This restaurant over many years and eating there at least a few times a month stands out. The whole experience is crafted brilliantly from the moment you sit down to each stage. More often than not the chef himself will appear and add some special touch to the proceedings. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough whether you are getting together with friends or seeking a romantic moment with the one you love.

There's been no secret that Seasons by Olivier E has slowly established themselves as one of the top French restaurants in the city. Scallop tartare, fennel cream and lemon emulsion - I usually started things off with their signature lobster jelly and avocado dish but since it's my first visit in 2017, perhaps it's time for a change?

I went with their scallop tartare this time around. The finely diced fresh scallop was met with a refreshing mix of fennel cream and lemon emulsion, This was served with ice on the bottom to keep the temperature right. Pretty refreshing and definitely not a bad start (Grade: 3.5/5).

Prawn / Avocado / Lobster jelly & Romaine leaves - I miss this dish and I miss it badly. This has the perfect balance of flavors coming from the diced prawns, avocado and lobster jelly. The scallop tartare wasn't bad at all but this was just too good. I managed to steal a spoonful of this from mom and yes, it's still the best choice for starter around here (Grade: 5/5).

Escargot fricassée with tomato and Pastis sauce - Almost all five of us agreed on this one, well except one of us. I had this many many times like the previous lobster jelly and avocado dish and I never seemed to get tired of it. The escargots were done just right and the savory tomato and Pastis sauce was perfect with a slight kick of spiciness. Pretty nice (Grade: 4/5).

63C poached egg, mushroom, bacon foam, red wine and shallot sauce - Someone courageous went with the 63 degree poached egg with mushroom, bacon foam, red wine and shallot sauce. This was okay but would definitely be hard pressed to beat out with the escargots fricassée (Grade: 3/5).

Massala prawn with Venere rice risotto - Mom wanted risotto so this was an easy choice for her. I had this dish once before and didn't really like the combination of grilled prawns and "purple rice" but if you happen to be a diehard fan of those two ingredients, then this was worth a punt.

Duck leg Confit, red cabbage compoté and quinoa - I must have been here way too many times already coz this dish Jelloman was having, I also had the pleasure of having it once before. The duck leg was once again very tender and juicy in the middle while a little crispy on the outside. The red cabbage and quinoa did tone down the flavors of the duck ever so slightly so it won't be too "salty" for the palate (Grade: 3.5/5).

Stewed wild boar, sweet potato foam and pepper sauce - I went with their stewed wild boar myself and was a little pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

Under the layer of crispy crackers and mashed potatoes on top laid a bed of tender and juicy wild boar meat. This was served with a flavorful sauce made with the wild boar jus and pepper so it was a little spicy. There was no sign of the sweet potato foam as advertised in the menu though. 

I thought this dish was seriously good. With Chef Olivier's previous experience at L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, there was no question in my mind that he's capable of creating a dish like this with a killer mash (oh yes, with lots and lots of butter) but the texture and flavor from the wild boar did surprise me in a good and tasteful way. I definitely won't mind having this again although it might prove to be pretty heavy for those looking for a lighter meal (Grade: 4/5).

It's beautifully plated too. I thought the mild acidity from the yoghurt ice-cream was quite an interesting match with the creamy pistachio and sweetened pear (Grade: 4/5).

White chocolate and cream cheese Chantilly, mixed berries and balsamic-strawberry sorbet - I missed out on the Paris-brest because I couldn't pull the trigger when we initially placed our order. I asked our server to check with me again after the finish of my main dish and that turned out to be a very poor decision on my part as I was later informed that it's already been sold out. So, I was left stranded with this combination of white chocolate, cream cheese chantilly, mixed berries and balsamic strawberry sorbet.

If it's any consolation, I thought the various degree of acidity here did well to offset the richness of my previous wild boar and escargot dishes. It didn't look as good as the Paris-brest but I like the results (as a palate cleanser)  (Grade: 3.5/5).

What I enjoy most about Seasons by Olivier Elzer is how they are able to deliver their dishes on a consistently high standard. That's a quality that's not often seen even for some of the Michelin starred restaurants in town.

