曾幾何時,我每一次去到倫敦,聽見《Angus Steakhouse》這兩個字一定會色變。原因是什麼? 是因為年少時去過 Leicester Square 的一家同品牌的《Aberdeen Steakhouse》,吃了一餐令到的 "依牙鬆鋼" 既晚餐。再加上用餐後多年在網上看到該店的評價,令我覺得,當年的一餐是我食牛扒的人生最低點。所以,《Angus/Aberdeen Steakhouse》,對我來說,可以說是有好大既陰影。然而,有一天,同朋友說起在《Angus/Aberdeen Steakhouse》中過伏的趣事後,我在灣仔的 Brim 28 看到《Angus Steakhouse》,心知此《Angus Steakhouse》一定不同彼《Angus Steakhouse》,剛好有朋友找我食飯的一天,我專程來拜訪一下。 約了朋友中午一食,一人一份 today set lunch。點好餐之後,就端來一人一片的熱辣辣麵包。香噴噴的歐式麵包,內心軟軟的,入口也是帶少少香甜味。不需要牛酒,也不需要醋,就咁食,已經很香口。 是日的餐湯是一個很濃香的雜菜湯。濃,是因為湯加上了芝士;濃,也是因為湯的中央放了一舊很可愛的麵包。有少少來自芝士的 creamy 口感,有蕃茄的酸甜味,也有其他雜菜混合的香味,不錯。 牛扒,是西冷扒 (Grilled Sirloin Steak),看得出是充滿肉汁,很 juicy 的一塊扒。牛扒煎出來,肉的表面充滿了肉油肉汁的光澤。配菜有南瓜,有薯蓉,再加上蘑菇汁,感覺完美。而且,牛扒的肉汁,滲透到底,令配菜也充滿了可口的牛肉味,非常之美妙。 羊,是羊柳 (Baby Lamb Fillet),用上了蘑菇汁在配上南失及雜菜。而蘑菇汁內,早已混合了專配羊肉的薄荷醬,此醬興嫩滑的羊肉配合起來,的確是充滿味道。羊肉很嫩,帶有足夠而不濃烈的羊羶香,令間唔中會喜歡食羊的我得到了應有的小滿足。 朋友加點了是日甜品,是 Peach Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream。蛋糕帶有很香的桃味,我雖沒有食,但看得出是自家 home made 的出品。當日,我同朋友分一人一半的,而我就要了雪糕的那一部份。雪糕的奶油味道很香很重,非常好。 餐後,來一杯濃濃的咖啡,苦澀中帶甘香,是我最喜歡的種類。 此不同彼,此《Angus Steakhouse》是有足夠水準的。不過,在我執筆點評時,此名已經易名寫《Grill 28》,出品雷同。亦同是《Al Dente》既成員。

4 friends and I went to this restaurant for dinner last month around 8pm. The restaurant was not busy and so we were seated immediately. We have 5 people, and they seated us at a 4 person table and offered to add an additional chair . But we complained that it was too small to fit us all plus food. So the supervisor dragged a round table over to extend the table, but since this was an awkward seating for us 5 people, we asked if they could move the neighbouring rectangular table over. The supervisor was reluctant to help us and tried to convince us that the current arrangement was fine. The supervisor finally helped move the rectangular table over with our assistance after some debate. The supervisor then demanded us to move the tables back after our meal. What kind of service is this?!!! Was he disrespecting us because we are not westerners?! We then decided to leave, and all the supervisor said was 'up to you'. We were quite angry and ate the restaurant next door. We probably won't come back here again, but wish that you can train your staff better. I feel like we have better service at a local fast food restaurant or 'dai pai dong'! And this is supposed to be an upscale restaurant.

差不多一年沒有來了,對上一次是上年的情人節來的,從女朋友的身分變成了太太再來這裡享用午餐。可能是剛好遇上繁忙的午餐時段,在門口等侯了5分鐘左右,店員安排了一張沙發卡位給我們。午餐menu中,我們分別order 了一份西冷牛排、一份豬扒。下單後沒多久,店員就為我們送上餐湯&餐包今日係甘筍湯,好濃郁,吃起來啖啖甘筍蓉好清甜。接下來主菜來了,我的西冷牛排五成熟,炭燒味很香,肉質保持到嫩又多汁,配菜都係冇得頂,烤南瓜、紅蘿蔔、彩椒、西蘭花,底下再有薯蓉,全部都好好味老公那份豬扒也十分好吃,肉質鮮嫩配菜也很好吃最後還有這個甜品結尾,估唔到跟餐的甜品都咁出色,香蕉蛋糕+雲呢拿雪糕,個香蕉蛋糕做法係好似提拉米蘇非常精緻

年三十仲要開工, 個個都出去飲茶/中菜食團年lunch, 所以我哋決定食個西餐實有位, 三里屯西餐選擇多, 睇過menu比較過價錢及款式後對Angus較有興趣, 3個course都係$118起, 未逗利是都係要慳住荷包. 第一次幫襯, 之前無做research這餐廳既來頭/食評, 食完之後才知道原來是Al dente group, 唔怪得pasta比steak出色. Menu選擇多, Main分別有意粉, 意大利雲吞, 魚, 牛, 羊. Starter可選湯/沙律, Caesar Salad沙律菜爽脆, 醬汁味道剛好, 唯獨欠煙肉碎.Today pasta: "Crab Meat Tomato pasta". 心大心細揀steak 定pasta時, 當我這個蟹痴一聽到today pasta係蟹肉.....即揀呢個. 蟹肉雖然不多, 但扁麵彈牙, 簡單用橄欖油, 白酒, 蒜頭加車厘茄炒香已好惹味, 份量夠大食得好滿足. 果然係Al dente group出品, 意粉最穩陣.同事揀西冷, 厚度似肉眼, 賣相吸引, $136抵喎. 不過食後才知牛扒不可隨便試, 雖則炭燒味濃, 但肉質真係太乾, 放涼後仲乾, 見同事咀嚼好耐先可吞下. 第3個course我哋無揀甜品, 見到鄰枱的是乾爭爭既蛋糕配雪糕實在不太吸引, 加上我們食完main已好飽.
