Cheap and Cheerful Chinese Seafood

Not your typical expat haunt. It is a small dai pai dong style restaurant located down some steps beneath Thai Thai 2 in Pak Sha Wan, not far from Hebe Haven Yacht Club. Our Cantonese friends made the order but there is also a detailed English menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They even had a few children playing nearby. Our Cantonese friends made the order but there is also a detailed English menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They even had a few children playing nearby. Amongst many dishes (and much Tsing Tao beer) we had steamed prawns, sweet and sour pork (without bones), salted and preserved eggs with spinach, fried wontons, steamed fish and black pepper beef. The food was surprisingly fresh and tasty. I particularly liked the steamed prawns and black pepper beef. Even more surprising was the bill: less than $100 per head, excluding beer. Great after a day on the beach!
