Located on Gold Fish Street, this ice cream shop draws a crowd due to its ice cream making process which produces ice cream rolls! There were quite a bit of flavors to choose from including blueberry, strawberry, banana, chocolate, sesame, coffee and green tea. I ended up choosing the blueberry since I saw that they seem to use real blueberries in making the ice cream. Every ice cream comes with a topping of your choice which includes sprinkles, chocolate beans and various marshmallows.

Blueberry ($38) - I chose marshmallows with my ice cream which came with a dollop of whipped cream as well. The ice cream rolls had an interesting texture which was hard and chewy while the flavor of the blueberry could be stronger. I actually liked the texture because it was different than the usual but if you like your ice cream to be soft and creamy, then this ice cream is not for you. The portion was pretty big as well so while the price may seem a bit high, you can always share with someone else. [3.5/5]

見到團購有雪糕蛋卷($28=$56現金劵)覺得好特別所以就去試下下就2,3點好熱,但係跟住OPEN RICE個MAP尼行係唔岩嫁, 最後都係問人先知鋪頭好細, 不過都叫有個冷氣位俾你企係到食叫左一個士多啤梨雪糕蛋卷($38)&狗仔粉($27),雪糕蛋卷墳杷當然好, 口感同其他雪糕比較為廷身, 但係因為佢中間係空心, 就算加左D CREAM & topic一齊食都係有種空虛感味道方面不如預期 冇左雪糕應有的奶香味置於個狗仔粉,店員提醒我地可以自己再加菜脯初頭拎到碗狗仔粉個感覺都好核突因為真係好杰, 一PAT PAT咁,但食落真係唔錯, 加多D菜脯仲好味2個人空肚入去,好飽咁出番尼

見到雪國度用炒雪糕蛋卷做招牌,所以滿心歡喜抱住希望去試,點知勁失望。首先去到地方狹小,又只得一個店員喺度炒,等左成半個鐘先拎到杯炒雪糕。點左朱古力味,但係同我期望既都有幾大出入,無乜朱古力味又太creamy,個人唔認為值得花咁多時間去等。

友人看到團購有雪國度coupon二話不說就買下來, 為我們的覓食經費省下一筆雪國度主要售賣三種食物: 泰式雪糕蛋卷, 芝士撈烏冬, 與十八座crossover的狗仔粉第一次來的時候我們已食完lunch肚子容量有限, 只能買一個手抄雪糕卷share原價$37可選一款口味加一款配料我們這天的選擇是綠茶味加朱古力碎抹茶雪糕蛋卷 (原價$37) 7/10: 起初以為雪糕是內餡, 從店外櫥窗觀看才知道這道甜品的製法是在零下35度的不锈鋼版上快速炒着雪糕奶漿和所選材料(像我們選的就會加抹茶粉, 鮮果類的就會把鮮果剁碎混入漿內), 混合完畢後再把它鋪平, 待凝固後便切開數條再捲成蛋卷狀. 份量比我們想像中大, 綠茶味並不突出, 取而代之的是香濃的奶味, 口感煙煙韌韌, 要把它叉起來吃也甚有難度, 算是合格的特色甜品第二次去的時候選了芝麻口味, 芝麻味比綠茶較明顯, 雖然賣相比起綠茶味的為之失色, 但就味道而言我倆一致推介芝麻味呢~

抹茶雪糕蛋卷 (原價$37) 7/10: 起初以為雪糕是內餡, 從店外櫥窗觀看才知道這道甜品的製法是在零下35度的不锈鋼版上快速炒着雪糕奶漿和所選材料(像我們選的就會加抹茶粉, 鮮果類的就會把鮮果剁碎混入漿內), 混合完畢後再把它鋪平, 待凝固後便切開數條再捲成蛋卷狀. 份量比我們想像中大, 綠茶味並不突出, 取而代之的是香濃的奶味, 口感煙煙韌韌, 要把它叉起來吃也甚有難度, 算是合格的特色甜品

