This is my first review ever. I had always wanted to try out this cafe but it turned out to be a big disappointment. Saw quite a lot of comments about its unfriendly service, but I still wanted to give it a go. Don't bother to walk up to this creepy street for a rudeness. Standard coffee and bakery is not fresh from oven with overnight taste. Horrible service and never seen such rudeness and training needed. Shame on HK service industry. Will never go back or recommend anyone.

Went to the cafe this afternoon with the intention of grabbing some lunch and coffee. The girl at the counter was incredibly rude. No greeting or acknowledgement when i entered the cafe. I asked for a menu and tried to order, but then was rudely told that they didn't have the item I wanted (which was fine) then the girl grabbed the menu from me and gave me a different one. She then proceeded to completely ignore me when I tried to order again. Food was served in cheap looking disposable white paper box. Staff not communicating, stern-faced, and split coffee without apologizing. Service quality was really low.  Lots of mosquitoes in the surrounding. not very hygienic. Overall experience: cafe deadend, never again.

We ordered house bagel, latte and orange juice. The salmon in the bagel was artificially colored dark purpose - strange indeed and maybe to disguise the staleness? Bagel and salads were served in a cheap white paper box which looked very low quality. Outside seating arrangement was not pleasant at all - there were a lot of mosquitoes flying around. Staff was half-assed, extremely unfriendly and unhelpful: non-communicative, low-energy, careless and clumsy - she split coffee without apologizing!

I appreciate good quality, but 95HKD for a small piece of apple tart is never worth it. Rethink your prices and I'll consider it, maybe once in 6 months. I bought it so that I could write an accurate review. Don't waste your money at this place, as nice as the "idea of it" is.

突然被朋友問起吃早餐去哪兒好，找了好多間也是早上11時左右才開。幸好這家cafe deadend是9點半就開門了，早早和朋友來這兒吃。店的位置離鐵路站有點遠，但是很值得，因為店真的好美，外頭的位子都是雲石造的。但是外面就算是self serve，店家不會用碟幫你盛食物，一切都要自己處理，吃完垃圾要自己丟哦！首先先來了飲品，和友人一人一杯飲品，我的熱latte有拉花哈哈飲下去味道比較nutty，而且挺滑。House Bagel除了有bagel外，還有用紅菜頭淹過的三文魚，配上cream cheese，十分的配合。份量十足，三文魚鮮甜亦有特色，而cream cheese不會過甜。Cinnamon French Toast有點過甜，不適合早餐吃但在外國好像早餐也是會吃french toast的。配上水果和糖漿，整個french toast的外表十分精緻，但是味道並未如理想。多士包身偏厚偏硬，沒想像中的軟度，而且蛋香味不算濃。

位置坐落一角，環境清靜，好舒服。但坐位與坐位之間就太接近了，隔離左右講野都聽到哂，冇辦法啦，香港真係寸金尺土……悠悠閒係12點半前坐低左，個menu有幾款食物係before 12:30, 就當然試試啦~Poached eggs with prosciutto 查實係egg Benedict, 材料都幾豐富，唔使講梗係蛋啦 ，仲有param ham, 少少沙律菜。蛋:流心，有蛋香，切落去同Parma ham +面包一啖過，層次豐富，有蛋香有火腿咸香，但個面包就失色喇，唔香包味仲有啲un…切到底層個包係需要用啲力量同時間去切先切得開的……Parma ham, 有筋位就好un, 咬唔開咁滯……Apple pie準備緊既時候已經聞到好香既味道，即焗，醒神~上碟靚仔，唔會over cook, 個面係焗到金黃色。蘋果一片片，加埋有啲陪碟nuts, 有點似oreo餅碎，少少雪糕，蘋果味軟身nuts脆脆雪糕冰凍，好味道！pie底好香酥又脆，一個人食哂成個pie都唔覺滯！

Not usually one to write reviews, but waiting an hour for a kale salad which required no cooking whatsoever, and seeing four other tables, who arrived after us, receive all their food and drinks before us, two of which managed to finish their meal and leave before our kale salad arrived, is really pushing limits. 店鋪分室內和室外，我地選了坐室外，誰知原來坐室外店員是不會serve 我們～但室內和室外只是幾步之差.眼見室內我人店員都是為客人遞上食身，但我們都是自己入店鋪裡自己拿...都沒關係..可是我們走入店內問店員拿玻璃碟，但店員連玻璃碟都不容許我們拿出去...室內所用我餐具是金屬的，但我們室外就是用木叉木刀...我們切burger...連叉都爛埋....態度真的很強差人意...怎麼店員對店內和店外的態度是2種態度？

I've been to Cafe Deadend a few times and I've always liked their breakfast/brunch food. It was my first time coming here for lunch today and it was an absolute disappointment! It wasn't that busy when we arrived (around 1:30pm) so we were immediately seated. My husband ordered the Fried Nordic Shrimp (HKD$95) and I had the Kale Salad with Crab Meat (HKD$120). 終於試左想黎好耐既cafe deadend~ 由九如坊行到黎係個咁熱既天氣真係行到大汗搭細汗～ 黎到戶內竟然無位～ 差d想試第二間😮 好彩朋友仔未到～ 咁就等下先啦～等左十五分鐘終有位！入到去冷氣好凍～ 正！諗左陣叫左個b.e.l.t同ice mocha! 食物真係好唔錯～ 好彩無走！b.e.l.t. 係一個局到外包好脆，但係面包又好鬆軟既包，夾住沙洋菜、生蕃茄、煙肉同太陽蛋既包，先唔講賣相100分，本身都無諗住影相，見到個樣咁靚都忍唔住拎手機出黎影低！食落所有食材都好新鮮！係個煙肉有d太油！Mocha都唔錯，唔會太甜，而且唔會好多冰，飲到尾溶到得反兩粒冰但仍然唔會好水咁～朋友叫左金槍魚沙律同 Americano, 都話好好食～ 睇反人地話bagel 同 apple tart 都好食～ 下星期六再戰不過一提，呢度坐得好唔舒服，位好迫又有蚊仔咬....Anyway, 寫左幾次食評openrice都話我太少相delete我po, 得一個人真係食唔到咁多野～ 希望今次登到☺️

這個出差前的星期天...讓自己來個自然醒...慢活一下...儲備足夠能量準備對抗艱苦的差旅 出門時已經是下午的2:00...不想走太遠...便來到上環的普慶坊...這個地帶可以說是旺中帶靜的, 從上環拾級上來, 不需10分鐘的路程, 這個寧靜的地方早已被不同特色的小食店及精品點進駐, 週末總是擠滿人...在死角的一棟白色建築物...是個面積不大的小小咖啡店...玻璃門全打開後...變得十分開揚...室內的位置只能容下幾張小枱...幸而室外亦能放下幾組戶外用的餐桌椅...每組餐桌還加上了太陽傘...3月底的天氣蠻舒適的, 坐在室外感覺不錯, 店員過來送上小小的餐牌...是一條長長紙條摺疊成的...拉開餐牌看看...都是以salad及sandwish為主的食物...咖啡的選擇亦多...店員解釋說因為室外的地方不納入咖啡店的範圍...坐在室外的客人需要自行購買食物後...再自行拿到室外的座位.... 食物的選擇不算太多...我選了個House Bagel($115)及Mocha($45), 食物準備好的時候, 店員會通知客人去領取, 因為坐室外及不是店的範圍, 盛載食物及飲品的
