Ayutthay is a Thai restaurant that opened in Causeway Bay that opened recently. Boyfriend and I decided to try it out for lunch where we found it was very busy.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. Sets come with a drink with optional upgrades. We also a soup. This was a coconut lemongrass soup with red onions. It was sour which surprised me. I expected to taste like coconut soup. But it was more like a Tom Yum Kung without the heat. After the initial shock, I quite like

The drinks we had was a Thai Milk Tea (on the left) and a Thai Lime Tea (on the right). Very strong taste and fragrant.
Boyfriend had the Fried Cambodian Rice Noodles with Fresh Shrimp ($68). This was very orange in color. Plenty of large shrimp that tasted fresh with lots of bean sprouts. It was ok though not a lot of flavour.
I had the Boat Fresh White Noodle Soup with Pork ($58). I was taken aback how much pork rinds there were! I think majority of my bowl was this item .There was also some pork balls and pork liver. The noodles were still clumped together, making me to suspect it was pre-made and soup was poured on top when there was an order. The soup was too strong in taste.
Food was ok but not that great. Unsure if I'd be back but I might to try out the Hainan chicken rice.
