Ahh The Canny Man. The Wan Chai Oasis. Been coming here on and off for many a year now. Decor has gotten a wee bit old over the years but the place has still kept its overall charm. Settled in for a bit of scran  while watching the rugby.  Steak n Ale  pie never goes a miss and wasnt dissapointed. Wife went for the spicy pizza which she couldnt finish so I did the honours  Staff are always jovial and happy to have a chat. Good to see the old Wan Chai haunts still going strong. Keep it up Canny

It’s nice to come to when you don’t want a loud vibe. Great staff that are happy to engage and take requests.

I came here for the 98 dollar 3 course set lunch and had roast of the day (beef). I arrived early (around 12:30) so didn't have a problem with getting a table. The staff were speedy and efficient and food tasted good. Maybe could of had more than one ice cream selection (only had vanilla) but overall a nice lunch.

Visited this restaurant last night with some friends for some dinner after I stumbled across for an advertisement for the special 'Beer and Burger' deal for only 98 dollars! We decided to try it out and was extremely satisfied with the delicious food and great service. Highly recommend!

Came here with my wife for some British / Scottish fare and was pleasantly suprised. Very hospitable and friendly staff and ambience was just right for our early evening dinner. I opted for the traditional Haggis, Neeps & Tatties which tasted yummy and does the restaurants Scottish theme proud. My wife went for the other British classic of bangers and mash which was also excellent. A great place for a drink and a bite to eat 

The Bangers and Mash looked shriveled up, but the taste was good and it was a decent portion and gave me a feeling of satisfaction. It was a great place to watch the football game. The ambience was good and staff was friendly, especially since most guests were regulars. Interior decoration was a but aged, but still acceptable.

From their website:"The Canny Man is Hong Kong's only authentic, traditional Scottish bar."..No its not. I went in to watch a Scotland vs England football game thinking, as a Scot in HK, that this would be a good place to watch it. Instead they were playing a (RERUN) of France vs South Africa at Rugby and when I asked the barmaid to change it she refused. This place is a joke.

是由蘇格蘭友人帶著到這裡的。他說要介紹我地道的蘇格蘭文化，所以點了要一客羊肉做的haggis薯蓉。沒有吃過傳統蘇格蘭食物所以唔知有幾好，但個蘇格蘭朋友話都好似ok正宗。本身鍾意食羊肉，我覺得羊肉味好濃。個汁撈埋D薯蓉，好好食。另外佢有一隻來自比利時的桃味樽裝啤酒，好清新，同埋出面D酒吧唔係度度都有得飲。唔知點解冷氣好唔夠，開埋座地電風扇都覺得好熱。

My friends and I have been going here on a regular basis on most Wednesdays for their pub quiz. There are two quiz masters who rotate are both excellent so we've really been liking it but the attitude of the waitstaff and management are getting progressively worse and worse.They used to have a Pie and Pint special for HKD 88 which honestly, wasn't too shabby. It's definitely not the greatest meal, but overall fine. But they got rid of it on Wednesdays (but lo and behold, there are advertisements

Quite the most vile meal have had in ages. Pie n pint promotion $88 +10%.Fries that arrived cold, soaked in oil from repeated cookings, congealed tepid gravy that was chunky, ice cold peas and a pie which might have been nice at some point but was either kept in a warmer too long or twice cooked to be dry and cold.  The waitress did take the plate away 'recook' the same fries to lukewarm, but the kitchen obviously didn't check the rest of the plate becasue the same cold peas and congealed gravy

今日放假，去了灣仔找朋友吃午餐，但可能正值午餐時間，外面十分多人，我們想吃的都已經滿座了。所以就來到一間在酒店地底的酒吧吃午餐。進去後覺得這裡環境不錯，地方很大，空間感很好，而且是少有明亮的酒吧，有一個大銀幕，相信是給客戶看足球或其他比賽用，整個環境不錯看，很適合談生意。全間酒吧其實就只有一個套餐可以選擇，但就可以選擇要湯或沙律，主菜則可以選擇意大利粉或是咖哩雞飯，還有雪糕和咖啡或茶，全個套餐合共98元，很貴！但在灣仔區也真的是沒有辦法⋯⋯ 首先是餐包，有點硬，但配搭牛油反而感覺不錯；然後就到咖哩雞飯了，雞肉有點老，應該是煮過頭了，另外咖哩汁不夠味，不辣不甜的，雪糕是雀巢雪糕而已，咖啡亦無驚喜，味道太淡了，估計是即溶咖啡，茶餐廳的可能更好。總結來說就是酒店級價錢但小店級食物，只是服務好一點而已，如無必要我應該不會再去了。

Went to the monthly BBC gathering for the first time at Canny Man.Entry is free and you pay for your own food and drinks.My friend had the steak pie which was a really big dish loaded with meat and gravy.The gravy was delicious with chunks of meat in it.

今午和同事共進午餐，首次到訪香港華美粵海酒店內的精伶吧。酒吧以英國菜為主打，格局亦富英倫風味，除餐桌稍稍矮一點外，用餐環境都算舒適。雖然是午市旺場時段，但食客少之又少，究竟問題何在呢？午市套餐有三款選擇，款式不多，亦不算特別吸引。沙律餐湯二選一，以一客忌廉菜湯作頭盤，西蘭花口味雖重，但整體味道仍屬淡口，滑感亦只屬一般。配上的麵包一點也不熱，也要扣分。主食 Spaghetti Aglio e Olio，以橄欖油、香蒜、辣椒調味，面上加入少許芝士。一碟純粹意粉，感覺難免單調乏味。老老實實，為何不考慮多拼一些海鮮肉食？就意粉本味而言，味道以蒜蓉最為搶味，並掛上一份辣感。為了增加意粉香滑度，廚師引入大量橄欖油，膩感重了一點。熱咖啡加奶後質感挺柔順，啡香亦濃。甜品雪糕是芒果、椰子及菠蘿三色口味，面上加入朱古力醬，普通喇！雖然餐廳用餐環境不錯，但食物卻有頗大改善空間，難怪人流很少。

也許時移世易,換了廚師?網上有這麼多好評,真的匪夷所思..多少年,沒吃過水準如此不濟的西餐.香港可算美食之都,在灣仔的黃金地段,知名的蘇格䔵酒吧,居然供應這等水平食物,是在侮辱顧客?朋友預先告之The Canny Man食物一般,不過勝在清靜,適合聚舊傾談.現在知道為何會如此清靜了..這可不是一般,而是一般以下..中午十二時多來到,沒有幾枱顧客,沒多少"精明的男人",酒吧是以運動為主題,很一般性裝潢,咖綠主調,原木傢俬皮梳化.我們點了set lunch.朋友是和嚐了湯一口,像洽菜水加少許茄膏..主菜,雞胸烹調過老,又實又硬,沒有醬汁,配菜白煮沒調味,薯條不過不失..我點了和雜菜面有數條X妹火腿絲,salad dressing不足.烤肉有三片,超硬超'鞋',用刀义切到手攰,𡁻到牙輭,這真是一個紀錄,倒數灣仔吃過最差食物首位.最後的雪糕沒什麼可說,椰子芒果,是雀巢吧;至於杯咖啡最正常,Lavazza.沒辦法,即使朋友請食飯,只有説聲不好意思,真的很難吃~~我們也是canny man,所以下次不要再來鳥~~
