So it's basically a general gathering with my primary schoolmates

On such a special day, for a general gathering like ours, it was a tough mission to arrange the venue even for people who aren't really picky.

So I thought of this restaurant I used to visit very often when working in Central.

Its Jap-style Italian food.

Surprisingly fine -- perhaps thats the good point of combining It. & Jap.style?

The cold pasta options are highly recommended. We had salmone di Salmone -- great as usual

Carbonara -- try it! it rocks!

a Seafood pizza -- hot and crispy with LOTS OF SEAFOOD on top

one of the features of the courses here is that the portion of ingredients. very impressive.

I miss their carrot coup and ginger pumpkin soup!

dessert was awesome: Tiramisu - smooth; Apple Sorbet - nice!! and cheese cake - natural and delicious

the shop owner and waitresses are very nice tho I agree their service could be improved and be more personalized?

but at least on a day like this, we will not be urged to pay the bill.

是日是男朋友bday, 一行人到sagrantino食dinner.叫了一個salad (japanese sauce), 有菜, 磨菇,一隻熱荷包蛋, 酸味味, 夠晒醒胃一個pasta (ox tail), d 汁真係好正ar...ox tail 又淋...又入味...最好有碗白飯仲正一個Rissoto(Italian mushroom in parmesan sauce), 相比ox tail...就無咁夠味..不過..都好好食....lee 度仲可以免切餅費, 仲會播生日歌le...如果d 人服務好一點..唔好黑口黑面就最好la....

21-10-2009一早已話約朋友 J 食 lunch, 奈何大家 schedule 太唔夾了 , 無數次改期後, 呢日終於可以食餐飯傾個偈. 睇了食評好似不錯, 亦離大家公司唔遠, 又訂呢度試試. 大家都叫了 pasta set lunch, 跟 soup/salad 及 coffee/tea.Table bread 有 croutons 及芝麻 pastry twists, 前者鬆化又香脆, 後者就比想像中硬實, 亦無預期中的牛油香芝麻香, 個人而言較喜歡前者; 掛住食包, 無試另外 serve 的 Balsamic vinegar, 唔知又如何?湯係 minestrone (?), 材料有西芹, 薯仔, 紅蘿蔔之類, 帶強勁的新鮮 tomato puree 酸香, 不過 serve 時嚴重唔夠熱, 結果飲到一半佢已凍晒, 唯有放棄.主食揀了 cold pasta with dice cut salmon & salmon roe*, 份量奇大 , 賣相令人諗起日本餐廳定食的「意粉沙律」前菜... 凍食 capellini 煮得煙韌有咬口, 落了唔少 olive oil 及少量

一早已話約朋友 J 食 lunch, 奈何大家 schedule 太唔夾了
, 無數次改期後, 呢日終於可以食餐飯傾個偈. 睇了食評好似不錯, 亦離大家公司唔遠, 又訂呢度試試. 大家都叫了 pasta set lunch, 跟 soup/salad 及 coffee/tea.

Table bread 有 croutons 及芝麻 pastry twists, 前者鬆化又香脆, 後者就比想像中硬實, 亦無預期中的牛油香芝麻香, 個人而言較喜歡前者; 掛住食包, 無試另外 serve 的 Balsamic vinegar, 唔知又如何?

湯係 minestrone (?), 材料有西芹, 薯仔, 紅蘿蔔之類, 帶強勁的新鮮 tomato puree 酸香, 不過 serve 時嚴重唔夠熱, 結果飲到一半佢已凍晒, 唯有放棄.

主食揀了 cold pasta with dice cut salmon & salmon roe*, 份量奇大
, 賣相令人諗起日本餐廳定食的「意粉沙律」前菜... 凍食 capellini 煮得煙韌有咬口, 落了唔少 olive oil 及少量 garlic, 面頭鋪滿 cube 狀三文魚及少量三文魚籽, 拌勻嚟食, 帶三文魚籽的鹹香, 三文魚唔算好肥美, 但感覺幾新鮮, 口味清新, 食晒成碟都唔覺膩, 幾好食亦幾得意.

