QMO is one of many restaurants in the hip Ship Street. I have tried quite a few of them but QMO is a new one. Focusing on Spanish tapas style food. Cucumber Rumble Cocktail ($88). While wondering what to order, we started off with cocktails as it was still happy hour. Boyfriend had this. I wasn't particularly fond of it as I think it tasted like dishwashing liquid but boyfriend said it was fine. It was lychee, cucumber drink mixed with sake and rum.

Antiage Mojito ($88).  I ordered this and I liked it a lot more than his. It was a raspberry mojito. So it was sweet and fresh with mint at the same time. Afterwards while flipping through the menu, tey now offer mojito for $50 on Wednesday! What a deal!

They gave us snacks to go with our drinks. Pretty nice touch. It was crackers with an egg and slice of tomato. Just something to tide us over.

Starter : Hokkaido Scallop Trio  Comb. As boyfriend wanted to have wine and I couldn't drink that many glasses, we chose only one 3+3+3 menu and I ordered a la carte. This is the starter of scallops three ways. Grilled, mousse and tartar. A pretty presentation of scallops. Each were different. Though I think the tartar version could have used a bit more acidity. This was paired with a Domaine du Pre Semele Sancerre. A white wine with fruity undertones. I felt it was a bit too acidic.

First Course : Grilled Squid with Garlic and Parsley. I liked this a lot. The squid was grilled perfectly. It was fragrant with the taste of garlic and parsley. Quite possibly my favorite of the night. It was paired with a Domaine du Pre Semele  Sancerre as well.

Main Course : Mussels, shrimp, tomato pot-au-feu with fried whitebait. A very tasty and hearty soup, I liked it enough. There was plenty of fresh tasting mussels and shrimp. The addition of whitebait gave it a nice crunchy texture when tossed into the soup. This was paired with a Henri Weber Reisling. I liked this wine a lot more. More sweeter in taste. It went well with the broth.

Duck Confit ($128). This was a special dish of the day and only found on the blackboard. So, I decided to order that. Duck was so soft, the meat literally fell off the bone. It was so good. It was drizzled with a very sweet balsamic vinegar glaze that I  felt was a bit unnecessary.

Tiramisu ($78). Boyfriend wanted the tiramisu. Quite good with a rich velvety mascarpone cream and espresso soaked cake.

Moscatel Dessert Wine ($78). We ended with a dessert wine as I do love dessert wine. Yes, I'm a sweet wine type of person. This was super sweet and went well with the dessert.

We had a few drinks and casual food. The 3+3+3 wine pairing set is pretty good deal and everything complemented well. The food was delicious. A lovely little tapas experience.

剛和空姐女友欣欣去喜貼衔拍拖,她說今晚要去食西餐,我二話不說帶她到QMO吃Dinner頭盤我們叫了豬肩肉,一碟有七塊,很香而且軟硬適中,有口感,附上白酒,真的感覺很香!另外的一款first Course, 我和欣欣最愛鵝肝,又香又濃,入口即溶!主角當然是磨菇steak O, 賣相很特別, 牛扒放在一塊磨菇上,加上綠荳和薯汁,牛肉的汁和味道,和磨菇很夾,我們都很喜歡,而且加上紅酒,味道更特顯了!下次聖誔我們會再來,因為環境和食物真的不俗!

另外的一款first Course, 我和欣欣最愛鵝肝,又香又濃,入口即溶!

主角當然是磨菇steak O, 賣相很特別, 牛扒放在一塊磨菇上,加上綠荳和薯汁,牛肉的汁和味道,和磨菇很夾,我們都很喜歡,而且加上紅酒,味道更特顯了!

下次聖誔我們會再來,因為環境和食物真的不俗!

今天約了靚女Jess 到QMO Gastrobar 吃Dinner, 很喜歡這裏的環境,十分舒服!首先我們都要了一式一樣的晚餐,太好了,468元就可以吃到三道菜Starter 要了一客北海道三式帶子有三種不同的做法,有熟煮,Mousse and Tartar, 三種吃份很夠鮮味,也很精緻!First Course 我們要了烤蒜蓉魷魚,魷魚很軟加上墨魚蒜蓉汁,真的很入味!主菜係戴安娜最喜愛又出名的烤牛扒,配上磨菇和芥辣汁,很有肉香又有口感,加上每一道菜也有特定的紅酒,白酒和甜酒,感覺一絕,我和jess 真的很開心呀!今次我們真的在酒杯下談心!

