Two of us for a weekday dinner:2 glasses of wine, 2 main courses, 1 side dish and 2 desserts.Restaurant was about half full, white-painted upstairs room airy and comfortable.My main dish was pretty darned good. Two steaming hot fish fillets, crunchy skin and just-right flesh, floating on top of a pretty rich clam chowder. As far as I could tell the beef wasn't bad either. Desserts were quite yummy but TINY. Two of us for a weekday dinner:
2 glasses of wine, 2 main courses, 1 side dish and 2 desserts.
Restaurant was about half full, white-painted upstairs room airy and comfortable.

My main dish was pretty darned good. Two steaming hot fish fillets, crunchy skin and just-right flesh, floating on top of a pretty rich clam chowder. As far as I could tell the beef wasn't bad either.

Desserts were quite yummy but TINY. Just the dish was smaller than the palm of my hand. We tried the chocolate mousse cake and apple crumble with honeycomb (or was it caramel?) ice cream.

Pricey. Good food, nice, quiet and comfortable environment.

平時經過都覺得這裡的生意一般﹐那天walk-in 居然滿座了。幸好服務員立即打電話去confirm 午餐的booking﹐有一檯cancel﹐我們才不用摸門釘。被安排坐近廚房門口﹐侍應們經常出出入入的﹐感覺比較忙碌﹐不過總比在沙塵滾滾的路旁座位要強多了。午市套餐$98 兩道菜﹐$118 三道菜﹐又或者現在正在做promotion﹐主菜2 送1﹐都好抵。不過第一次來﹐就試試他們的套餐吧﹐可以比較經濟的試多些菜式。頭盤可選餐湯或者沙律﹐我們每樣要一個share 來食。沙律有多種綠葉菜蔬﹐全部新鮮爽翠﹐配個調味得宜的balsamic vinegar 汁已經好好味。湯是海鮮湯﹐味道鮮甜﹐不過就個人口味來說﹐是太鹹了點。主菜有三款﹐我們要了Sea Bass with herbed smashed potato & lemon hollandaise sauce 和Australian grain fed striploin with smashed sweet potato & confit garlic/shallot in red wine sauce。個羊肉pasta 都好似好吸引﹐不過唯

餐牌上寫明餐廳所用的魚都是新鮮﹐不是雪藏的﹐所以不是所有餐牌上的魚都一定有得供應。那是日午餐牌的都應該是新鮮魚啦(當然不是游水那種新鮮﹐不過肉質有彈性﹐有魚的鮮味﹐只加了鹽和胡椒粉已經好好味﹐那個sauce 用來裝飾而已)。

Striploin 要了medium﹐真的裡面粉紅色﹐沒有血水﹐但肉質還是軟熟﹐不會乾﹐非常之好(因友人怕血的﹐我又怕太熟會好鞋)。配菜也有心思﹐用的不是一般餐廳的薯仔茸而是番薯茸。甜甜的番薯﹐辛口的焗蒜頭﹐和牛扒是出乎意料之外的配合﹐我喜歡﹗

本來已經飽了﹐但兩個甜牙齒的人實在抵不住誘惑﹐要了一個又一個的甜品。先來了meringue with mango﹐meringue 一概的甜到漏﹐不過新鮮的芒果肉和草莓的酸味算是中和了那甜度﹐才可以勉強吃完。但忍不住再要了Vanilla panna cotta with mixed berries﹐這個沒有那麼甜了﹐好味得多。

下次可以試埋他們的a la carte 餐牌﹐不過一定會訂位才去﹐免得空跑一趟﹗
