Haven’t been back since they relocated from Ocean Terminal. Teacher said he recently came for an event and was impressed by the food quality so he organised wine pairing competition here this evening. Loved the cosy wooden panelled room that they assigned to us.Trio of spring roll, crispy tofu and shrimp ball to start. Particularly impressed by spring roll and crispy tofu. Nicely seasoned and deep fried to golden perfection.Deep fried marble goby to follow. The fish skin was no longer crispy when it was served. Bit of a letdown. Roasted Chicken with Red Bean Curd Sauce 南乳燒雞 to follow. Crispy exterior and succulent interior. It would have been better had it been marinated for a longer period of time. Grilled lamb chops 香草燒羊扒 Meat was tender and did not have the slightest gamy odor that Iamb meat usually have. Beef brisket curry 咖哩牛腩 A highlight for me. Loved the curry sauce that had a rich coconut milk flavour. Overall a restaurant that serves solid Vietnamese/South East Asian cuisine.

#金牛苑 😋😋😋😋😋at first listening to this name. it means in chinese golden beef balls. but actually it is the golden beef place. very similar meaning in chinese pronoun huh.this place feel very grand. there is 3 floors of this big resto. on the wall hanging a very big cow head in golden color, very grant.this place were positioned at high level food but due to our edgimg economy in hk keep bullied by usa and we are fscing economy downside. many resto collapsed and cannot withstand high rent. so these expensive place started lunch set. 88$+1 = 96$the sheep meat was so tinder and juicy. portion is hugh and they hv the cake at final. also serving a ice roll. very yummy lunch. must come back. ciao!#food #hkfood #hongkongfood #台灣美食 #ukfood #ausfood #馬保國 #香港美食 #thunder5dicks #閃電五連鞭