灣仔的確很多食肆,早前與朋友去到船街,左挑右選,入了QMO吃個寫意午餐,頭盤、主菜、甜品都不缺,而且碟碟都吃得我們津津有味!今次點了幾款signature菜與朋友分享. 我會稱這份為tapas, 因為感覺 '很西班牙', octopus carpaccio with potato vinaigrette 有爽口熟八爪魚片,與拌了蘋果醋的薯蓉同吃,口感豐富,蘋果醋只是吊味,減輕薯蓉的飽滯度,但薯蓉本身很幼滑,越吃越想吃!西班牙虎皮青椒,甜味最先攻佔口腔,隨後有少少微辛,但不持久,是那麼短暫的熱情.Hokkaido scallop trio combo 北海道帶子三煮, 分別以燒、慕絲及他他做法,煮出三種獨特的味道.  燒帶子,烤味濃,面層燒得金黃,好惹味,外脆內軟,而且夠厚肉,他他亦是常見做法,即帶子刺身,品嚐帶子的原汁原味,嫩滑口感難以忘懷. 當中最特別必定是慕絲做法,把帶子攪醉後做成長條形狀,彈牙之餘帶檸汁的清新. 沒記錯的話應該屬於法國菜, 青口、蝦、蕃茄湯配炸白飯魚, 湯底充滿濃濃的蕃茄味, 有點稠, 海鮮料十分足, 全都夠實淨, 而伴碟的白飯魚炸得香脆, 不過要惹味些, 當然沾

主菜有牛肝菌大啡菇意大利飯,芳香撲鼻,唯飯粒煮得有點過火,硬度略減,然而味道是滿分的!沒有留下一粒米是我們對這道菜的反映.

午餐的胃口總是比晚餐少,但甜品也是要吃的. 焦糖香蕉朱古力慕絲,不止心甜,軟滑的慕絲可可度極之香醇,一向是dark chocolate 粉絲,這份介乎milk 和dark chocolate 之間的濃度,碰上香蕉的軟糯,好回味!建議兩至三人分享,

放工同朋友黎飲杯酒,見到依間餐廳人唔多,所以順便係度食下野首先叫左杯ROSE WINE,玫瑰氣酒係近D好HIT既ITEM,玫瑰味夠香,而且酒味都算濃,所以好多人鍾意飲而且依度MARK UP唔算貴,價錢合理TUNA TATA係西班牙菜既名菜,新鮮TUNA配上餅乾塊係最夾既配合,雖然細份左小小但依度既TUNA真係好新鮮食埋個火箭菜就味道岩岩好黑毛豬豬扒豬味好濃,配上磨茹汁味道仲香,肉質滑溜,入口一流磨茹吸曬D燒味變得好香,食落都唔會好硬肉味真係好濃,食完之後再食其他野發現係無乜味,值明用料真係唔錯

呢杯cocktail非常清新,用香草加梳打再加上機酒,少少嘅酒精味加上清新嘅香草味,有種熱帶清新嘅味道。蜜瓜加ham都幾開胃。Sea bass嘅質素好高食落口冇雪味, 廚師嘅手勢好好,魚皮煎又香又脆,魚肉唔會散修修,加上外脆內軟,令到人食指大動。佢啲配菜都好有水準,蘿蔔炆到好淋又好甜,洋蔥炆得好入味 一來到五分鐘全碟清晒。第一次食有八角味嘅菠蘿,聽落去以為怪怪哋,但係食落去菠蘿嘅甜味又唔會俾八角搶曬,係法國獨有嘅味道,又唔會令到 菠蘿變得奇怪,簡單又好味。

