餐廳差不多個個位都無敵海景! 再加上今日天氣好,睇日落實在完美!食物係好食既,不過可能期望太高,無令我有wow 既感覺。反而之前同樣係Ramsay 在香港開的bread street kitchen 既質素就令人驚喜!麵包只係每人一件focaccia,配bone marrow 牛油都特別。Starter= grilled octopus。得3條鬚,果然係”starter”。香草source 好濃,不過都隱約食到grill 既香味。八爪魚鬚既texture 好軟,都特別既。主角Beef Wellington, 生熟度完美,問心其實係好食既,但係唔會令你大叫好好味呀果隻,可能來之前既expectation 太高,又或者等上菜等左太耐...Overall 係好食既, 如果唔抱超高期望,就一定唔會失望!

難得朋友返HK過生日,當然要食好少少啦~ 本身book 左嫁啦,可能時間尚早,唔洗等就入得,仲要坐近窗的位置,睇到靚靚的海景。呢間餐廳的同事都好好,好友善地向我地推介左唔同的菜式。難得黎到Gordon Ramsay的餐廳當然就要try try 塊Steak。因為之前係另一間Gordon Ramsay 的餐廳試過Beef Wellington。所以,今次試另一主打炭燒牛扒,塊扒好大塊,肉汁鮮嫩Juicy,2個女仔分食已經勁飽。另外,叫左Salad,消一消食太多肉的膩感。Salad的菜都好新鮮。可能因為新開張,大廚都會出黎同我地傾計,問我地意見,勁friendly同風趣。係等甜品既時候,仲可以拎杯cocktail 出去吹下海風,欣賞下無敵大海景。甜品勁好食,好足料,味道甜甜酸酸,即刻開番個胃整體水準一流﹗

Gordon Ramsay is on my top 10 list of favorite chefs. I love his television shows and have even tried a few of his recipes (which honestly, work out fantastic with much applause from my friends who have tried it). I've been to two of his restaurants in London (including Maze Grill) and when he opened up Bread Street Kitchen here, I went here opening week.And now he has opened up Maze Grill here in Hong Kong. And now he has opened up Maze Grill here in Hong Kong. The London one serves steak and sushi all under one roof.  Would it be like the London one? Would it live up to his standard? I wanted to go!

Apparently, so did everyone else as booking was near impossible. So, a coworker and I decided to see if we could just walk in or line up? As that seems to be how so many restaurants here work. Just line up!


We arrived at 5:45 PM and asked if walk-ins were available. The hostess informed us they were fully booked including the bar area. Sadly, we were prepared to slouch away when the hostess said that there was a table that was reserved at 7:30 PM and if they gave us the table at 6 PM, will we be able to leave by 7:30 PM? YES! YES! YES! YES!


So, at 6 PM, we promptly sat. The interior of the restaurant had a lengthy bar on one area. Dry age steaks were hung nearby. It  designed more like a steakhouse.

We were seated at the window where there is a fantastic view of the Hong Kong nightline. There appears to be outdoor seating but none of those were filled.  Also, the outside seating didn't really match the nice posh interior decor. A little Kitchen Nightmare design flaw?

We were presented with the menu. In clear Ramsay style, it was clear and concise. One page and to the point. It was clear that this Maze Grill is different than the London one as sushi was missing on the menu. It was clear he was gearing this to be more of a true steakhouse and I guess he knew the market. Avoid sushi if you don't have an excellent sushi chef as this is Asia and not London.  As I wanted the beef wellington, the waitress suggested we order a starter as it takes 45 minutes to prepare. We went with this suggestion.

However, the drinks menu is very extensive. I've watched that Kitchen Nightmares episode. Drinks is what makes the money. My coworker ordered a glass of Pinot Noir ($128). The sommelier brought it over and suggested I have a virgin mojito ($88) as I said I didn't drink alcohol. It was ok. I could have wanted a bit more mint but it was fine. The sommelier even returned to check if we liked the drink suggestions.

