朋友一早預約了這餐廳,預訂時說明了會開一支酒。對方如常告訴我朋友兩個人開瓶免收開瓶費,朋友已經re-confirm問清楚平安夜也是免收開瓶費?對方答是,並且清楚說明我們可以考慮比多點小費。去到店子,拿了瓶酒出來,一名外籍女士員工(應該她是經理或者是老闆的女朋友?)過來,跟我們說要$250開瓶費。我清楚道出之前已經跟你的員工清楚溝通,他答應了不需開瓶費我們才帶酒過來的。她說是要$250開瓶費的,我清楚告知她餐廳員工清楚在電話說明並且告訴我們可以考慮多加點小費,她說:that’s impossible, I will never say this (冇可能,我從來唔會這麼說。) 她語氣很沒有禮貌,很mean.我很驚訝,但我禮貌回覆她那等我朋友來再說吧。在等朋友時,中國籍侍應過來跟我說今天不需收開瓶費第二支就要收,那我就很自然覺得他們(中國籍員工跟那外籍女士)已經溝通了。那我就說好吧那麻煩你幫我開。開了不過一會,看見這個中國籍員工跟那個外籍女士在門外傾了一陣子,之後中國籍員工走過來說今天要開瓶費,是他之前搞錯了很對不起。我們很無奈因為那一刻我們已把酒開了。但覺得那位外籍女士非常不禮貌(語氣上

我來餐廳是為了跟朋友好好吃一頓飯,開心是最重要,為什麼要受你氣? 這樣的待客服務,我會比負分。超級負評。
我不會再來的了
也請各位小心考慮是否會來。因為那位外籍女士真的非常不禮貌非常mean。不肯定她是否對所有國籍的人也是這樣。我只知道食飯要受氣的餐廳,正常人不應該幫襯。

French desserts never disappoint. 個BROWNIE夠熱如果唔係就好腻 濃濃既朱古力味令成件事CHRISTMAS左好WARM 不過相比味道直截了當既BROWNIE 我更加 中意岩岩焗起既MADELEINE果種放入口 陣陣既檸檬味 牛油味慢慢透過咀嚼而散發出黎既感覺 雖然MADELEINE有跟雪糕營造到另一個口感但係原味實在更吸引



  
題外話/補充資料: 員工全部唔係香港人除左一個姨姨 聽到姨姨講英文果種從容同自然我真心RESPECT!

疫情之下,每枱只坐到兩人,坐滿都只係做到一半生意,但法式小店氣氛甚好。 前菜煎帶子好香好軟熟,但完全冇伴碟情況下上菜(一隻瓦碟放兩粒帶子),仲以為係偷食人哋碟餸?主菜要short ribs, 又淋又入味,薯容又滑。如果份量多1/3 會更好,尤其咁好味甜品porfiterlos,鬆軟泡芺配雲尼拿雪糕,仲有濃濃的黑朱古力醬!總之一個人叫兩碟啦上菜較慢,差D餓親。服務好㗎!當晚有枱惡客呼喝外藉店員要求換枱,其實都有d影響我心情,外藉店員都不甘示弱,拎走佢哋份餐牌,結果果枱客人自己搬枱。店員都廢事攪大件事,揾其他店員招呼惡客。我覺得店員EQ高,大家應互相尊重囉!

This was not on the menu and we managed to secure their final plate before they ran out, and needless to say, it was definitely worth the rush! Fresh, well seasoned and cooked to perfection, love that briny sweetness and bouncy texture, recommend!

🦆 Starter: Homemade Duck Rillette on Toast

This is similar to pulled duck meat served with toast. Given how fragrant it was, the duck meat was probably cooked in a generous amount of duck fat and its flavours reminded me of that iconic duck confit sandwich I used to get every time I went to borough market in London! Served with a very crispy toast, a relatively heavier starter for a hungry day 😎

🐠 Main: Seabass in papillote with lemon, tomatoes and leeks

The fish was cooked by wrapping it in a piece of parchment paper to create a steaming effect. The meat was juicy and tender, with a buttery lemon sauce. Wouldn’t call it a healthy dish given the amount of butter used, but delicious regardless!

Their roasted chicken was cooked to perfection! Incredibly juicy and tender, it was definitely a winner! And just look at those beautiful golden potatoes! Highly recommend!

🦞 Main: Maine Lobster Linguine with Shellfish Bisque Sauce (add HKD 60)
Love the briny, fresh, sweet flavour of the shellfish bisque sauce, a nice change from the typical lobster bisque. The lobster meat has a bouncy texture and pasta was al dente (A little too hard and chewy for my liking though). Definitely worth trying as part of their lunch set, way cheaper than a la carte!

This was my favourite among all the other mains, the pork loin was incredibly juicy and tender, with a lovely smokey grilled flavour!🥰Worth paying extra for! It doesn’t come with any carbs though, so might not be enough for a guy🙈

🧁Dessert: Freshly Baked Madeleines, Chocolate Mousse
This was amazing!! Their madeleines are served fresh out of the oven, with a slightly crispy exterior and that light, fluffy texture with a touch of citrus flavour from the lemon zest, I was totally blown away! It came with a dark chocolate mousse with hints of tangy bitterness, I absolutely loved!

