Chez Moi (已結業)

Perhaps this Chez Moi is not the one that we knew several years ago - it has changed from a "French" restaurant to a "European" restaurant. It's expensive but not deserving. The apetitizers are overcooked and so are the main dishes. There's not even a knife for cutting fishes - we used a knife for steak to cut salmon fillet! We wouldn't expect this level of service at a restaurant at this price range.

This restaurant are recommended by many food writers. I check it out this week. I was really really really disappointed. Chez Moi has reopened after a revamp in the menu. The old chef left the restaurant and now 2 young chefs run it. The menu has changed as well to Modern French. You can have either 3 courses or 4 courses. The food is great. It's not like most HK restaurants where you get the main ingredient and some salads on the side. The food is not bad, but not very good as well. May be this is because not very suitable to Chinese people. But the price is really very expensive.

One of the best French restaurant I tried. They just only have set dinner/lunch. It should be around 500hkd/200hkd per head. The food is excellent and the environment is very good too. Food is typical southern French style. Home feel like. Service is very good. However, the price is quite steep but worth for money. It is around 1800hkd for two persons if you open a wine. Highly recommended!! Must try.

A typical French cooking restaurant, romantic setting with candles and meny rotate every week on regional French cookings. The menu is set either a four course or six courses. However, the alcohol lic. is not yet ready at our visit tonite and you can bring your own bottles. Enjoyed all the dishes and the standard of cooking is above average. Lacking some fine touches around the finishes but worth the $$$ spent. Well done to Chez Moi and will definitely go again when they have the new menu up. &