We were presented with the bread basket. A huge chunk of beautiful soft and fragrant focaccia. And that little blob? The waitress said it was marrow butter. Yes, butter mixed with bone marrow. It was so rich, smooth, creamy. I normally do not spread butter but this? This was glorious.

As I chose the beef wellington, I let my coworker choose the starter. This is the grilled diver scallops ($158). I saw in past reviews it was served on the shell. What happened to the shell? Perhaps when Gordon came and said serving on the shell is so 1960s. The scallops were served with a jalapeno sauce and slices of tart green  apple.  Somehow, it worked. The jalapeno sauce was so spicy but for some reason, the sourness of the apples decreased the heat level. The scallops were perfectly cooked. Starter was fine but highly uninteresting. I think if I returned again, I would have chosen something else.

After a while, the beef wellington arrived. Gordon Ramsay's signature dish. I was excited. How many times have I watched him make this on Youtube? I practically memorized this recipe. For $888 it was pretty expensive but it also said it was a sharing dish. The waitress informed us it was enough for two people and it did include mashed potato. And she was not kidding. There were four thick slices of wellington.  Honestly, I think four people could share this and each have one slice. The wellington was perfect.  The beef fillet was cooked perfectly and was so moist and tender, I didn't even need to chew on it. That is how awesome this piece of beef was. There was  slight taste of mustard but not too much to overwhelm it. The mushroom duxelle had such a strong woodsy flavor. The thin slice of parma ham held it all together so it wouldn't fall apart. The puff pastry at the ends were flakey and crisp. It was served with a light red wine sauce that was good to the last drop. The mash potatoes were creamy and buttery.

While we were full, the waitress presented us with the dessert menu. What can I say? Girls may say they are full but we always make room for dessert!

We chose the apple pie ($158). It said it was for two people but honestly? It was big enough for four. There was a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a very creamy thick anglaise.

Inside was huge chunks of apple. There wasn't too much cinnamon as the apples were the star. The apples were soft and sweet.  It seemed all the sweetness came from the apples. Different than other apple pies where all you taste is cinnamon and sugar. The shortcrust pastry was great. Soft and buttery. Flakey and just that type of crust you just want to devour with no filling at all. The creme anglaise was a nice touch with a strong hint of vanilla. We simply couldn't finish so we asked them to split the apple pie into two take away boxes which they did for us (and didn't charge us for take away box and bag charge like most places).

The food was fantastic and not as expensive as expected as we've been to restaurants that charge this same amount of money and yet came out feeling ripped off. Service was impeccable. Waiters came to check in on you. We did go a little bit over our agreed 7:30 table return as our dessert hadn't arrived and no one  pressured us to go.  We even offered to sit at the bar while we waited for our dessert if the people that booked the table is waiting. But the staff said not to worry,  just enjoy dessert.  Even when we left, the staff wished we had a wonderful evening. Now, that people is service. Combined with the food, the fantastic view of Hong Kong and the amazing service, we went to work the next day still on cloud 9. I will definitely be back.

有幸得朋友的邀請, 嘗試新餐廳.一入到去, O 左咀, 真係無得輸的環境.我一行3個人, 朋友, 我及老公.正常晚餐時間, 眼見都有大約10張枱的人客, 都見D服務員, 捧住D餐走來走去.一坐低就有位識講少少但唔正的中文, 服務員, 佢話我係意大利仔比水我地, 跟住問我地叫唔叫其他飲品, 不過 我唔係聽得太清楚佢的中文, 所以有位本地人的, 我估係經理, 走埋來, 介紹左D Cocktail 比我. 太耐無飲有酒精的飲品, 唔係因為個朋友及老公都係到, 我真係唔會試, 不過, 之後好滿意, 因為個經理介紹左一隻好啱我飲的給我. 有那裡的環境, 實在飲得杯落.我地3個人, 叫左好多, 不過我已經數唔番, 連個經理都話, 你地叫的實在足夠........ 哈哈..... 我地有點過份吧, 不過, 竟然食我晒.我老公食牛肉, 我食豬, 我朋友食魚.  我老公食飽左之後, 只係件牛肉有少許 over cook, 其他的不論沙律, 我地的主菜, 及甜品, 就連我平時細食的朋友, 佢都竟然..... 由頭食到尾....  跟住大廚出來問意見, 我老公都係話牛肉有少許over cook, 跟住個大廚