I started with the madeleine first, and ate spoonfuls of chocolate mousse in between, it was heavenly!🥰

🍨Dessert: Profiteroles with Vanilla Ice Cream
Profiteroles with ice cream is so much better than with plain whipped cream. It was served with a chocolate sauce on the side, way sweeter than the dark chocolate mousse and way too sweet eaten on its own, but perfect for a drizzle on the profiteroles! Still prefer the madeleines though, coming next!🙈

擂沙:從九如坊到西環,這家店還是依樣充滿著法國風情。我向阿林推介這裡的海鮮菜式,絕對不會令人失望。久沒再遇的香草焗田螺 ($120) 還是依樣香口,帶子 ($180) 煎得半熟,鮮甜但外皮未完全煎得焦脆,沒有其他材料配搭,稍為單調。龍蝦意粉 ($260) 是令我再次光顧的原因,麵條伴著濃郁似湯的蝦殻醬汁實在鮮味,龍蝦肉都有六七件,形狀較纖細但肉質爽脆,不過今次略嫌溫度未夠熱燙,吃得不夠痛快。阿林:法國藍青口 ($280) 來自聖米歇爾山,體型較小,但也份外甘甜。簡單以蕃茄、韭蔥等烹煮,清甜湯底下彌漫白酒香氣。搭配薯條是經典組合,不過我們都認為配合麵包用以蘸湯汁會更適合。壓軸登場的是Madeleine ($100)。從外觀看,可以說是完美。表面有著均勻的金黃色,圓拱形的山丘膨脹得漂亮飽滿。外層起了薄薄的脆皮,裡面卻超級輕盈鬆軟,入口即化。塗抹些忌廉,增添濕潤和果香。要品嚐美味的Madeleine,時間絕對是關鍵。即焗即上桌,趁著熱騰騰的時候放進口。不消數分鐘吃完,但這滋味絕對值得15分鐘的等待。

最近西環最火熱的食肆, 可說是以成本價享受餐酒的法式食肆Batard吧! 它所提供的法國菜式, 其實是原於附近的Bistro du Vin. 這家法國菜餐廳, 從名字Bistro可以見到, 它走的是住家菜路線, 沒有很花巧的烹調技巧, 就是傳統而直接的做法, 菜式的味道也是較原粹, 像是頭盤的鴨肉絲多士, 鴨肉絲加上鴨油帶我出其咸羶香味, 份量多到可以將其放在餐前餐包之上, 麵包比多士更能吸收鴨油呢! 主菜是烤北海道豬扒配青豆草菇, 樸實無華的一道菜, 烤豬扒的火候控制得相當出色, 外面微微焦香, 內裡保持粉嫩的外覲和口感, “好吃”就是最直接的形容詞. 至於青豆和草菇煮出來完全沒有草腥味, 柔和而自然的甜鹹香味是主菜的好伴侶. 甜品Madeleine是新鮮焗製的, 上碟時還熱呼呼, 外面口感酥脆, 內裡鬆化帶空氣感, 又是一餐簡單但相當飽足的午餐. 如果大家在晚飯時間光顧, 定必要品嚐它的牛骨髓以及馬賽魚湯, 一定不會令你失望的!

After the drinks at The Wilshire Bar🍸, we went to Bistro Du Vin! It is a little bistro at the centre of Davis Street in Kennedy Town, with less than 20 tables. They have a classic French decoration and the atmosphere is relatively casual🍽 . At the entrance, they have a wooden bar counter and high tables.


We arrived at around 8:30pm which was their 2nd seating. We planned to order the 𝘿𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙍𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚, 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙊𝙭 𝙏𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚 and 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬. Unfortunately, all of them had been sold out on that day 🥺🥺🥺 These are all my favourite😭 Really sad..

You may find less attractive from the outlook of the prawns🦐, they were aromatic grilled, unshell except head and tail, and really really really tasty!!!! But the dish was around Hk$200 with five prawns, which was a bit pricy. 💸


Seeing many customers had brought their own bottle of wine. Unfortunately, we didn’t🥺. They were having BYOB offer at that time, one bottle for 3pax, two bottles for 5pax (not sure if it is still ongoing). We ordered two glasses of red wine during the meal🍷. The staff was helpful as well!!


Overall experience was great! I may come back for their duck rillette, tongue👅 and bone marrow! Most important to make sure they are available / preorder in advance🤣.

Recommended by colleague and tried this small restaurant near coast on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The ceiling was very high and environment was very relaxing. Due to pandemic, tables were kept at 1.5m distance from each other.Ordered lunch set and a bottle of white wine for a chilled weekend.The soup and appetiser, prawn, were great. But the main course, chicken and fried fish were not as good as the soup nor appetiser.Sorry to say the main dish quality is similar to fast food restaurant. I

Ordered lunch set and a bottle of white wine for a chilled weekend.

The soup and appetiser, prawn, were great.
But the main course, chicken and fried fish were not as good as the soup nor appetiser.

Sorry to say the main dish quality is similar to fast food restaurant. I would rather get more soup or prawn or clams which we didn’t order (we saw other people eating and they looked great)

White wine was kept in good condition in iced bucket by waitresses. Service was good.

In the midst of covid-19, restaurants are offering promotions for dine-in and take away; this one is doing a 2-course and 3-course promotion at $178 & $198.Starter - the onion soup was not bad and I wish it was richer in taste; the prawn was served without anything else but it was tasty so no complain at all.Main -  the lobster linguini is a tasty choice (extra $60), the chicken leg, despite the small portion,  was so tender and juicy plus the heavenly rich and smooth mashed potato that gave an

Dessert - The madeleines turned out to be the highlight of the meal, it came out fresh and hot while it's soft inside and crunchy on the side.
