish she suggested when she found out that the pork we originally ordered was sold out. I did not quite understand how she could just forget as we literally sat right outside the kitchen. I asked if she could get the kitchen to make it for us then and she said the kitchen was literally “closed”. I asked if they could make dessert and the answer was no.
While I was pleasantly surprised with the food, I must say we won’t go back as the service was just too disappointing. Usually when something like that happens, you expect a restaurant of some class to offer a discount, a desert or a drink on the house, or at least an apology from the manager – but we just got NONE of the above. The meal cost us something like $300 a head but we felt that we might have been treated better at Tsui Wah at least Tsui Wah always gets my order right…

Lunch with family, someone suggested to try this place, been reading about it for a while, went past it a few times when going to the Pawn, so i was dying to find out what the hype was all about.

Once entering, the decor already takes you back to an old chinese home, airy, spacious and very stylish. The tables were nicely spaced apart, they made use of dangling decorations to semi-partition off areas for a more intimate dining experience. The wooden chairs were all different shapes and sizes, and all the tea cups were different too.

There were 4 kinds of tea to choose from, forgot the name of the one we had (2nd from list), but it was very fragrant, and left a refreshing taste lingering in one's throat after a sip.

The menu had a fair selection of dim sums, quite a lot had crab or shrimp or fish roe in it, which my mum didn't like, but overall they tasted good. The prawn dumplings were filled with juicy pieces of prawn and hardly any pork fat, the "very very very long" spring roll came with mayo on top (i prefer Worcestershire sauce, mayo kinda kills the flavour) and was cut into 6 pieces at the tableside. Then we had chicken abalone pies, which someone commented that the pastry was a little too sweet. Had a few other dim sums too, but let's move on.

The "wah wah choi" with dried prawns was nice, except the prawns were soaked long enough and was hard to chew through. The "dried stir-fry 4 season beans" were a little too crunchy and the pork was too fatty. The mixed mushrooms pot were really nice, fresh and complimented well by the abalone sauce. The dan dan noodles were similar to ramen noodles, and the sauce was not hot, had a nice peanut flavour without being overwhelming. The jellyfish was spicy and lovely, but my favourite was the beef shank with 5 spices - absolutely heaven.

One word for those who don't like pepper, they do use a lot of pepper in their dishes and caused my dad to choke on something, so ask the chef to go light if pepper isn't your thing.

As with chinese practise, the adults started fighting to get the bill. My uncle gave the manager his card, but then another waiter also accepted my aunt's credit card and so... you get the picture. But the manager should have warned the waiter first, still, it's only a minor point, one family mah.
