好食的炸雞, crispy skin, moist and juicy chicken meat inside with a bit of spicy taste, no need dipping sauce, simply delicious!

the fried ramen with foie gras and king prawn: it is on the chef recommodation menu, not part of the normal menu, the waitress will recommend when you order. With foie gras, any dish will have heavy taste, the ramen sauce is infused with foie gras, which you will easily like it. The king prawn is big but nothing special.  

The ox tougue, thick and chewy, not special. (I prefer monster sushi's)

Oyster wrappin with bacon, again, nothing special, I rather have fresh oysters.

Has been passed by Torimen for so many times never got a charce to try because the restaurant closed beteen 3-6pm. On Sunday, i arrived there around 2pm, not much customer due to the heavy rain. Got myself a seat at the bar near the open kitchen. Personally love to sit at the bar if there is a open kitchan. Ramen texture just right, not too hard or soft. Portion just enough for small eater like me. Title of GOOD RAMEN were based on Noodles itself and the soup base just like husband and wife. Well, i guess i found a "happy married couple" at Torimen.

平日的晩上6時多,我與友人在街中環無無聊聊又肚餓,但距離聚餐的時間還有3小時😩。我兩決定隨便入一間食店吃點小食,先醫下肚,否則等到9點會暈倒的。我們沒有看食評,也沒有Meal,就進了這間食店。由於是即興,沒有訂枱,只剩下吧枱位置有座位。店內的燈光,音樂,餐桌和裝修都顯示出新派的日式風格。在order前,店員送上蔬菜小食,椰菜,靑瓜和紅蘿蔔雖然很新鮮,但我一直以為是食店送,要到付款時才知道小食已按人頭收費😓。點菜時先發覺每款串燒要叫2串起,我跟友人只有2個人,又有下場不能吃太飽,只好叫2款串燒和一碗拉麵share食。燒牛舌厚切燒得十分香口,不會太生或過熟,調味剛好,不會蓋過牛舌本身的味道,而且有咬口,蘸上旁邊的芥末籽醬一同食,更加可口。芝士雞肉捧免治雞肉混合芝士,醬汁味道適中,不會過咸,再蘸過蛋汁,肉棒更加香滑美味海老味噌拉麵麵軟硬適中,湯底香濃,基本配料齊全,味道不錯,但份量超級細!我們只叫了一碗,每人只分到2啖😰。整體食物質素不錯,服務也周到,唯一是上菜速度十分慢,我們只點了三款菜式,但每款需時20-25分鐘才送上,趕時間的就不要選此店。價錢也比較高,食了這麼少,已經1個人平均要$1

麵軟硬適中,湯底香濃,基本配料齊全,味道不錯,但份量超級細!我們只叫了一碗,每人只分到2啖😰。

整體食物質素不錯,服務也周到,唯一是上菜速度十分慢,我們只點了三款菜式,但每款需時20-25分鐘才送上,趕時間的就不要選此店。價錢也比較高,食了這麼少,已經1個人平均要$180,晚餐在此吃,有點兒不化算。

燒紫菜白飯魚飯糰,燒得外層香脆帶點焦香,難得飯糰本身沒有過乾,火候控制得很好呢。至於我們這夜食到的蔬菜類串燒水準都普遍較為一般,就沒有很值得推介的了。

一場來到Torimen,除了食串燒yakitori外,當然亦要一嚐這裡另一主打ramen啦。
 這裡的拉麵湯底有蝦味噌,醬油,鹽味和牛油粟米鹽味,而蝦味噌拉麵更可點辣味噌。各款聽來都幾吸引,可惜食完串燒後大家都幾飽,只能合力食到一碗拉麵。最後,我們選擇了碗辣味噌蝦湯拉麵,而辣度就要中辣。

湯底濃又厚身,屬於較重口味的。喜歡湯的蝦鮮味夠突出,中辣對能吃辣的我們來說辣度適中,夠過癮而又不過火。叉燒和麵條亦都不錯。

整體來說,環境氣氛輕鬆,食物水準不錯,雖然雞尾酒不算很特別。下次要在Soho吃點居酒屋輕食和傾傾計,還有那濃郁鮮味蝦味噌拉麵,會再想起Torimen。

The soup base was thick and flavourful with the taste of prawns. It was a tad too rich for me personally, as I felt a little queasy after having about half the bowl. But it was by no means bad. The ramen noodles was a generous helping. Unlike other ramen joints in town, there wasn't an option to have the ramen noodles harder or softer. But they were nicely al dente here anyway. I had an onsen egg with the ramen as well, which was a tad too cold as it was served about 5-6 minutes before the ramen arrived. 

