The Wooloomooloo's Restaurants recently have a Steakalicious Set Dinner promotion(Chop House, Wooloomooloo Steakhouse, Wooloomooloo Prime). The price ranged is 350, 450 and 490 respectively. I tried Wooloomooloo Prime last of all.
In view of its highest price, I definitely set the bar quite high out of all these 3 restaurants.
The environment, needless to say, was stunning compared to the other restaurants. It had a stunning view even for a cloudy day.
The bread here is not bad but I liked Wooloomooloo steakhouse bread more. However, other than that Wooloomooloo Prime wins at every aspect.
The starter is a crab cocktail. There was plenty of fresh crab meat in it. The avocado mousee was smooth and the pomelo(grapefruit) balanced the savoriness of the crab perfectly.
The main came out and the steak was perfectly done. It was a perfect medium rare without being chewy. The lobster tail was also cooked just right and its springy texture remained. The mashed potato put into the lobster shell was fragrant and smooth.
The asparagus was grilled and seasoned just slightly to balance out the strong flavor of the main.
I was admiring the the light show when my dessert was served.
The molten centre was rich and gooey(in a good way) and the cake itself was still moist. The gelato was a great match to this rich dessert.
Despite this menu is the most expensive out of all 3 restaurants(490 compared to 350 and 450 of Chop house and Wooloomooloo Steakhouse respectively), given its food, service and environment, this is definitely the best promotion and best value out of all 3. (The review of the other 2 restaurants are also written)