跟住大廚出來問意見, 我老公都係話牛肉有少許over cook, 跟住個大廚話, 我地應該立即退回.... OMG 呢D唔係我的文化, 雖然我已經30年無食牛, 但我都唔主張這樣浪費. 大廚話, 呢D係做廚的責任及技巧, 佢唔接受,  咁我就話, 好等我生日的時候再來食.   
最後的甜品, 無我輸的蘋果批, 不過, 記住有人同你share 先好叫. 
可惜, 我在打去訂枱食我的生日餐, 已經訂唔到啦.

期待已久的maze Grill終於係尖沙咀開幕喇!餐廳環境一流,有無敵維港大海景,係香港可以睇呢個景又可以食到咁有質素嘅英國餐廳唔多,真係超值!甜品一定要特別推介,apple pie同toffee pudding好食到,由前菜食到主菜,雖然已經食到好飽都要繼續食!下次一定會再黎!!

煙燻雞翼 (Smoked Chicken Wings Comeback Sauce) ($ 128), 看見菜式名字以為似煙鴨胸的烹調方法做,原來是一碟四件炸雞中翼,賣相相當吸引,夠新鮮、鬆脆及有肉汁,附上一小碗 Comeback Sauce。這個醬汁略鹹,是用蛋白醬、辣椒醬、檸檬汁、茄汁、煙燻甜椒及鹽等混合而成,但我個人卻偏愛原味,不加任何醬汁已很好味道。

烤帶子 (Grilled Diver Scallops with Jalapeño, Green Apple and Coriander) ($ 158) ,這道菜端上枱時,發現並不是帶子而是大型扇貝,份量很少,適合一位用,扇貝煮得恰到好處,外面熟裏面有暖暧的感覺。上面淋上淡淡綠色的醬汁,用墨西哥辣椒 (Jalapeño)、 香菜 (即是芫荽,Coriander) 及青蘋果絲做成,沒有濃烈的香菜味道亦不辣,扇貝肉配上這個醬汁好清新,好合拍。

菠菜、水菜及香脆薯仔沙律 (Spinach Mizuna and Crispy Potatoes with Avocado, Wafu Dressing) ( $ 128),材料用 Baby Spinach、用醋醃過的長長青瓜片、炸薯絲配以用牛油果及和風沙律汁好醒胃,喚醒食客味蕾。

乾式熟成豬扒配芹菜蓉及椰菜沙律( Dry Aged Pork Chop with Celeriac Purlee) ($ 228),廚師將燒焗好的乾式熟成豬扒切好一件件,放在舖有厚厚黃色醬的碟上,起初以為是芥茉醬或者是蘋果醬,放進口時才知是西芹磨成的菜蓉,加上豬扒肉質嫩滑,食起來味道很夾又創新。另有一小碗椰菜沙律,用來除去口腔的肥腻感。

原隻黑椒烤春雞配麵包沙律 (Whole Black Pepper Chicken with Autumn Bread Salad) ($ 248),我用真材實料來形容這道菜,春雞的大小比外間略大,醃料味道好有層次,黑胡椒不太搶喉,毫無雪藏味道,肉質嫩滑,加埋春雞上的一小片青檸,令人唾涎欲滴。配以廚師炮製的麵包沙律,真是天衣無縫。今次是我初次食這個麵包沙律,鬆脆的麵包粒吸收了蔬菜鮮甜味的沙律汁,非常好味道。