早兩個月前的 booking 終於食到 “SEASONS ” 的 SUNDAY BUNCH 了,整體來說我覺得是物有所值,由冷盤·沙律·粟米濃湯到BUNCH 必有的雞蛋食譜,這店提供了三款有水煮蛋·炒蛋·奄列,以至主菜的味道也不錯,最後甜品部分雖然不是有很多選擇,但每款都做得出色是比較難得的。冷盤包括了長腳蟹·龍蝦·生蠔·凍蝦等,全部都很新鮮而且肉質鮮嫩,特別是凍蝦其實我平時是一隻起兩隻止,但今天吃了有半打,所以這些只要加上新鮮檸檬汁,已經很美味。加上我個人比較起款的火腿冷盤,這次有4·5款不同的選擇再加上兩款煙三文魚,我的吃法是烘脆一些法飽把火腿片或煙三文魚放上一起食yummy. 另外,他們也有一些牛油果龍蝦啫喱·生牛肉片·牛肉他他等,配上麵包也一流,當然食糧不多的朋友,就不要食那麽多麵包,因為還主菜要食呢…今次我們分別試了三款不同的主菜,燒牛肉·煎盧魚·白酒煮青口,最出色是那個青口軟滑不過火,而牛肉朋友那件稍為生了一點,因為下單時根本沒有問我們要的熟成度,這點要改善。煎魚也做到了魚皮香脆魚肉嫩滑👍最後是水果·甜品,我試了牛奶布丁·馬卡龍·芒果小餅·草莓海綿蛋糕·檸檬撻·原味拿破崙等

最後是水果·甜品,我試了牛奶布丁·馬卡龍·芒果小餅·草莓海綿蛋糕·檸檬撻·原味拿破崙等……都不會太甜,真心覺得可以多吃。

總結一下要改善架地方是服務人員不夠細心,我試過在位置上,攑手示意了超過5次都沒有人留意到,最後要自己出去叫他們才行。不過這個 Bunch 的用餐時間由 11:30 至 3:30 last order...可坐至4:00,服務人員有走神的一刻我是可以理解的。🤔

We celebrated the first day of Le French May with Paris Afternoon Tea at Seasons by Olivier E. We liked the ambience there with many lovely floral arrangements and spacious fixtures in a dimly lighted section. It was comfortable and relaxing. Once settled, we were promptly served with water, tiers of savories and a wooden box of rich pastries that were so rich with buttery-caramel aroma. I had a pot of Sweet Memories tea to complement these lovely tidbits. For savories, I liked Salmon à la Paris

We liked the ambience there with many lovely floral arrangements and spacious fixtures in a dimly lighted section. It was comfortable and relaxing.

For savories, I liked Salmon à la Parisienne and Alaska King Crab & Egg Mimosa the most as I was more a seafood person and the à la Parisienne sauce with poached salmon was a taste I had not had for a long time, like Proust's "In Search of Lost Time", memories surged.

For pastries, they were all good. I was particularly impressed by their Apple & Cinnamon Mousse with very unique taste and aroma.

Seasons by Olivier in Causeway Bay has been offering afternoon tea set as one of their main atttaction. From its advertising photos, it is definitely very attractive with the wooden box tray. Seats are hot and definitely need reservation weeks ahead.We finally able to get a seat with friend gathering; however, we came out a bit disappointed. We finally able to get a seat with friend gathering; however, we came out a bit disappointed. The presentation is nice as 3 layers of savouries plus the wooden tray for the scones and pastries. (Please check the photos for the detail menu.) However, I feel the food quality is rather average and nothing stands out at all. Just a regular tea set quality that does not reflect its michelin star restaurant reputation. From the rather cold croissant, to the over toasted baguette, all the way towards the so so vanilla mille, it just feel very average. They are not bad but just .....

Maybe again huge expectation turns into somewhat disappointment. I also believe somehow the food quality and delicacy is affected by the amount of tables they served. It is full house during the Sat afternoon 330pm to 6pm. Almost seems like they are mass producing these tray of tea sets, which makes me feel of paying 500 HKD for 2 does not live up to the standard.

Enviroment is very nice and it is comfortable for friends gathering, but I simply cannot give out a recommendation due to its very average food quality for tea set.