呢間雪糕一望埋去都見有 d 人排隊。。。以為好好食啦。。點知就中伏鳥第一咁多人係因為原來要等好耐我買完前面仲有四張單。。我足足等左半個鐘。冇錯係企足半個鐘。。已個cashier 係冇同我講過好啦算。。我等。。。。。。。終於有得食。我會expect 好食mcdonald 既軟雪糕。。不過係一樣味。。只係佢硬 d如果你想食雪糕。千祈唔好黎如果你想食手工。。既可以買黎睇下。。然後dum左杯雪糕!

Boyfriend, his sister and I came and decided to buy two ice cream flavors with my voucher.

It's a small shop with a shop window showing someone rolling ice cream. They had a few flavors such as strawberry, blueberry, chocolate, matcha and sesame. It included one topping and a squeeze of whipped cream. Price $38. I wanted strawberry but boyfriend said he didn't hear me so he ordered matcha and sesame. I did notice they used real frozen strawberries instead of strawberry powder to mash into the ice cream, so was kinda sad that he didn't hear my order for strawberry.

Anyways .... this is a video I took of them making the ice cream. Those familiar with Cold Stone Creamery (or even Holly Brown here in Hong Kong), they mash up ice cream with the various flavors on a frozen bench top. Snow Country does the same except they roll it in a roll at the end. Here's the video. I don't know how to upload it on OpenRice, so here's my link:

They also served other items that included cheese udon and Block 18's famous doggy style noodles. But honestly, I wouldn't order Block 18's noodles here as there was not seating room, just all standing. At least Block 18 had chairs and tables even if they didn't have air conditioning. And the original shop is close by anyways, so go get the real thing. These guys are just heating up what the original shop is just transporting over.

There was a bit of confusion with the orders as it became busy. The computer ordering system went down and they had several orders mixed up. At one point they made an extra order and they stood around confused as what to do next. It took 45 minutes for our order. I know they opened not too long but it seemed very disorganized so they have to work that out some how.

Ice cream texture was chewy and not smooth. It didn't feel very ice cream like. The whipped cream added was flavorless.

Sesame flavor had some sesame flavor. It was ok.

I don't think I'd return again for full price. Ice cream isn't very good. It's a nice gimmick, but it didn't work for me as the taste wasn't that good. Staff really need to work out being more organized if they expect it to be more busy.

都係一間賣ginmick既雪糕舖,以為啲雪糕係比一般既好食啲,但原來都係不外如是。唯一不同既係啲雪糕係個凍pan上炒,炒到啲雪糕凍到硬,如果無記錯好似話有-30度,係個雪糕比一般既硬同耐食,至於味道上個人認為係比麥記仲差。

其實都係睇d frd既ig先留意度呢間鋪,見行開旺角咪去試下lol。我本身打算食朱古力雪糕蛋卷,但係見芝士撈烏冬做緊promote都想試下。先講個雪糕蛋卷,真係一流,朱古力同d cream溝埋真係好香。同出面d一般雪糕唔同,雪糕溶完係仲有d奶香味,而唔係得番d水。一杯$38,不過真係抵過其他糖水鋪好多。但係個芝士撈烏冬就差d,芝士味都好重好吸引,不過d烏冬就差d lol,d芝士味入唔到去,不過$20都ok既。

連續兩日放工經過此店,都見到門口站了不少人。好奇又貪吃的我,忍不住走近八卦一下。手炒雪糕蛋卷,好像很有趣。隔著玻璃,可以看到店員一直炒個冇停手。先加所選味道的粉,再加奶漿,然一直炒。粉和奶混合後,逐漸變凍變硬。推成一大塊平鋪在板上,然後從左邊開始,由下而上刮起,便成一卷。不消3分鐘,就完成一個了。$38選一種味道加一個topping。我的綠茶雪糕蛋卷,擠上忌廉,最後灑上胚芽就成了。綠茶味淡到幾乎沒有,牛奶味較濃,味道只屬一般。口感非常幼滑,值得一讚,而且不太creamy,感覺較健康。創意無限,但味道上可以更好。

After I ordered I watched with curiosity to see how they made them.