當然必定要點  Gordon Ramsay 的經典威靈頓牛柳 (Beef Wellington with Mash Potatoes and Sweetcorn Sauce)  ($ 888) ,這道英國菜,我少年時父母曾帶我到香港某餐廳第一次品嚐威靈頓牛柳,令我念念不忘。在我成長路中,很渴望能夠再次品嚐這個用酥皮捲著牛柳去焗熟的美食。今次來在 「Maze Grill」,竟然是 Gordon Ramsay 的名菜,當然要品嚐,一碟四件,可供 3 至 4 位用。酥皮包著巴拿馬火腿、 蘑菇蓉及輕輕煎過乾式熟牛柳烤焗而成。酥皮焗得香但未夠脆,牛柳烤得剛好,肉質柔軟嫩滑。另有一小碗煮成糊狀的甜粟,十分鮮甜。

青豆香菜意大利飯 (Pea and Parsley Risotto with Roasted Garlic) ($ 138),沒想到這個簡簡單單的意大利飯那麼好味,整碟淡綠色的意大利飯給人柔和感覺。每粒飯都充滿蒜頭、青豆及香菜的味道,值得一試。

「Maze Grill」共有六款甜品,我點了四款,四款都各有特色,甜的程度較高。

有幸來到 「地獄廚神」 Gordon Ramsay 的餐廳「Maze Grill」用餐是一個好體驗,既可滿足我的好奇心又滿足我品嚐到經典威靈頓牛柳 (Beef Wellington with Mash Potatoes and Sweetcorn Sauce) 的願望。最可惜未能品嚐到慢煮鴨肉西瓜沙律 (Special Confit Duck Watermelon Salad) 及威靈頓龍蝦 (Lobster Wellington),衹好留待下一次。如想一嘗 Gordon Ramsay 的餐廳「Maze Grill」,最好預早網上訂座。

Having made reservation successfully via the booking system with the reservation number, I suddenly received a call informing my reservation have already got canceled after a week. The staff said they have doubled up the bookings with the phone reservation. She offered a time slot two hours later or lunch session on the same day. I asked why not canceling the phone reservations. She didn't reply and just asked me to understand that. Fully understand, I just don't accept that. I thanked her and h

之後經理過左黎我同佢講我預先reserved了beef wellington的,佢叫我等一等,回頭覆我話beef wellington因為個爐壞左所以8點後已無供應!我到達餐廳時receptionist仲同我double confirm話已預留比我。非常失望,呢個藉口好hea,一句說話講完就算!完全無recommend其他菜式比我地!
佢完全無資格做經理!仲答我太忙我地都serve吾切客人!竟然會咁講野!

之後我不相信果位本地manager的說話,我問了另外兩位外國waiter,佢答覆是beef wellington sold out tonight,兩位不約而同地答我同一答案!証明我推斷正確,係佢地忘記了幫我reserved beef wellington!!!! 香港人真的較為多藉口狡猾!!令我們更生氣



此外,上菜係極其極其慢⋯後面果檯仲快過我地,佢地係keep住上菜,我地由9點半食到12點幾先食完!真係好無癮!

我5月在LA食過兩間Gordon Ramsay主理的餐廳,Hell’s Kitchen及burger,服務態度,環境,食物都非常高質素!對比香港這間真的令人非常非常失望!服務態度差過茶餐廳,埋單3千幾5個人。

*重點,切餅費收$250,竟然無幫我地切埋,我地係自己切的!真係令人好生氣又失望!!!!!其他,我們另外嗌左支白酒及鮮橙汁。有品酒師在場,佢服務算是最好最專業的一位。

