Having read about this place on several websites, I decided to hit this place up with my friend for dinner one night.
The restaurant itself is quite small and narrow, with not much seating, but they have an open area outback, with more generous seating. When we arrived at around 7:30, there was ample seating available.
My friend ordered the Pork Carnitas Burrito Bowl, while I opted to go with the classic Barbacoa Beef Burrito. We also got a side of the tortilla chips with guacamole.
Our food took a little longer than expected to prepare, but when it came, the smell wafted into our nostrils, and we immediately starting digging in.
I've been to both Mr. Taco Truck and Taco Loco, and neither can compare with the fresh burritos you can get in SoCal. Without a doubt, Little Burro is the closest thing you'll get in Hong Kong to the real deal.
The meat was juicy, flavourful and succulent. The rice was well seasoned, not overcooked or undercooked. It was packed full of fresh salsa and sour cream, and the burrito was bulging at the seams with deliciousness. It was a bit of a mess to eat, but totally worth it.
My friend also really enjoyed her burrito bowl. Not my thing - there's something about handheld food that makes it delicious in a primal way - but it used the same fresh ingredients as in my burrito.
We both agreed that the guacamole was the best we've had in Hong Kong as well, and the chips were wonderfully crisp, without being too heavy. They had an option of either baked or fried, so that was a nice option for the more health conscious.
All-in-all, if you love burritos, or you just love Mexican-style food in general, this place is a must go for you.
