Lovely Italian fusion cuisine at Palco!


I have been to Palco some years ago when it was still at Chai Wan and the food was very impressive. Palco comes to my mind this time when I get to celebrate birthday with a good friend of mine!


The interior is elegant and modern. We are warmly welcomed by the waiter once we stepped out of the lift. The waiter kindly introduce the tasting menu to us and we decided to go with À la carte as there were quite a few dishes from menu we wanted to try. We ordered a few appetizers and a pasta to share.


The cold dish is first served. Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio with Foie Gras and Yuzu Avocado Purée. The scallops are freshly sliced and topped with pan seared Foie Gras. The scallops are fresh and the yuzu avocado purée makes a great addition to the flavour of the scallops. It is such a great match! The pan seared Foie Gras is another highlight to the dish. It is juicy and goes very well with the fresh scallops. Every element of this dish is finely cooked. The sautéed eggplant is cooked of the right texture.

After finishing the scallops, Sautéed Clams in White wine Sauce is served. The clams are cooked in the lobster sauce and served with two pieces of garlic bread. The clams are fresh and flavoured with lobster sauce. The diced tomatoes and onion enriches the flavour of the sauce as well as the clams. We like the sauce a lot and dipping the garlic bread to enjoy the dish as much as we can.

Sautéed Prawns with Garlic and Chili is more of the Asian flavour. The prawn is nicely sautéed and the chili flavour is not too strong. I like putting a slice of garlic onto the prawn for richer taste.

Here comes the signature pasta dish, Spaghetti with 24-M Parmesan cheese and black truffle paste! Chef Ken comes to our table and cooks for us. Chef Ken adds brandy to the wheel of cheese and put it on flame, spaghetti is then added straightaway. The spaghetti is transferred to the pan, adding cream and cheese from the wheel of Parmesan cheese and cooked till it’s creamy. Black truffle paste is lastly added. The spaghetti smells so good with both cheese and truffle paste! It has a strong taste of cheese which I really like.

Boss’s birthday dinner was chosen to organise here, which is nearby my workplace, just take a minutes walk from Wanchai MTR Station. We ordered a 8-courses tasting menu. Each dish was unbelievably delicious and full of surprise! I don’t know there is such a nice Italian restaurant even I had been working in this region for more than 10 years!

The birthday cake was so impressive too! Chef use the real peony to decorate the cake!!!! Oh my god!

Friends organised his anniversary celebration dinner here. It’s my first time to be here and I found that it’s surprised to try each dish. Amazingly good and unexpectedly delicious! Worth to try. Especially the black truffle cheese pasta which is so rich and full of aroma of black truffle .

話說上次試完個lunch之後印象太深刻,當時知道原來有Tasting Menu,所以就同班閨蜜黎慶祝我牛一啦。真係非常非常開心,無諗過咁驚喜,每一道菜都好好味啊,好有誠意!我訂台既時候都無特別要求個Menu要D乜,Chef話時不時都會轉入面D菜式,因為季節唔同,食材都會有唔同。今次主打海鮮,第一道菜係Toro,用墨魚汁脆片裝著,非常Fatty,入面仲有牛油果同少少哈密瓜調味。跟住就有個燒蚌,好鮮甜。蟹肉海鮮湯係我飲過最好味既蟹肉湯,真係鮮味到!黑松露芝士意粉就可以唔使講,signature dish, 香濃彈牙。個和牛又係好得,Chef話係唔係普通和牛,係岩手縣和牛,坊間少有。仲有係個蛋糕啊!!開心死我喇!靚到不得了啊!我下年生日都要再黎慶祝啊!

A friend brought me there the first time and it was very good food. But he ordered too much food and was too filling. Another friend invited me there to have the tasting menu on 24 August 2018 and it was fantastic! all the food was so delicately made and portion well planned. Quality and fine delicious food. So well put together.  The place was nice and quiet, classy and enjoyable, yet not pompous, very relaxing and one can feel so at ease with such fine dining. 
I liked it so much that I quickly invited two other guests to return the following friday, asking for the same tasting menue. They prepared it with the same care and master chef skills. My guests loved it and had a great time that evening. Service was excellent.

The dessert was so delicately prepared by the chef, one of a kind taste. The sorbet was so arromatic and the jasmine tea and peach flavour oozed out from the sorbet. it was a delicious and fun dessert!! love every bit of it. Also notice another table had a birthday celebration. The birthday cake/dessert was also thoughtful and interesting!

All round master-chef quality! For this price, I'd come here anytime over michelin star restaurants and five star hotel F&B outlets.

Truly a hidden gem in Wanchai!! I highly recommend this ... Must try!

但餐廳竟然已讀不回 真心好嬲
一間咁既餐廳 對待客人真用呢種心態

生日前夕去了位於灣仔、評價不錯的Palco Ristorante,雖然之前在國外每天都會煮意粉,但到現在我仍沒有抗拒感。😂應該不會有生厭的一天吧?😝當天為平日下午,有3-course-lunch menu提供。點餐後不久送來牛油餐包,聽聞這裡的蜜糖牛油很有名,果然名不虛傳!牛油很柔軟,而且散發很香甜的蜜糖味🤤另外餐包也熱辣辣,配搭起來很好吃~難得平時不太喜歡的香草麵包條也蠻好吃,香草味幾突出~頭盤我選了大蒜薯蓉湯。送上的時候,煙鱔跟湯是分開的,侍應會在面前倒薯蓉湯到放擺有煙鱔的碟內。馬鈴薯的味道濃郁,魚肉很滑。然後是主菜,香煎大虎蝦配海鮮意大利飯!這個很驚艷,飯粒的硬度恰到好處,好強烈的海鮮湯味,吃虎蝦時裡面鮮甜的肉汁滲進意大利飯裏,更添美味🤤🤤整體也不會膩,好好吃😋😋推介!👍🏻最後是是日甜品,apple crumble。賣相同樣精緻,份量雖然不多,但貴精不貴多,蘋果很爽口,雲尼拿雪糕旁的果醬令整道甜品錦上添花!🤤整體食物質素蠻高,而且環境舒適,服務態度很好,是既滿足又滿意的一頓意大利午餐。🤤

