Came here on a very hot day. The place was empty during afternoon tea, which was good since it meant we didn't have to wait. The environment is fine for its price range and was quiet enough during tea time, which was a plus as we wanted some place to rest and regain focus. Though I have to mention the mosquitos flying around indoors.
We didn't feel like eating so we ordered an iced skinny latte and a Spanish coffee. Here comes the kicker.
Iced latte: cold enough, the coffee itself was awful though. Coffee costs more than starbucks and other coffee places, but the coffee tasted like it was from a 3-in-1 instant coffee mix. We asked for a skinny one but it was absolutely soaked with sugar syrup. considering we asked for skinny latte, would have really prefered the syrup to be on the side.
Spanish Coffee : this is a coffee with a scoop of ice cream. We didnt ask for skim milk for this coffee, so granted it was soaked with sugar syrup. The same N-in-1 instant coffee mix being used, so don't think i can provide more useful insights there. As for the ice cream itself, I would say it will be good enough if you are looking for an experience that resembles your monday blues from work, definitely not for those looking for an Arrrr experience. From my years of ice cream craving, I can pretty much tell the ice cream was from an everyday brand that can be found in supermarkets and comes in family packs. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just not for everyone who wants to have an afternoon off, especially when there are more enjoyable choices out there at a similar price.
This is our second time visiting this place (we came here last time for breakfast). And this time it just reminded us why we only came here once.
