This was my second time here, both times were great weekday lunch experiences indeed!Because this place is quite hidden (at the end of the lane) so there was not much of a wait to get seats. The waiters were friendly and casual, they greeted customers well and were helpful. Food gets ordered at the cashier and the girl at the cashier knew the menu well enough to make recommendations and suggestions for making combos (to save you $). Came here for dinner with some friends after checking out the awesome Invader exhibit at PMQ. I was interested in this place for the following reasons: funky name (who wouldn't love the name boom boom boom shack!) and cool fake food truck decor.Layout is cool. Overall Verdict: Overpriced, underwhelming food. A friend and I ordered 3 things: the Lazyhunter tacos, Char Siu tacos, and of course, the beetroot fries given our recent obsession with them.  After ordering at the counter, we were served at our table in a timely manner but were left greatly disappointed by what lay in front of us.  My friend had the LazyHunter and for $98, it came with 2 small tacos filled with edamame, okra, and some fried tofu. We were pretty excited about going to Boomshack and really wanted it to be good.  Unfortunately, I was not.The service was very friendly and the girls who took our order and served us, were very nice and accommodating.  The food, however, did not live up to the service.We ordered some beet fries, a chicken waffle and sme char siu tacos.The good - the fries.  These were good.  Crispy and sweet, they hit the spot.  The pathetic thimble of sauce that they came with was utterly insufficient though.