最後是是日甜品,apple crumble。賣相同樣精緻,份量雖然不多,但貴精不貴多,蘋果很爽口,雲尼拿雪糕旁的果醬令整道甜品錦上添花!🤤


整體食物質素蠻高,而且環境舒適,服務態度很好,是既滿足又滿意的一頓意大利午餐。🤤

超美味午餐!係金鐘返工,同事帶我黎食Lunch。試左個前菜已經超有驚喜!白身魚加個汁好開胃好好味!main course 係雞腿confit非常惹味又熱辣辣。甜品亦都係一流。好有誠意既餐廳,最滿意就梗係個價錢,估唔到三道菜先$188起,平過平時係PP3食好多。我覺得係酒店水準,甚至好味過酒店嗰d business lunch set!值得一去啊!!!食晏期間見到大廚出黎煮名物芝士麵,噴曬火咁,下次一定要試。

I celebrated bf's bday here and ordered tasting menu when I did reservation through it's Facebook. The staff told me that they would use the seasonal and freshest ingredient for the tasting menu, so I chose not to know what would the dishes be. Keeping it secret would be a good way to celebrate my honey's bday.  There are total 8 dishes and they are ALL excellent ! Why he used this combination of ingredient, how he cooked the dish and what was good to cook in this hot summer. This bday dinner was so memorable and  most importantly my honey loved it sooo much! I first want to mention - don’t order the “SET DINNER” at this restaurant. The portions are so small, the food selected aren’t their signature dishes so the food that was served were rather bland and below average. The price is quite pricey at around $500 excluding drinks. It’s not extremely value for money considering the fact that it doesn't taste good....

To begin my review the service was awful, I feel like none of the staff at the restaurant were trained. Mistakes include, clearing up plates that are clearly not done with. Sarcastic tone of voice, not even in a funny way but serious way when inquiring about a dish on the menu. I would not come here again partly because of the service. 


We ordered a la carte menu was quite good in terms of flavour and taste but it really wasnt anything special plus the price for what we ate = is not value for money. 
The environment is also okay, to me, it seems a bit tacky rather than classy. But don’t be deceived by the images. you are paying for the presentation of the food and bad service. The food is average.

It’s just so over priced for how average it is
this 2LB mango cake was $700 HKD and I swear it wasn’t even 2LB. I feel like I was scammed.

真係可以用不同的正去形容這一餐。幾個好朋友在這裡食了一頓豐富及美味的晚餐。先講講環境,餐廳位置都有點偏僻(個人而言)。第一正:上到餐廳感覺是很有氣氛及清靜,可星期一不是太多客人,燈光柔和給人舒適的感覺,也設有獨立房間,正見到有客人訂這間房慶祝生日,真不錯又不會嘈吵到別的客人。第二正:服務態度親切有禮,特別是侍應會主動帶你去洗手間的方向,而不是指你去🤣。第三正:食物我質素高,味道好。極力推薦24個月巴馬臣芝士配黑松露醬意粉,芝士夠晒香加上黑松露嘅香味一絕,廚師還即場為你烹調。第四正:食物的擺設有美感,觀賞的價值頗高。第五正:餐具望上去平平無奇,但細心觀察是高級的瓷具。第六正:價錢合理。總括來說,本人十分喜歡這餐廳,會再去光顧。如果人多去我建議唔好食set餐,可以點不同菜色分享食,更能滿足舌尖。唯一就是份量有點少😅。

Had dinner with my girlfriend for celebration of Valentine’s Day at Palco. Had dinner with my girlfriend for celebration of Valentine’s Day at Palco. It’s our first time to visit this restaurant and we are glad that we had the Valentine’s Day menu there.

Appetizer: Sea urchin, tuna tartar with saffron rice chips

A piece of crispy chicken skin is placed under sea urchin and salmon roe which are both very fresh. The tuna tartar and avocado are always a perfect combination. Having a piece of rice chip to hold the tartar provides some sort of texture and enrich the experience.

Hokkaido king crab with tomato foam and seafood jelly
The taste is what you would normally expect from crab salad with avocado. But presenting tomato in foam with some edible flowers on top is visually gratifying.

Italian style lobster bisque with caviar
As soon as the bisque was poured in front of us from the tea pot, our noses are blessed with the rich aroma from the lobster bisque. Unlike ordinary lobster bisque which is of a more creamy texture, the texture of this one is more like lobster stock. But WE LOVE THAT!! It smells excellent and tastes excellent too (we often find the lobster bisque of many restaurants smells nice but tastes ordinarily. But Palco’s lobster bisque does not disappoint us at all). It is something which is not to be missed.

Orange sorbet
I am rather surprised for this one. Having a fruity sorbet before the main course makes us have our appetite again. It is a very thoughtful arrangement!

The wagyu beef is just terrific! We are speechless <3

Hakata strawberry three ways
Again, the presentation is really beautiful. It’s always good to have some sweet yet sour dessert to conclude a satisfying dinner.

We both agree that Palco is a very nice place to enjoy some dedicated food with exceptionally reasonable price. We will definitely visit it again 