The fried oysters were big, plump and juicy but a little too oily.

平時去日本餐廳多數食壽司/定食, 聽聞日本串燒好正上網做左research, 見呢間食評都唔錯, 裝修又幾有特色就趁男友生日倆口子去試一試啦 環境去到同想像有啲出入, 都幾暗的, 同埋有漫畫背景的檯只有幾張圍住柱大約有15個位, 其餘都係bar檯位同埋大部份都係去啤一啤, 所以都嘈嘈地食物牛肋骨 $45/串 (8/10)都幾juicy, 燒得岩岩好! 會想再encore明太子雞翼 $28/串 (6/10)性價比ok, 但係重味左啲, 同埋冇咩特別銀鱈魚 $48/串 (7/10)唔係入口即溶果隻, 而且只係普通鱈魚. 但係隻汁都ok番薯 $28/串 (7/10)甜但係冇咩肉, 比較mini size, 唔抵食自家製雞肉串 $48/串 (7/10)幾好味同有特式, 個汁跟隻生蛋黃俾你溝埋再點黎食肉有啲似肉餅質地冬菇 $26/串 (5/10)好普通, 冇咩菇味又唔juicy海老味噌拉麵 $68 (8/10)湯底濃得黎唔咸! 麵質岩岩好! 基本配料都有可惜冇跟蛋的, 同埋係平時拉麵size既一半Asahi $58唔夠凍....總括而言食物質素都唔錯, 但係性價比唔夠高會想再去試下個lunch

題外話/補充資料: 1. 其實我唔清楚其他日式串燒店係未會咁, 除左加一, 另外每2人再收$28小食(有青瓜紅蘿蔔絲椰菜), 而且唔太新鮮 2. 餐廳知道我男友生日, 送左綠茶雪糕加支蠟燭, 都幾有heart :) 3. 其間發現lunch set幾抵食, 大約$100 有拉麵加串燒, 因為夜晚冇dinner set, 全部散叫, 仲要每款起碼要叫2串, 所以岩3-4個人食多啲

THE UNAGI WAS AWWWWWEESOOOMEEEE!! and it came with poached egg. Meatful mouthfuls of unagi + yolk drenched+unagi sauce rice is a perfect.. PERFECT.. combination. nom nom nom

Last to appear was fried chicken. It was pretty good. The batter was crispy. Chicken was tender.

I thought I would feel some strong japanese anime/cartoon theme when I visit this place. But I felt none. Only thing in relation to that was the wall of anime. Told my friend what I felt, as he is a japanese cartoon fan. He said the lack of anime vibe was fine. He just liked being inside restaurants like this one.

I am still reminiscing about the unagi rice =)

3人來這裡吃lunch,皆因它的蝦味噌拉麵。他們都要蝦的,那就讓我來試試魚的。其實啲材料都幾新鮮加柚子醋汁,唔錯。這鯛魚豚骨(味噌?)拉麵,毫無魚味或豚骨或味噌味,其實我在吃甚麼..這並非現在普遍拉麵店般可選拉麵硬度等(因為是lunch set的關係吧?),我個人偏愛硬麵,但他硬度一般,是可接受的程度。好,我再試他們的蝦湯...確有香香的蝦味。但仔細一點嚐,其實湯頭也是並無香味或蝦味可言,是靠那櫻花蝦碎。就是失敗的湯。幸好加了這溏心蛋,很不錯。蛋夠香,流心能夠湧出來,已經是令人很愉快的蛋了。Set lunch還配小吃小蕃薯 不香甜燒鯖魚 香甜多汁明太子釀雞翼 沒有明太子香,明太子混有豬肉再釀還試了他們set的小吃:炸豬扒 - 會說他是一塊有靭度的豬扒,但不是乾柴那種,還不錯辣炸雞 - 像是用麥皮來炸雞(?) 只有辣味,沒雞味一次就夠了。關於這,我沒查証過。

這鯛魚豚骨(味噌?)拉麵,毫無魚味或豚骨或味噌味,其實我在吃甚麼..
這並非現在普遍拉麵店般可選拉麵硬度等(因為是lunch set的關係吧?),我個人偏愛硬麵,但他硬度一般,是可接受的程度。

好,我再試他們的蝦湯...確有香香的蝦味。但仔細一點嚐,其實湯頭也是並無香味或蝦味可言,是靠那櫻花蝦碎。

就是失敗的湯。

一次就夠了。

This is one of my reviews on meals booked in the Restaurant Week event.