朋友揀的 spaghetti alla vongole 係我最喜歡的 pasta 之一, spaghetti 煮得 al dente, 好香 garlic 及 herbs 味; 蜆仔叫幾鮮美, 但唔夠嫩滑又有唔少沙, 可惜.

最後嚟一杯熱咖啡, 好香, 夠厚, 無澀味, 酸度低, 好喜歡


食物不錯, 環境亦舒服好坐; 訂檯時覺得 waitress 有點寸, 但嚟到坐低食飯又覺得 waitress 幾 nice 又 helpful, 服務又唔錯.

連加一每人約 $120, 唔算平, 但印象不錯, 不失為一個食 lunch 的好地方.

好開心的一個 "lunch getaway"
朋友 J, 下次試邊間呀?

一行四人上去食個fine lunch, 唔洗等位, 因為有得book位有麵包籃做前菜, 都不錯, 暖暖地, 又脆, Grissini最香口.看了一回兒餐牌後, 外籍侍應上前為我們寫單,我們要了98蚊個餐, 包沙律/ 湯及面包 咁我地分別叫了以下意粉:Caprese Morone Biroldo Prosciutto e asparago 由於我地都很餓, 所以叫左佢比大份d我地, 點知真係大左d喎~味道各人都讚好, 不多詳細說了, 可以一嚐, 而上菜時間都不會太久!都值得一試既~

第一次訂了位去唔到,第二次想訂又無位,第三次終於訂到又食到。原以為是意大利餐廳,但裝修環境似日式西餐廳。午餐大致上是Pasta,也有少量的海鮮及扒,我同朋友也是意粉迷,當然是叫意粉。先上的麵包是德國黑麥包及鬆脆麵包粒。頭盤是湯或沙律,我本來想食一個清淡點的沙律,但沙律醬勁多,芝士粉也不少,一點也不輕怡。朋友話她的甘荀湯味道一般。因為朋友揀了我鍾愛的Carbonara,我要第二選擇的Arrabiate,茄醬好鮮味,除了有罐頭茄膏外,還加入了新鮮蕃茄,顏色明顯較鮮艷。不過辣味似是來至Tabasco,這個就是餐牌上寫的Chili sauce?看見朋友的Carbonara,賣相十足煙肉炒意粉,既沒有芝士香也不夠creamy,幸慶我沒有要。本想要甜品,但是日只有Tiramisu,興趣不大又要加錢。加一後每人埋單也要$110,不太抵食。

Been to this restaurant twice, once for dinner and once for lunch. Food was great during both visits. Definitely worth recommending to others especially if your friends like both Italian and Japanese food because the Japanese chef somehow brought some Japanese touch to the pasta dishes. But please expect horrible service. The waitresses did not utter a word (at least that's our impression) throughout. I wouldn't go back but for the yummy pasta and the reasonable price.

This is indeed a restaurant highly recommended by my Japanese friend. The pasta is superb! I especially love the cold pasta, must try!

It is a cozy restarant owned by a Japanese, who is also the chief chef of the restaurant. Appointment is needed for weekday lunch, but it's rather quiet on weekend nights (at least for tonight
).

A restaurant I'd recommend for my friends.

Food is excellent, not expensive at all, good deal in Central. I have been there more than 10 times since Mar 08, the owner is a Japanese chief but good at Italian food, the pasta is really good, in my opinion, even better than Isola, the noodle is well cooked, just well done, not too soft, not too hard, Italian style, not like many restaurants in HK which always got the pasta over cooked.

Appetizer range from $60 to $100, pasta from $90 to $130, grill main course from $130 to $200, pizza from $ 98 to $ 130, dish is quite big, you will be more than full if you have the full course by yourself.

I love their Basil base seafood pasta, taste so fresh and full of basil and herbs, the basil is just enough to bring the freshness of the seafood but not too strong that you will lose the taste of the seafood.

