For the 2nd time, my sister and I tried to go to Beef & Liberty without success. However, this led us to Ted's Lookout. The last time we attempted to go was at night, but we were informed that the burgers and pasta are only served at lunch, so we left. Luckily, this time we made it for lunch so that we could try their burgers. Environment:Both my sister and I loved how this place felt. Both my sister and I loved how this place felt. The whole atmosphere was so laid back, and I liked the open bar and kitchen.
Their menu is quite small I have to say, but that meant that I could make up my mind easier.
1. Cheeseburger ($128)
For the cheeseburger, you get to choose your own cheese! Your choices include cheddar cheese, bleu cheese, or Gruyere. For me, I chose Gruyere. This burger had a nicely grilled bun, along with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The patty was okay. It was juicy, but could have been flavoured some more. The fries on the side were really good, and the Truffle Aioli that came along was very good as well.
This fish burger had a deep fried sole fillet with jalapeno tartar sauce. The jalapeno gave it a ncie kick. I thought the tartar sauce was quite unique and tasty, but there wasn't enough in the burger. Now for the fish, although the batter was quite thick, the fish was insanely tender. The texture was so soft that it just melted in your mouth! Although the burger was quite greasy, I thought that this burger was really tasty!
The staff were laid back and friendly people, so no wonder the restaurant felt so laid back too. However, maybe because they were so laid back, they were a bit slack on hygiene. For example, I don't think that the person handling the drinks should be handling money since he used his barehands when putting the lemons in the drinks. I know many places do this, but don't let customers see it.
Final Verdcit:
I wouldn't mind going again.