Torimen is a Japanese restaurant that serves ramen all day but only yakitori in the evening. Maybe that’s why they only offer dinner menu in the Restaurant Week. Charging at $438 per person, all the items in the dinner set are compulsory and they are available a la carte. Unless going by oneself, the Restaurant Week menu is less attractive and I would suggest ordering a la carte for more flexibility.

Although it’s a good design of half portion of ramen in the dinner menu, the ramen was so good that I wouldn’t mind sparing my capacity for a full portion. The soup base of this signature ramen was prepared with ebi (shrimp) essence and miso paste. Free from MSG but the shrimp flavour was very intense. A good round up of the dinner even dessert was not included.

This is a new cuisine under the monthly promotion menu , the eggplant is cold with a juicy content , no marination or any seasonings added to keep its nature. Assorted vegetables are fresh and crunchy , the egg with its runny temptation , spread out its melty egg yolk and blend well with its own vinegar dressing , very refreshing bites ! Here it comes . Grilled oyster with nori risotto . This oyster really hit the spot light ! Even though the oyster was not big , but taste marvelous with its incredible freshness and plump texture . Oyster itself is very juicy and succulent with a smooth texture . Cover with some kind tasty special sauce that is very arousing , and underneath a spoonful of risotto certainly enhanced the overall mouthfuls ! This is another seafood highlight that I truly indulged in it ! Torimen indicated all yakitori are cooked at the optimal temperature of 400 Celsius in order to create it most intense char - grill taste. This scallop is extremely hot to keep its cheesy flavor . Scallop is unexpectedly gigantic , presented in its big shell and mixed well with assorted mushroom ! The taste are fabulously creamy and luscious ! While the cheesy sauce is very strong and rich in flavor , somehow it still won't cover its scallop own fresh hint . Scallop is firm in texture , irresistible . The heat and tastes definitely moves you . This is also a must try item despite the oyster ! Both are highly recommended !

The cheese content seductively ooz out in your mouth after the first bite . Soft chicken bone included to add some crunch texture , but generally mouthfuls are soft with the tender minced chicken meat . The chicken stick goes well with the typical sweet soy sauce and raw egg yolk . All of them melded entirely , accompany each other perfectly! One word to describe: Impeccable ! Tasty prawn infused soup reminiscent of Malaysian prawn mee soup . The broth is in very strong prawn paste , dense and rich . Torimen prides the soup was simmered under low heat for 8 hours with absolutely no MSG added in . Customer can choose their own tastes and flavor , like saltiness , spiciness etc , just depends on your scale . Ramen is very chewy, still maintain its al dente mouthfuls in Sapporo style . With its bouncy thick character ,noddles got it potential to absorb the broth thoroughly . The butter ramen smelled irresistible. The whole bowl of ramen permeated in a favorable buttery hint and made the ramen even more palatable. Sweet corn create perceptible sweetness , form a sightly contrast to the salty broth . Sliced pork is in a tender texture , grease and it meat was in a moderate proportion , not too fatty . But since I am not a Pork lover , I just have a small bite , I still think it's too fattening when I saw the grease . You know , girls own perception , this is a bias . Cartoon and comics drawings handcraft in big format all over the walls ,chic and stylish . It's certainly a good place for social gathering with some nice vibes music . 餐廳的名字是串燒 跟 拉麵 的結合,裝潢時尚中帶低調感,牆壁畫滿以拉麵為主題的日式風格漫畫拉麵款式只有幾款不算很多,而串燒方面的選擇就非常豐富,友人詢問我有什麼不吃後就由他來發辦嚕來這裡之前還挺期待的,網絡上的評價很不錯,加上店裡對客人「食其鮮味」之承諾每區的座位都不同,有小餐桌、開放式廚房旁的吧? 與 餐廳中央的共用餐桌冷冷又下雨的週一,餐廳顯得份外冷清都被我們 "包場" 了來個健康的開始~ 黑松露溫泉玉子沙律爽脆新鮮的沙律菜,輕輕把蛋刺穿 再跟 香氣逼人的黑松露混合在一起整個搭配得很棒,濃香的蛋液沾上菜後變得更清爽又開胃這是當天的推介,明太子茄子...哇哈哈,我又亂取名字了是冷盤來的,冰冰涼涼的茄子扎實中帶點軟腍,吃起來有陣陣的昆布香淋上香甜纏綿的明太子,這滋味瞬間在味蕾上爆發,好愛這個喔串燒師父就在我們前面一直烤著,值得贊許的是,完全沒有油煙飄來我們這喔~因為我還蠻怕吃完串燒後,離開時衣服會沾上濃烈的臭味這2串牛肉都烤得很美,口水都流下來1串是爽爽脆脆的牛舌 但 略帶韌感另1串忘了是什麼牛 肉質鮮嫩多汁,但要花點牙力飯糰烤得過焦都黑黑的,吃起來滿是焦臭飯粒偏硬燒得很死實,失望啊芝

