Since the change to this oriental theme afternoon tea, I had wanted to try it for quite some time.Recently, Mira's newest promotion was their flash sale which included the afternoon tea. To my surprise, the discount coupon could be used even on most weekends till July (there are still blackout dates for public holidays or special weekends eg. Mother/Fathers day etc.). I bought it and immediately used it on Sunday. The price after discount is around $400 including service charge per set. However,
Recently, Mira's newest promotion was their flash sale which included the afternoon tea. To my surprise, the discount coupon could be used even on most weekends till July (there are still blackout dates for public holidays or special weekends eg. Mother/Fathers day etc.). I bought it and immediately used it on Sunday. The price after discount is around $400 including service charge per set. However, even with the full price including service charge, it is $500 which is still a good price for this afternoon tea.
Besides the usual items of an afternoon tea, we were also offered lime sorberts which were very refreshing.
What I loved about this afternoon tea was that all the desserts were not too sweet.
They made their own spin to the Opera cake by making it as Green Tea instead.
However, my favorite dessert was the mango crumble soft bread. Its buttery aroma was heavenly yet the tartness of the mango balanced the dessert.
Instead of the usual raisin/plain scones, here they serve chocolate chip and yuzu, which was quite amazing.
My favorite savory was the abalone puff pastry. with the pastry still being flaky when served.
Overall I would say a great afternoon tea. I also bought a coupon for Cuisine Cuisine(though only weekdays) for their dinner and I look forward to it.