Another favor dish is Cold Pasta - Raw salmon with salmon egg, it's Japanese style, the garlic sauce with herbs made the angle hair pasta taste so well that you may forget your salmon and salmon egg, it's a very good dish for such hot summer in HK. Salmon and salmon egg is very very fresh too, high standard of sashimi which you can only have in expensive Japanese restaurant.

Parma ham with mozzarella cheese is a must order for me, $98 only, more than 6 pieces of big cheese with more than 10 pieces of ham, what a good deal.

Lamb chop is also a dish that can't be missed, I don't know what is the sauce, brown in color, taste really good and match with the medium cooked lamb chop very much, the lamp chop is cooked very well, never over cooked, exactly what you order, no matter medium rare or well done, very juice. Even the side dish fired square potato taste so different with the special sauce.

Dessert is great too, I love the orange sorbet, so juice and fresh, it made from a real orange not orange juice, the meat is taken out and made to sorbet, finished sorbet is put back to the empty orange and frozen.

It also have many Japanese style appetizer like sashimi, e.g. hamachi, salmon, tuna etc and always come with herbs or special sauce. Fresh, cold and not oily at all, good for summer and girls who can't eat a lot.

Place is comfortable, not noisy, many Japanese customer, you won't hear people shutting to each other.

They have dinner course as well, 1 appetizer + 1 main course pasta + wine or dessert is $256, for grill main course, $326 only.

There's still too many dishes I haven't tried, will definately go again!

在喝咖啡之前,看來什麼甜品好吃,發現只有檸檬慕絲較吸引,所以只要這個。檸檬慕絲做得很清香,酸酸的很消滯,加上脆脆的餅底,及蛋糕餡,想不到水準一點也不差。

埋單每人一百蚊,不算很便宜,但地方不錯,食物也好,不失為一個吃意大利簡餐的地方。

環境尚可, 食物很特別, 不是很美味,份量少得可憐.service很不能接受,兩個人去,一人食完主菜另一碟都未到!

I went there for birthday lunch, we around 13 ppl ordered like 6 steaks and 7 other dishes. We made the ordere at around 12:20pm. The 7 other dishes and 1 steak came in around 10 mins.For the rest 5 steaks, we have beening watiting until 1:20pm, for an hour! During the time, we tried to chase but those waitress just ignored us.The steaks came finally in an hour. Holy! some of us ordered medium, and turned out it's RAW BEEF! just like those raw beef u get from food market (including the shape, t

I was in the restaurant with my friend at Christmas eve. The place was only 1/3 full the whole night but we were served at a small table just 2 feet from the entrance which I refused and were then brought inside. The restaurant got only only several young English speaking waitresses and I did not find any captain or manager. They were working just like in a fast food shop. Wine list was provided only on request. Menu was in English only. Food was served in the wrong timing. The bottle of sparkling wine I ordered was just put barely on the small table beside a bag which belong to a young man sitting in the table on my left. The main course was put down in the vacant table on my right long before I finished my antipasta....

Service as a whole is just like you are having dinner in a 2nd class chinese restaurant or slight better that in a fast food shop.

I would not the restaurant to anyone who would expect even average service.

Made reservation 3 days ago but they erroneously gave my table away even though I arrived with my friends on time so had to wait til someone leaves. The waitresses are not very smart, talks really loudly to each other, so don't count on having a quiet meal. They don't have time to clean tables between meals so beware of left-over from last table when you arrive. I ordered a testeless salad and a prawn and brocolli spagetti which

I ordered a testeless salad and a prawn and brocolli spagetti which tasted worse than the macaroni and cheese I made for my dog 2 days ago; trust me, you can probably do better in your own kitchen. For some unknown reasons, they serve your appetizer and main course at the same time. In the middle of lunch, their manager actually called with an attitude to ask whether I am still coming?!?!?!

On the whole, I just can't think of a single reason to return to Sagrantino. In fact, I wouldn't return to this restaurant even if they pay me to. am sure you would be happier to lunch at the nearby Tsui Wah...PEOPLE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!
