Having a reunion dinner upon reservation via OpenRice with one of my brightest students in the past. The place was quite cramped but it was acceptable. The food was the problem. The barbecue skewers were the first to blame. Way too fast to serve them on our table (the first dish on our table) Probably they were not cooked and put on the grill upon order. The texture was not good without any hint of barbecue taste. The sauce was not savoury. It was a disastrous dish. The fried flat rice noodles tasted good despite being a bit too oily and being served in a rather small portion. The "explosive" shrimps and the pork jowls were fine. Those saved our night.
What's most disappointing was the fact that we were reminded to finish our dinner quickly in less than an hour after we placed our order. The empty plates on our table were collected as soon as the last bite on the plate was picked up. It was understandable that the restaurant needed to make money as much as possible. However, in the neighborhood of the "Little Thailand", there are many other better choices. Flies were quite common on our table. The tables and chairs were very "Cantonese tradional" if you know what I mean.