餐廳推介呢杯cocktail 顏色非常之靚,透明嘅杯加上,少少紅色嘅紅莓,喺燈光之下非常突出未來,飲落口一點酒味都沒有。我問完先知原來入面係有酒,啱曬唔飲酒好怕有酒味嘅我。Hamachi吞拿魚刺身就食得多啦,用西式烹飪方法整嘅吞拿魚刺身都係第一次食。刺身上面有啲好得意嘅泡泡,同小小香橙啫喱,外型好特別,刺身加埋泡泡同啫哩一齊食,刺身入口即溶。泡泡入口有清新嘅感覺,加上少少橙啫喱嘅甜味,和柚子汁調味,令到吞拿魚嘅味道更加突出,這個沙律清新醒胃。Seafood sherry食得出佢嘅用料非常新鮮,入邊嘅魷魚爽口而不奀,還帶有魷魚嘅甜味。鱈魚嘅肉非常紮實,唔似唔新鮮嘅魚,啲蝦好新鮮好爽好彈牙,加埋其他配料同溫泉蛋攪埋個汁, 令到個汁非常濃郁蛋味幾好味。佢個tiramisu有酒店級嘅水準, 入口味道好濃郁 ,酒味又唔會太濃太搶, 食完一啖齒頰留香,配埋佢預先幫我哋準備嘅甜白酒 ,一啖甜品一啖酒,令濃沃嘅咖啡味上加上一點甜味,都算係一種絕配嘅享受。

吞拿魚刺身就食得多啦,用西式烹飪方法整嘅吞拿魚刺身都係第一次食。刺身上面有啲好得意嘅泡泡,同小小香橙啫喱,外型好特別,刺身加埋泡泡同啫哩一齊食,刺身入口即溶。泡泡入口有清新嘅感覺,加上少少橙啫喱嘅甜味,和柚子汁調味,令到吞拿魚嘅味道更加突出,這個沙律清新醒胃。

食得出佢嘅用料非常新鮮,入邊嘅魷魚爽口而不奀,還帶有魷魚嘅甜味。鱈魚嘅肉非常紮實,唔似唔新鮮嘅魚,啲蝦好新鮮好爽好彈牙,加埋其他配料同溫泉蛋攪埋個汁, 令到個汁非常濃郁蛋味幾好味。

佢個tiramisu有酒店級嘅水準, 入口味道好濃郁 ,酒味又唔會太濃太搶, 食完一啖齒頰留香,配埋佢預先幫我哋準備嘅甜白酒 ,一啖甜品一啖酒,令濃沃嘅咖啡味上加上一點甜味,都算係一種絕配嘅享受。

Iberico Pork Shoulder "Tonnato", with Cava, Agusti Torello Mata

This dish is believed to be an exceedingly elegant antipasto for an elaborate dinner. The thinly sliced pork shoulder has been soaked in a mayo kind of tuna fish sauce with some pickled veggie on to top to give a bit of acidity to counterbalance this meat dish, a great match with the bubbly Cava.

Hamachi Carpaccio with Fennel, with Givry 1er Cru, Cave Des Vignerons de Buxy

The thinly sliced fish is covered in a light foam, mixed greens, and fruity jelly, giving a mix of seawater, cream, sweet and sour taste in one bite. We liked to roll the fish to wrap around the veggies, to go with a sip of dryer white wine.

Grilled Squid with Garlic & Parsley, with Sancerre, Domaine Du Pre Semele

One of our favourite dish from the restaurant. The squid is very tender with just a light garlic herb sauce, sitting on a light squid ink juice. The squid ink has been lighter this time when comparing to the thicker consistency during our last visit, though not a bad choice still.

Sauteed Tiger Prawn with Basic Butter, with Xarel-Lo "Gran Crisalys"

A giant piece of tiger prawn has been fried just right, the fresh prawn meat can be pulled right off the shell, while the tomato relish on the side is an icing on the cake for this delicate piece of shellfish. Compared to the squid dish, this plate would go better with a fruitier wine.

Mussels, Shrimps, Tomato Pot-Au-Feu with Fried Whitebait, with Riesling, Henri Weber

A mixed of seafood swimming in a pool of tomato based soup with a generous amount of onion and seasoning, while the fried whitebait on the side is for you to dip into the sauce, which is a traditional way to enjoy this pot dish. Steak Diane with sautéed potatoes and peas, covered in creamy mushroom shallot sauce. 

The flattened steak is just slightly pink in the middle, absorbing all the flavour from the sauce. Up until this point, we wish these would be some rustic bread for us to dip in! Meanwhile, we really enjoyed the rich French wine to go with this red meat dish.