Basically it is made the same way as the cold plate gelatos (stir fried icecream) except for the final step.

It is spread thinly on the cold plate until it freezes, then it is slowly scraped with the pan scraper which forms the icecream roll!!

The texture of these icecream rolls were chewy and sticky.
I should have opted for plain vanilla icecream because I found it quite sweet with the strawberry sauce.

Snow Country is owned by the owners of Gum "Jeng" which is why they are served in those paper bowls.

The icecream rolls cost $38 which is about right as I haven't seen them elsewhere in HK but for its Mong Kok location it would appear to be expensive compared to other desserteries around the area.

It is going to be the new craze for the time being but sadly it will probably be copied by other gelato places who have the equipment.

平時都係係opensnap到upload相,今次見呢間店係openrice到都無,所以決定將第一篇食評獻比”雪國度”。雪國度主打手炒雪糕蛋卷,全港首創。 由一班年輕人打理,店舖環境一眼望得曬, 有一個廚房(由玻璃可以見到年輕店員係到炒緊雪糕)。手炒雪糕蛋卷有7種味+ 一種topping (唔係好記得每一種,大約有mini-marshmallow, 熊仔marshollow,朱古力彩針等等) +忌廉可以選擇,門口ge店員話我知藍莓,香蕉同士多啤梨味雪糕蛋卷加入左果肉去炒,本身想選擇咖啡ge 因此改變主意,order左香蕉味+ mini-marshmallow試試。星期二ge 4點,唔算好多人, 等左大約5分鐘就到我。聞落去好香香蕉味。口感: 因為係抄雪糕ge 關係,所以比普通雪糕硬身,雪糕好凍,最岩大熱天時食。 唔會好易溶, 試過行到行人天橋先用叉吉d 蛋卷, 真係可以吉起完條蛋卷去身。味道: creamy, 濃香蕉味,食到有少少香蕉肉, 食落仲有淡淡奶香。 mini-marshmallow係正常ge marshmallow味道,無咩特別。忌廉係甜忌廉黎。 我自己覺得如果配d比較脆身ge

聞落去好香香蕉味。
口感: 因為係抄雪糕ge 關係,所以比普通雪糕硬身,雪糕好凍,最岩大熱天時食。 唔會好易溶, 試過行到行人天橋先用叉吉d 蛋卷, 真係可以吉起完條蛋卷去身。
味道: creamy, 濃香蕉味,食到有少少香蕉肉, 食落仲有淡淡奶香。 mini-marshmallow係正常ge marshmallow味道,無咩特別。忌廉係甜忌廉黎。 我自己覺得如果配d比較脆身ge topping 會襯d例如威化餅, kitkat, oreo等等。 甜忌廉就可有可無。

$38 per 1杯雪糕蛋卷,有創意亦都有誠意,支持本土製作!!! 雖然價錢唔算平,但值得呢個價錢, 因為炒過ge雪糕比普通雪糕凍d,口感上又比普通雪糕唔同, 唔係淨係sell gimmick。 ”雪國度” 仲有其他熱食, 好似係芝士烏冬, 最得意係見佢有得賣好出名ge 十八座狗仔粉,但因為我ge目光淨係放左係炒雪糕ge店員身上, 所以無深究到。
下次一定會再試下其他味!!! 推介大家去試下!!!!!!
少少意見: 1) 比雪糕客人時可以供應埋紙巾,始終行住食,有張紙巾會方便d。
2) 忌廉同topping 集中d擠係中間,唔好擠左係旁邊, 因為一開始唔知有忌廉, 食左一條先知,搞到好似雪糕同忌廉分開左黎食。
