Snake soup is a popular Cantonese delicacy which is typically savoured in winter, as it enhances your Qi (氣, meaning your energy) according to traditional Chinese medical experts. It’s usually served with condiments of shredded lemon leaves and fried dough, which add much flavour, aroma and texture to the soup. I often also order a bowl of steamed glutinous rice with cured meat when I dine in this restaurant. Btw, no worries about the hygiene of snake soup, because they aren’t caught in the wild
