團購瘋系列 -- 聽說法國人很喜愛吃 Crêpe,不論是鹹的甜的,都百吃不厭,總之每天也要吃過才安樂,狂熱程度甚至去到無 Crêpe 不歡的地步。嘩!是真的嗎?聽來確有點不可思議。早前筆者就見有網站推出以團購價 $39,享用位於灣仔船街的 「Kramp House」 之法國班戟套餐,見價錢那麼相宜,於是也買了 2 張優惠券,決定拉老公來一起感受吓這些法式口味。據說店子之所以取名「Kramp House」是由於 Kramp 的全寫是 Krampouz, 即等同法文裏的 Crêpe,店名又改得幾貼題喎。兩口子為了避開午市的人潮,預先定了週三下午兩點來用餐,不過由於交通十分暢順,二人比預約的時間提早了 15 分鐘到達,幸好原來店子裡一點也不擠廹,室內只有兩檯顧客,真好,筆者就是最喜愛在這般寧靜舒適的環境下用餐。老公率先選了張靠牆的椅桌坐下,由於份班戟套餐已 pre-set 為最傳統口味的 Complete, 即火腿芝士蛋,另加小吃及汽水各一,所以安頓後,交出優惠券,店員亦沒再奉上餐牌,那二人就安心等吃好了。候餐其間,細意欣賞一吓四周環境,原來這間走新派藝術茶座路線的薄餅店,內裡裝潢也頗新穎,除了以極搶眼的紅色餐桌,配襯上銀色金屬椅子來吸引食客的視線外,就連牆上也掛有摩登多角形的玻璃鏡,集輕鬆簡約與時尚格調於一身。說回這個班戟套餐,除了一客鹹薄餅外,還包一小碗的核桃沙律或薯蓉,既然有 2 個餐,當然是每款餐前小吃也各選一份。先講個伴以黑醋汁的核桃沙律,講真個沙律都做得幾 hea 吓,蔬菜種類只得生菜一款,連一般沙律慣常會配備的車厘茄、火箭菜等都完全欠奉,而且合桃肉亦少得可憐,尤幸撕成一小片、一小片的生菜,入口還算新鮮爽脆,黑醋汁亦夠酸甜醒胃,不過整體味道都只是一般。至於這客熱辣辣的薯蓉,吃來味道淡淡的,相信內裡是完全沒下過任何調味料,而且入口質感雖仍算軟綿,但就有欠粉糯,加上沒放牛奶及牛油的薯蓉,香滑度始終有所缺失,不過若從感受食物的原汁原味這角度來看,這客薯蓉確是薯味十足,要是用來配搭濃味的肉食,肯定會吃得更為愜意。終於輪到我最期待的班戟,據說法式薄餅原是法國北部 Brittany 的地道食物,有鹹有甜,鹹的以蕎麥粉做外皮,叫 Galette,而甜的仍是叫 Crêpe,餅皮則改用麵粉炮製。可惜是次團購套餐只供應一款鹹的,否則兩人各選一鹹一甜,就更完美了。至於這次的鹹薄餅 Complete, 用上蕎麥加入海鹽和水做粉漿炮製,薄薄的班戟夾著火腿和芝士,中間還加了隻太陽蛋,賣相算唔錯,材料十足一份 all day breakfast, 而且當女侍由吧檯那邊把班戟拿過來時,老遠已傳來濃濃的蛋香。先用刀叉戳破蛋黃,再慢慢品嘗這份深啡色的薄餅,嗯,蛋香味的確唔錯,不過麥味就並非如傳說般那樣香濃,而且邊皮位軟腍腍的,香脆度亦不高,其實是頗令人失望的,幸而夾著火腿的部份,入口煙韌得來又帶點鹹香,不過這就是真的 「Authentic French Crêpes」 嗎? 至於老公的食後評語就是:「還是街頭的格仔餅來得更美味好吃啊!」

歐債危機越攪越大, 依家輪到意大利, 港股祇好繼續坐過山車, 真嚇人, 我就唯有繼續睇團購。 買咗 Kramp House 嘅團購, 佢間舖有 high ceiling, 設計有歐洲味, 行人路旁嘅門全開後, 舒服開揚, 櫈係用銀色不銹鋼, 而枱就係紅色, 幾搶眼。睇見有 comments 話佢哋嘅 Crepes 唔正宗, 小弟曾歐遊幾次, 但冇食過 Crepes, 所以祇好不予置評, 而我對 Kramp House 嘅食後感就係"幾好食"。個 Le Complete, 皮就"趣趣地", ham 就微鹹, 加上 sunny side up 蛋 嘅"滑" Oh, what a good mix! 至於薯蓉, 就好 natural, 係冇添加嘅薯仔味及天然嘅質感。Like!服務方面, 全屬英語侍應, 雖然唔係無微不至, 但係爽快有禮。 結論 : 我唔知佢算唔算正宗, 但我覺得佢幾好食喎!