The wine pairing seafood filled dinner was an enjoyable experience and a meal could never been better without some sips. An exciting 3-course x 3-wine dinner at a reasonable price in Ship Street, one of the most casual yet creative restaurant in the neighborhood!

因為呢間餐廳有參加restaurant week,所以跟朋友到此晚膳。但黎到我地都無點restaurant week 個餐牌,,, 散叫~我們的坐位剛好是最近水吧的一行長枱,但整晚油煙味非尚嚴重,又安排唔到轉換位置,所以餐廳的通風裝置有待改善。由於餐廳收費都不是便宜(約400-500/head dinner),expect 環境應該要再好啲~食物方面,其實都達到水準, 尤其啲海鮮處理不錯,煮完之後都保持鮮味嫩口~starter這個青口是推介!!!!一定要食!! 非常juicy 和嫩滑~tapas 正常~這個green dish 幾特別,, 可以一試~推介!!!

Presa - lberico Pork Shoulder ($298)

吃過了海鮮和蔬菜,來一些豬肉吧! 豬肩肉的質感較彈力,煮成全熟郤有軟腍的感覺,實在可喜,唯獨是肉味不算很濃郁。旁邊的薯條其實才是重點,香滑得像芝士蓉,真想Encore來多一客。

QMO的食物感覺較似Tapas,但又比Tapas多了些蔬菜,雖然價錢不算便宜,如果食量不大的朋友,以上食物幾個人分享的話,都夠飽肚的。另外,環境給我感覺不錯,來Happy Hour亦適合不過!

大廚自創出略帶港式風味的甜品,以鷄蛋仔為藍

本,袖珍版鷄蛋仔內暗藏花生醬,頗為甜溜, 幸好有開胃的熱情果醬配襯,令甜膩度中和不少。

吃過飯後可以到餐廳外圍繼續吹下水,感受一下歐洲人的生活習慣。

Whole King Crab Leg, Zucchini, Aglio E Olio $168地中海沿岸海產多,所以這店比Quemo時期會有更多的海鮮選擇,而呢度菜係用左鹽燒的方式處理蟹腳,上枱已聞到濃濃的海水味,因為蟹腳已經去左殼,食的時候一拉就可以把蟹肉拆出了,不會太辛苦!配菜青瓜爽口彈牙,不經調味的蟹腳鮮味十足,火喉控制得十分讚!

在餐牌找不到主食的份兒,原來這兒的Paellea 是需要預訂的,每天限量供應,幸好Martin 亦預留了給我們,大大個的Paellea 上枱已聞到濃濃的龍蝦香,服務員在我們面前把飯拌勻,每拌一下都聞到香味,而飯身吸收了海鮮的精華而不覺得過咸,好好吃!最後吃不完我還打包做宵夜,哈!

Here were the desserts we had:

The cheesecake was nice because I couldn't taste the lemongrass and the honey foam on top was divine.
The other dessert that I liked was the chocolate because it was soft chocolate spongecake contrasted by the coffee.

The highlight of this dish goes to the burrata cheese. The naturally soft, moisture and creamy cheese was served in molecular form. The runny cheese was made in round ball shape with a mild bursting effect when biting into it. 

The super light and creamy burrata cheese is my favourite, and it goes beautifully with cherry tomatoes, even better than mozzarella cheese. For only $88, I would defitely order this again and again.

A block of mixed flavours marrying together with sun-dried tomato on top, then a layer of chopped kalamata olives and chopped wild mushroom at the bottom. The mixed feel was pretty interesting, which was mostly savoury from the olives, and sweet and sour from the sun-dried tomato.

I can't stress more that QMO is not a Spanish restaurant but it serves mainly European cuisine with the freshest seafood sourced from all over the world. This piece of squid gave us no disappointment that it was so soft with a light chewiness. The way it was cooked was surprisingly quite oriental because quite a generous amount of garlic was being used.

The squid ink sauce on the side was not to be missed as it intensify the seafood taste from the squid. 

One extra plus point goes to the plating. The "Yin Yang" presentation was just attractive and pretty, while the black and white contrast was a smart move.

It was a light dinner filled with healthy fresh produce and seafood. If you happened to come to Ship Street next time, this street is not just about Spanish food, QMO would be a good choice if you want something not as quite standard.