這是當天的推介,明太子茄子...哇哈哈,我又亂取名字了
是冷盤來的,冰冰涼涼的茄子扎實中帶點軟腍,吃起來有陣陣的昆布香
淋上香甜纏綿的明太子,這滋味瞬間在味蕾上爆發,好愛這個喔

串燒師父就在我們前面一直烤著,值得贊許的是,完全沒有油煙飄來我們這喔~
因為我還蠻怕吃完串燒後,離開時衣服會沾上濃烈的臭味

芝士雞肉棒 還沒吃芝士已經跑了出來
鮮橘色鮮甜的蛋黃 與 醬油混合後再配著雞肉吃,滋味頗不錯 裡頭有脆脆的軟骨增添口感

日本殼付鵪鶉蛋 這算是最為特別的,連蛋殼燒至半熟的鵪鶉蛋
一同放進口裡,清脆的外殼 薄薄一層又嫩嫩的蛋白 澎湃的蛋液混在一起,感覺很妙
挺過癮的,而且蛋殼有消毒過吃起來很安心

鱔魚厚厚的,簡單的鹽烤味道最讚
扎實爽爽的口感,吃得到肉的鮮甜 而 不覺膩

我愛的雞皮也烤得香脆可口,只是份量吃不過癮啦
這盤的串燒也是唯一滿意的...唉

辣味蝦拉麵,名字是我亂取的 印象中也差不多這樣吧
極濃郁的鮮蝦味湯底,辣味有助提鮮也有點晴的效果
這辣味竄進喉嚨後慢慢的散發出來,是濃香可接受的程度
麵條份量雖不多但富蛋香,掛湯能力也強~ 大片圓塊的叉燒肥瘦適中肉質軟腍

餐後感,對於整體而言
不論是餐廳設計感 及 服務態度都非常OK ,但串燒方面有好有差
價格稍微偏高,就這樣2個人吃了快 HKD500 都很空虛,完全沒有飽足感!!

八月十九日 (星期一)記得六月日本之旅前,來個這裡吃這碗蝦湯拉麵,真的一試難忘回來後,不斷的帶朋友來吃,整個月,吃了六七回,真的有點誇張還記得,此餐廳剛開業時,因地點關係,午市時段總不會滿座,不過,今時今日,出了名,還是先訂位方為上策只要是質素好的餐廳,單靠口碑一傳十,十傳百,不用賣廣告今次除了再吃招牌蝦湯味噌拉麵外,亦想試試新推出的沾麵這碗蝦湯味噌拉麵,遠遠已聞到極濃郁的鮮蝦味湯頭用了大量蝦殼經,每日長時間新鮮熬製蝦湯配合味噌是妙極的配搭,完全可以突出蝦的鮮香麵條彈牙富蛋香味,掛湯力強沾滿誘人惹味的蝦湯後,麵條非常好吃,一級棒!!!上面的蝦已半剥殼,方便食用蝦肉爽口,溏心蛋味美,要把湯喝得一乾二淨,絕對無難度!是我倆近來吃過最滿意的一碗湯拉麵沾麵是較為粗身的麵條,蛋香卻比湯麵的淡一點不過質地仍是彈牙,掛湯力也不錯還以為這倘蝦湯味會比湯拉麵的更為濃郁,可是剛好相反後加的湯更沖淡了本身蝦湯味所以兩者中,還是較喜歡蝦湯味噌拉麵 午市亦有供應小食,更可以用優惠的價錢吃到其中一口豚肉未吃過,倒也值得一試炸成金黃色的外層,吃落香脆又不油膩,豚肉鬆化好吃午市時段,會向每位客人送上雪糕一球是日是芝

湯頭用了大量蝦殼經,每日長時間新鮮熬製
蝦湯配合味噌是妙極的配搭,完全可以突出蝦的鮮香
麵條彈牙富蛋香味,掛湯力強
沾滿誘人惹味的蝦湯後,麵條非常好吃,一級棒!!!
上面的蝦已半剥殼,方便食用
蝦肉爽口,溏心蛋味美,要把湯喝得一乾二淨,絕對無難度!

是日是芝麻味,雪糕中夾雜著粒粒芝麻碎
富層次感之餘又非常香濃,很有水準!
先後來的幾日,也有紅豆,抹茶等口味,日日不同款

不用多說,會繼續帶朋友來吃~