On a Saturday's sunny afternoon, after I had a thorough dential check-up at Wanchai, my mother and I began to search for a restaurant that we discovered at the groupon website. Thanks to Groupon, we were about to explore something new and refreshing again!Kramp House, a short but precise name. I especially like it - simple and straightforward. No fanciness was given, but the word 'House' added a sense of coolness and youngness into the image of the restaurant. Perfect! Walking into the restaurant, it was quite a refreshing scenery to me. Similiar to the name of the restaurant, the inner-decoration did not require any excessive items to decorate the restaurant. Instead, it used still colours such as red for tables and silver for chairs. White walls, mini blackboard and chalks for stand-up menus and black lamps for lit-up on the wall to give a sense of the 80s-90s. Everything so simple and quiet, just the right thing for a place of French Crepes.The Groupon offer that my mother and I purchased included a can of soft drink, an appetizer and a Savory galette complete. First came the can of soft drink and an appetizer - I ordered mash potato and my mother ordered salad. The mash potato was finely mashed, and flavoured. It was not too salty but it had a slight taste of salt and pepper. It was a light appetizer that one could ask for. As for the salad, my mother liked it a lot as the pieces of lettuce were very refresh and cool, nicely blended with the vinegar sauce. The soft drinks were just out of the fridge - making them cool and chilled to drink. Next arrived the maindish, the highlight of the Groupon offer, the Savory galette complete! This savory crepe contained a sunny-side up and slices of hams and cheddar cheese as in the ingredients. It was very attractive just to look at it.....and how did it taste? Well, on my first and second bites of the crepes..frankly, I was disappointed. As I continued to have my third and the fourth bites (and so on)..I felt more discouraged to go on! One, it was way, way TOO SALTY! It was weird that the plate that my mother had was less saltier than mine. Mine was very salty that I couldn't finish my plate after I had a few bites Two, the crepe was rather cold and hard, given that it had a thin layer, it felt like I was chewing a piece of 'overnight pizza crust' that was not crusty but chewy instead.Third, the flavour of the sunny-side up did not match with the crepe, and a bit bizzare when mixing with the slices of hams. I felt like I was eating..something of a breakfast but a French crepe breakfast? Oh gosh I had no idea...All in all, I really wonder if my experience here in the Kramp House was truly an authentic French crepe journey as I did not feel any slight moment of the authenticness at all...my plate of Savory galette complete was quite, depressing. I was not full, obviously, after my meal. There were a lot of things to improve on, in the menu especially. - Y

這裡已開了好1個時間..............oct 05, 11...........4人來dinner...........叫咗 :1) ice lemon tea x 3 (hk$28)-很細杯,亦很淡茶味2) green salad, tomatoes, walnut (hk$30)-菜只有iceberg lettuce,種類少咗d,不過勝在爽脆,新鮮-再有幾片番茄同少少合桃肉-伴以黑醋汁,酸酸哋,都ok3) croque monsieur (hk$76)-ham, cheese, sunny side up egg, bechamel sauce-上枱時,熱度將香氣迫了出來-個皮沒煎到脆嘅口感,邊位都唔脆-不過熱溶咗嘅芝士同蛋汁,火腿混埋1齊食,真喺好好味4) saint jacques bechamel ($125)-scallop, creme fraiche, bechamel sauce, smoked lardons, lemon, cheese-帶子有5粒,每個corner同中間都有,但沒多突出-上網check creme fraiche,佢喺1種sour cream,不過無美式嗰隻咁酸-而bechamel sauce,就喺1種白汁5) supreme saucisse (hk$88)-sausage, onions, sunny side up egg, cheese-還是喜歡有太陽蛋喺中間嘅鹹crepe-佢同croque monsieur好似,只喺鹹度因個腸嘅關係,所以鹹d6) caramel (hk$54)-homemade caramel with salted butter-這裡嘅caramel醬,甜咗些少-鹹牛油味唔夠,所以食落只有焦糖嘅甜味7) oh la la (hk$88)-chocolate, banana, whipped cream, almonds, vanilla ice cream-雪糕1望就見到鬆散不堪,而且仲食到大大粒嘅冰碎..........唔得- 蕉片同杏仁片不多,所以味道上就喺食到朱古力sauce同whipped cream-雖是店內嘅recommended甜品,但未見突出* waitress無嘜笑容............但佢哋個serving標準都好高............我哋分開咗幾rounds叫..........佢哋堅持每食完1round,就同我哋每人換過晒碟同刀叉................very gd* 佢嘅鹹crepe好過甜的............家裡還有1張透過團購買的coupon未用* 現在灣仔區就有2間食法式crepe..............不過我還是喜歡早開嗰間...............雖然真喺要等耐好多...........但出嚟嘅crepe喺真喺脆d

I bought the groupons for a lunch set and made a reservation last week. When I arrived in the restaurant, they said they dont have my record for reservation. I told them I already made a reservation and she said "I don't have your reservation on my record." I said to her "I already made it last week, if you dont have it there recorded properly, thats your problem." She then asked "when did you make the reservation?". I said " sometime last week"She went "we only released the coupons last Wednesday. Oh well, never mind, you are sitting here already.I have to let you in. But dont do it again NEXT TIME!!" I was so pissed off. It's all their fault. They dont keep my booking details properly and it's not my job to make sure that they have all the information written down properly. Then we ordered the food and she was showing a very horrible face to us. We had a crepe, it's nothing special... no suprise and it's not tasty at all... Quite disgusting actually... with the raw egg in the middle of it ... IT's tasteless and the crepe was COLD! Throughout the whole time there, the waitress really wanted to show us that they want us to leave asap. We finished the crepe and the took the plates away immediately. We were then drinking canned soft drinks that they gave us, which is a bit cheap and odd to be drinking canned soft drinks in a restaurant rather than drinking them in a glass or just a normal cup. A while later, the waitress grabbed our drink and wanted to take it away, she didn't even ask us and my friend was still drinking when she grabbed our drink. That was just so rude! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT! AND I WILL RECOMMEND PEOPLE NOT TO GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!Crap food and poor service! Why would you want to pay to get a bad treatment like that?!