Savouries有五款:
1.牛油火腿牛角包:無乜特別,仲漏左火腿,牛角包唔鬆化,仲有點韌,應該唔夠新鮮,沒有一星餐廳應有的水準。
2.法式三文魚啫喱:三文魚肉浸在啫喱中,表面有些沙律醬,味道鹹鹹地,有少少半流質狀,唔係難食,不過唔太喜歡。
3.磨茹鵝肝醬:這個磨茹配合鵝肝醬幾甘香,鹹鹹地,有少少松露香,是咸點中比較好少少的。

朱古力咖啡醬忌廉:這是唯一在甜點中比較好少少的,入口滑滑地,朱古力味十足,有少少甘醇的味道。
雲尼拿千層酥:雲尼拿cream 應該不是用雲尼拿籽造的, 味道甜美但唔夠雲尼拿香,酥皮也不鬆化。
Apple cinnamon mousse:味道幾清新,微甜有少少酸,很light 的質地。

今次幾次叫待應加水,他也忘記;而牛角包更漏夾火腿;是次是第三次到seasons, 上兩次食午餐不過不失,而今次食tea 實在失望。無論咸點同甜點都無乜驚喜,味道十分普通,而法包更入口韌到咬不下,以這價錢應該有不少更好的選擇,應該無下次。

Booked afternoon tea a few days in advance and didn't know until we got here that there's a private event and the seating outdoor/ by the windows are all unavailable. So we were seated into the indoor area where lighting was dim and didn't have the afternoon tea vibe ( in my opinion a fancy restaurant should let customers know about that when the booking was made) The food was just okay with no surprise. Servers are obviously not trained. They were not occupied but they cannot hear you when you

I read an article about their weekend brunch. It looked quite nice and i haven't visited it. So decided to give it a try.We booked 2 weeks ahead. It seems quite popular. On the day we went, it was full house. As soon as we sat down, we were handed an menu. But the waitstaff didn't give us any introduction. It was quite a big menu. Appetiser and dessert on buffet counter, breakfast and main on menu. The free flow wine & beer, and bubbles was surprisingly good value. Not bad price at all.

The seafood is the biggest attraction for the brunch. There were Lobster, oyster, crab legs, and shrimp. I had a few oyster before the house was full. The oysters were all so tiny and not freshly shucked. They tasted a little bit fishy. The lobster was the biggest disappointment. It was tasteless! Same as the shrimp. However, the crab leg was very delicious! They tasted way more delicious than the lobster!

Apart from seafood, there was cold cut, cheese, beef carpaccio, burrata, smoked salmon, tuna steak etc. Selection was not bad and well made.

For egg any style. I ordered pouched because it wasn't as filling as other. Omelettes was huge, much bigger size than we would have expected.

Then it came to main. We ordered mussels and roasted beef.

Again the main was quite disappointing too. We got some dead mussels in the pot. A couple of them, the beard was still stuck to the shell.

Dessert counter was rather small. The only hot dessert was a green tea egg waffle. I was thinking really? I can easily get one off the street. I would rather have a nice pancake. And personally i dont like any green tea dessert. But it is just me being picky.

Other dessert was nothing surprising. But tasted ok.

I wouldn't say the wonderful article on magazine was misleading. But the brunch was quite disappointing and we would probably wont come back again.

復活節留港消費,所以與好友去豪一餐。雜誌介紹呢間高質素的 Brunch,決定一試。位置剛好在室內及室外之間,可以欣賞室外環境之餘,卻有冷氣嘆,太正。好吸引:幾款蛋和主菜(黃油雞、三文魚、豬扒) 都想 order 沒有調味的海鮮,啱我口味。蠔不是肥美品種,有海水味,易入口。龍蝦牛油果凍 yummy,要 encore 嘩,我的另一種至愛:燒吞拿魚配牛油果醬,又係要 encore最後決定揀 omelette ,因為仲有一堆配料,好味可惜煙肉煎得太乾身,咬唔爛主腳:黃油雞。第一啖有驚喜好似食緊濃縮雞湯,鳮肉嫩滑真係太飽了,所以只能食一碟甜品。其中馬卡龍及朱古力的甜品也屬我❤️

Over the weekend, a few restaurants got together to offer eggettes for an Eggette Festival. There were so many of the usual suspects but one stand peaked my interest as they aren't known for offering eggettes. And that place was Seasons by Oliver E. Michelin starred French restaurant offering Hong Kong style street food?I was definitely in line and so were a lot of other people.The eggettes cost $60. They offered two versions: chocolate with chocolate ice cream and matcha with matcha ice cream.