Maze Grill 襲港🥩~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~海港城開左愈來愈多新餐廳,老闆就是地獄廚神Gordon Ramsay﹗餐廳標榜以炭爐烤香,入口更惹味,名副其實!提供多款酒俾你選擇,但lunch 唔太適宜飲酒,所以揀左sparkling water ($68). 因為叫左sparkling water, 所以有餐包送。包都係自家製,食落去有啲似蛋糕咁鬆軟,淡淡的香草橄欖油味,旁邊還有牛油及芝士提供。Dry Aged Pork Chop ($228)肉質厚嫩,保留左肉汁,炭味重,重到似食緊燒肉,另外仲有薯蓉,好滑,食完已經飽哂。Slow Cooked Ribs ($228)Ribs 慢煮得黎唔會太乾身,另外仲有BBQ醬,個人認為就咁食已經好入味。~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

提供多款酒俾你選擇,但lunch 唔太適宜飲酒,所以揀左sparkling water ($68). 因為叫左sparkling water, 所以有餐包送。包都係自家製,食落去有啲似蛋糕咁鬆軟,淡淡的香草橄欖油味,旁邊還有牛油及芝士提供。
Dry Aged Pork Chop ($228)
肉質厚嫩,保留左肉汁,炭味重,重到似食緊燒肉,另外仲有薯蓉,好滑,食完已經飽哂。
Slow Cooked Ribs ($228)
Ribs 慢煮得黎唔會太乾身,另外仲有BBQ醬,個人認為就咁食已經好入味。

咁就叫咗英國28 日熟成牛, 上圖係Sirloin Rib Eye and Fillet 各100g, 大嘅五佰幾蚊, 試晒幾個部位, 牛味豐富, 但見其它枱食新鮮牛有炭爐拿出末燒, 我覺得下次首選係威𤫊顿牛 〉新鮮炭燒牛 〉 熟成牛, 不過熟成牛都不錯。

We start our dinner with cocktails. The cocktails have such a harmony of flavors,the raspberry revolution is my favorite! You can smell the fragrance of the orchid while drinking it,its a smart design. We had smoked beef tartare and burrata&beef tomato as starters.
That creaminess of the melting cheese&sweetness of tomato is such a perfect match,its the best burrata&tomato I've eaten in town. It's my first time eating raw beef,I can taste the freshness of the beef mixing with the egg yolks on top,eating with their homemade chips,its a very interesting dish for my taste buds.
For the main we got their signature beef Wellington&lobster tail. The lobster tail is unbelievable amazing!😋😋😋 I never eat such a nice lobster and this one nail it. The smokey flavor of the lobster meat eating together with the miso dressing salad,the flavor lingered in my mouth...
Their signature beef wellington is very tasty too! Crispy pastry on the outside,wrapped with a layer of truffle&the medium cooked beef,with that silky mashed potato,very satisfying. I loved that their staffs are very international&so nice to chat with,everyone is so friendly&taking a very good care of us.
The bonus is the fireworks,they have designed the restaurant with a spectacular so you can see the harbor view from every tables. Definitely will come back to explore their a la carte menu next time with more delicious cocktails!! 😍😍😍

肉眼半肥瘦,最受人歡迎;西冷肉較厚而且味較重;牛柳最少油分,最少運動既部分,會最嫩。

作為知名扒房火喉掌握得完美,就係pink in the middle!

呢度既牛扒係28天熟成,最好既時段,因為味道變化唔會過大!

不過都算啦,可能賣曬或者轉左掛
個汁真係一絕,忌廉汁滿佈黑松露醬
入口幼滑紛香撲鼻,有D雜菌增加口感!

以往慕名去試甚麼有名的餐廳又或甚麼米芝蓮餐廳,都沒有一間會值得返轉頭,今晚終於........終於這間的而且確是名乎其實。餐廳的環境坐擁維港夜景不在話下,出色的服務也是近年難遇,服務生很親切,觸覺很敏銳,反應也快,實在是高級餐廳的水準。食物質素極優,單單那個黑椒汁也有幾個層次,果汁更是新鮮得令人難以置信,確確實實feel到廚師好有heart,對出品的食物質素有要求。總結,這是令人值得消費,一去再去的餐廳。
