DO NOT GO TO THIS 池記雲吞麵家in Causeway Bay (opposite Times square) I had my dinner in this restaurant on October 30, 2005 at 7.30pm and I have seen serious hygiene problem inside. It was not too busy at that time and I got a seat directly.Problem 1The bowls for the wanton noodles are stacked on top of one another. It is acceptable IF there is no wanton inside. Problem 1
The bowls for the wanton noodles are stacked on top of one another. It is acceptable IF there is no wanton inside. However, there are 3-4pcs of wanton inside each bowl and chances that the wanton touches the bottom of the bowl on top of it is 100%. There might be some virus stucked at the bottom of the bowl. This is a convenient way for the restaurant owner to have the most no. of food served to the customers during peak hours by stacking up the bowls with wanton inside BUT this is certainly not the way to do if you consider the customers health
Problem 2 - SERIOUS PROBLEM
The staffs cleaned the other tables when the other customers finishes their food and left. They put the used bowls, chopsticks, spoon into a pail under the cleaning area (acceptable) and the HORROR CAME !!!!!!!!!!. They poured the remaining tea into the pail and put the used cups onto the tray on the right side of the table in the cleaning area. AND they pour new tea to the cups and served the tea again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WITHOUT WASHING THE CUPS !!!!!!!!!!!!. To confirm this, I ordered a fresh cup of tea again. The staff took my used cup and put on the tray on the right side of the table and got me another cup with tea. And my used cup was not clean too and filled with tea again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waiting to be served to another customer again !!!!!!!!!
My gosh.... who knows how many customers used the same cup for their meals everyday... They never wash the tea cups and serve again. I sat down and look at them for more than 20 minutes and true enough, I was right, they NEVER wash the tea cups. NEVER NEVER NEVER
So many mainlander Chinese coming to Hong Kong everyday, and according to survey, there are 70% of the population in China are Hepatitis A or B carriers. Do you know that viruses and disease can be spread like this without washing the utensiils??? SO, NEVER visit this restaurant again... ..