Over the weekend, a few restaurants got together to offer eggettes for an Eggette Festival. Michelin starred French restaurant offering Hong Kong style street food?

I was definitely in line and so were a lot of other people.

The eggettes cost $60. They offered two versions: chocolate with chocolate ice cream and matcha with matcha ice cream. As I'm not a chocolate fan, I got the matcha one.

The matcha eggette came with a small scoop of matcha ice cream, mochi, a matcha tuille and azuki bean paste, all swirled with some chocolate sauce. Fancy. The eggette was super crispy and not cakey enough. I like it a bit more cakey. There also wasn't a lot of matcha taste. The tuille was really good. Crispy with a strong taste of matcha. The ice crem was creamy and it melted quite fast. The mochi was chewy.  But the winner was the azuki bean paste. It was probably the best azuki bean paste I've ever had. It was smooth like peanut butter. Not too sweet.

For $60, it wasn't a very good eggette. There are far better places. It seemed the accompaniments were much better than the star of the show. But an interesting submission to the Eggette Festival.

但有點是肯定的:這裡無論是海鮮,還是沙律,都不同於外邊 buffet 貨色,會優質/精緻高質很多。以龍蝦為例,肉煮至七成熟、很富彈性,外邊全熟的急凍龍蝦絕不能同日而語!

雖然離 buffet 位遠一點,個人認為,最佳的用餐位置始終是擁有自然光的 Spring Garden 範圍,這天一家人也是選坐這裡!第一輪先以健康的乳酪打底,加上蜜糖、奇異果、芒果、藍莓後滋味極佳,對腸胃又好,大家也千萬別錯過~

健康高纖沙律菜及鈣質豐富的芝士也是我的打底之寶,場內供應自助沙律吧,添加了凱撒沙律醬的羅馬生菜從來是我至愛,而番茄沙律更是估不到的清甜好吃,大家也別錯過!

火腿凍肉有4-5款之多,水準不錯;同時又有優質煙三文魚,加上刁草、酸忌廉後十分好吃。更不能錯過以沙律菜卷著呈上的牛油果沙律,以及店內名物龍蝦啫哩,不吃真的虧大了!

最後還有自助洋蔥湯(瑞士芝士可以無限添加,嘩哈哈哈!)、麵包等,但大家千萬別吃太飽,因為每位付費賓客還有自選蛋類/肉類主菜呢。

來到每位自選雞蛋煮法 Egg Any Style,選擇包括水煮蛋、炒蛋、太陽蛋、奄列;除了炒蛋,全部附上大啡菇、超甜爆汁番茄仔、煙肉及薯餅,下圖是水煮蛋,以籠仔呈上很別致。

幾款中個人最愛奄列 Omelette,中間的蛋還很嫩,味道很佳;太陽蛋就最能討小孩歡心,最後炒蛋沒有獨立拍,但大家可在大合照的角落中找列它縱影呢!

眾多美食中,新鮮開邊龍蝦、龍蝦啫哩、Burrata Cheese 是我的三甲之選;老公則喜愛龍蝦啫哩、生蠔、生牛肉他他;兩兄妹都是蛋迷,每款不同的蛋都吃了不少,另外薯餅、火腿、芝士也非常喜歡。

其實個人建議選點蛋主菜時,可主動要求走掉薯餅,因為接下來還有每位自選主菜,選擇包括:油浸鴨腿、銀鱈魚、漢堡、白酒忌廉煮青口、燒西冷、黃油雞,份量都不輕呢!

首先點了 Seasons 漢堡,侍者見我們有小孩,主動查問是否要全熟,細心值得一讚;更難得是全熟漢堡仍然香口美味,結果是媽媽我吞了一半!下圖是 燒西冷配薯蓉、蔬菜及黑椒汁,西冷是看得出的靚貨,牛魔必吃,而薯蓉更是超香超滑、太好吃了~~~

最後還有 油浸鴨腿配薯蓉及菠菜,太豐富了!還好Chloe妹妹出奇地喜歡這鴨腿,拌著神奇香滑薯蓉吃了好多好多,真乖女~
